Alas, on the scheduled day and time, nobody showed up, and nobody contacted me. I called the office, and Jada said my job was not on their calendar. After she gave me multiple excuses for why Brian failed to show up "for my estimate", it was clear that they had scheduled another estimate and not the actual repair work, and then they didn't even show up for that. The estimate was very fair and the process of getting the estimate and modifying specific parts of it were easy and handled with professionality. The day of the roof installation was also very well handled and completed by a good team and all of the workers and staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We had suspected that several facia boards needed attention or replacement, and that was done as well which was a pleasant surprise and very cost effective. The job was completed in less than a day ( 7 hours from tear off to complete), and the job site was left in a clean and orderly way. I asked him to refer me to a good roofing company and he told me "call MEC"! Colin was very thorough, took his time, and gave me a detailed verbal report on his findings. He agreed that my top quality roof was in good shape overall after 17 years of sun and rain on my ranch. My roof vents are all screened with the 1/8 inch required screens, but I will have MEC's recommended installer screen my eaves as well for additional fire hardening.. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge for Colin's work and I will only call MEC for my future roofing needs.

Years ago I had installed some woodpecker deterrent cables on my chimney. It was awkward getting on…read morethe two story roof to attach the tops, and then using an extension ladder to reach up to attach the bottoms. When we had the house painted a few years ago the painter took them down, and we hadn't had woodpeckers around so I just stored the cables in the garage. But this sprng the buggers came back. At 79 years old there's now way I should be getting on the roof, or an extension ladder. Pat was able to come out and very quickly get them installed for a very reasonable price. We are certainly pleased with the service we got!!!
