I cannot say enough positive things about Rodney! from day 1, since he gave me the tour of the place, has always been extremely knowledgeable and helpful which is much appreciated!! He Always has a warming smile while being greeted and just such a sweet, funny, great guy! ALWAYS asks how I'm doing , super easy to talk to, and that goes a long way especially when I know he is genuinely asking because he cares. Final kick in the shins was I vacated 3 weeks early from next months rent with NO REFUND, so they get those weeks FREE. Thanks very little Public Storage, Public BEWARE!

Once I removed my things out of the unit, the items were exactly the same. If you rent a climate controlled unit -- you can only go into your storage unit during their business hours. Award Self Storage offers: a truck to move-in (did not use), along with several boxes and 2nd month rent for FREE! The facility sells boxes and such for typical moving needs. They also have carts inside the storage building to assist with moving items. Overall, this establishment did it's job and I had no issues while there. Also, the staff are nice and helpful when needed. Award Self Storage is 20 mins from Philadelphia which was a major plus!

And when l ask them will the price go up, they said "In 3 to four months we will call you before the price is go up to negotiate the price" And when l asked them how much they will raise the price to, they told me that they can't say and that they will give me a call before the price raises. Well.... They lied. It went from 40 to a $100 real quick. They try to take $98 out without calling me. I call them and they wouldn't pick up. I left a msg and they wouldn't call back. So I cancel it and quickly took my things out of the storage, the same day, before they figure out that l cancel my payment and told my bank to not let them take out. They tried to toss my stuff out. However, the issue with this facility is the way it is constructed. It seems to have previously been a public storage facility, as both the entrance to the facility and some of units have very steep slopes. This makes it impossible to get some modern performance cars (which have low ground clearance) into some of the units without incurring damage. I attempted to get both my BMW M2 and Porsche Boxster into my unit and took damage, and ended up having to cancel my unit. Even getting into the facility was a challenge, as I needed to pull the cars into the entrance very slowly. As the facility is on a busy road, thats not always possible. I had not visited the facility for 2.5 months after signing up and requested a refund (which the owner did not agree to). My own fault for not visiting the facility. But once again, you never expect to find significant ground clearance issues at a collector car storage facility. This facility may work if you have an older collector car with better ground clearance, but i'd look at other facilities if you are trying to store a modern car.

First time was…read morea stress free experience, the two movers were excellent (solely contributing the two stars in this review). Second time was drastically different. This time I used the company for their "full packing services" which was anything but professional and I would never recommend to anyone. Two individuals showed up with their giant moving truck at 3 pm the day before our scheduled move and (as expected) couldn't find parking in the middle of Center City (we were not told ahead of time that they would be bringing a truck). They leave to drop the truck somewhere and return at 6 pm to START packing. Their "professional packing" consisted of haphazardly stuffing things into boxes, including placing liquid filled bottles upside down that ended up leaking through the boxes. The entire time they are packing, the main mover is complaining to us about how little he is paid per hour compared to how much we are paying for the services. It was beyond unprofessional and so uncomfortable, I am just baffled thinking back about it. Unfortunately the same guy showed up the following day for our long distance move across states. The complaining continued through the loading and unloading process, it was extremely uncomfortable and just felt so scummy. We still tipped well and I have a feeling he didn't allocate any of the tip to the other movers as we instructed. For the thousands of dollars we spent on this move, I would rate it zero stars. I would not recommend them to anyone, ESPECIALLY for "packing services". What a joke
