I was renting out a storage space from here, while I admit I was behind I called them early February and was told I had til March 11th to make a payment. On the Saturday Feb 21st I received a text that said my move out was successful. Clearly confused I called and received a voicemail. I left a voicemail. With no call back. I called during the week and was told that there was no account associated with my phone number and that the unit I was inquiring about was listed to rent. I pushed for more answers and they couldn't give me any. I explained the situation. The "manager on duty" said the permanent manager would call me the following day. The next day I waited and called at 10am I was then informed that because my unit was "too big" and didn't have a lot of stuff in it they assumed I had abandoned it. And threw everything away. My daughter's new born stuff, my purses everything I had in there. Even though the person I spoke with said my deadline was March 11th. After realizing they screwed up the issue was then escalated to the regional or general manager, Matt. I spoke with Matt briefly and he apologized and owned up to the mistake. They the offered me $500 and to clear the balance that was owed. I told him I would get back to him because I was too upset to make a decision. That Monday I called him back and decided to take the amount offered even though I KNOW I could sue them for what they did. I was told I would get a call back if they would be able to refund me via check. I was also told direct deposit would be within 5-7 days and a check would be 7-10. I never got a call. Fast forward 3 weeks. Still no check or direct deposit refund. I called Matt once more. He said that Friday they would be issuing the check. We are now 2 weeks past that date still no check, still no direct deposit. All my sentimental values of my daughter are gone. Letters her father wrote me while he was in the navy.... GONE. And no sense of urgency on their part. read more

1st day of moving furniture into the unit I rented the day before, was told their lock would be removed so I can move in anytime...the problem is that they didn't remove the their lock and we had to wait 1/2 hr on the 3rd floor in a hot storage building with our stuff. I called the staff member and he said he couldn't find the key! I called again and the manager got involved and said she'd be right there to remove their lock! I had a misunderstanding with a employee by the name of Naomi. Apparently I exited a door that was not supposed to be used. I had no idea it was out of order. The door said exit. We got into a debate about the innocent mistake. To make a long story short she eventually told me that I need to vacate my unit and she would not rent to me. She said I made her feel uncomfortable. She told me that she lives on the premises and she fears for her family. Absolute nonsense. She approached me first out on the sidewalk and made me feel uncomfortable. I had every right has a customer to explain my position but she didn't like my answers. In fact she took it upon herself to alter the contract and told me to vacate based on her emotions. I had not violated any rule or committed any crime. But for the simple fact I made an innocent mistake and let her know that there was no warning sign on the door not to enter it she felt compelled to win an argument by asking me to leave. This facility has the worst "management". Glenn is VERY disrespectful and has a hostile demeanor. I would not recommend anyone do business here for the simple fact that the company would employ someone who treats their customers so badly. A payment error (which was Glenn's fault) turned into a nightmare. Why would the customer have to be treated badly on top of a mistake he made? This unacceptable behavior should not be permitted and needs to be reprimanded by the company. NO ONE should have to deal with this kind of service. The manager here is rude, judgemental, assuming and didn't even give us time to move in our things. She micro manages this is place. The first day she was banging on the storage telling my business partner he didn't belong there and when she checked she was wrong. She also assumed he was homeless and again wrong. Renting a unit here was as easy as it gets. After reserving a space online, I received a phone call and an email confirming that the reservation had been received. The next day I went to look at the unit but didn't get there until 10 minutes before closing. The manager, Glen, did not, however, make me feel rushed or as if he had someplace else to go. Due to time constraints, I did not do the lease paperwork at that time although I suspect Glen would have done so if I had wanted. When I did get back there two days later, Glen made the paperwork as easy as paperwork can be. I appreciated his patience and humor.
