On the Saturday Feb 21st I received a text that said my move out was successful. Clearly confused I called and received a voicemail. I left a voicemail. With no call back. I called during the week and was told that there was no account associated with my phone number and that the unit I was inquiring about was listed to rent. I pushed for more answers and they couldn't give me any. I explained the situation. The "manager on duty" said the permanent manager would call me the following day. The next day I waited and called at 10am I was then informed that because my unit was "too big" and didn't have a lot of stuff in it they assumed I had abandoned it. And threw everything away. My daughter's new born stuff, my purses everything I had in there. Even though the person I spoke with said my deadline was March 11th. After realizing they screwed up the issue was then escalated to the regional or general manager, Matt. I spoke with Matt briefly and he apologized and owned up to the mistake. They the offered me $500 and to clear the balance that was owed. I told him I would get back to him because I was too upset to make a decision. That Monday I called him back and decided to take the amount offered even though I KNOW I could sue them for what they did. I was told I would get a call back if they would be able to refund me via check. I was also told direct deposit would be within 5-7 days and a check would be 7-10. I never got a call. Fast forward 3 weeks. Still no check or direct deposit refund. I called Matt once more. He said that Friday they would be issuing the check. We are now 2 weeks past that date still no check, still no direct deposit. All my sentimental values of my daughter are gone. Letters her father wrote me while he was in the navy.... GONE. And no sense of urgency on their part.

I would have willingly continued to send them a payment for years to come, but they don't seem to value that. PS is an excellent place to store your possessions. If the land prices around the area goes up, your rent will go up too) and I wanted to downsize because I took out some stuff and didn't need that big of a space anymore. Gabriel was very patient with me as I wanted to wait for the price to drop before transferring to the smaller unit. He always wears a mask and keeps his distance for safety purposes. Three weeks later, I got my new smaller unit. It was thoroughly cleaned. Gabriel is cleaner than the previous manager, and I hope he stays for a long time here. He is also very nice to give me the first available unit closest to the entrance. He tries to give you the best service possible under the given circumstances, really. He also allowed me to borrow the moving dolly to move my stuff from one unit to another. Very very kind and helpful. He goes out of his way to gives the customers the best possible options or alternatives. The storage facility itself deserves only 3.5 stars. It's located next to a slaughterhouse so it stinks like cattle manure from late morning til dusk. My ex-unit was outdoors, the first one next to the office, and we once had one fat roach on the wall. I reported it to Gabriel and he took care of it, and reported it to management. No other pests sighted, and they have rat poison every two units or so. The outdoor units are more prone to cobwebs, so if you're going to store and forget, please be aware.
