This sad company helped my husband and I move from Ocala to Live Oak. They came in person to give…read moreus a quote. I needed help because I'm handicapped. From the house it was fine. I bought them 75.00 worth of pizza and plenty of water. Once we arrived at our new home, things drastically changed. They were hot and tired and there "quality " went to s***. Many pieces were broken. Mostly antiques. They backed there truck up to me storage garage and literally threw boxes and furniture inside. I didn't see it until the next day. I have texted and emailed many times and they say it was my fault because it was hot and dark. It was not dark, I have pictures. Yes it was hot. They broke my dining room table and handed my husband the pieces. Antique bed is broken also. All the things they were responsible for. They claim to have insurance and they take care of seniors. Yet they refuse to help me. I am filing a civil case against them. By the way they stole my Blackstone griddle. Its what you get when you hire young boys. Do yourself a favor and a headache, don't hire them. Shame on you Seth. Lies all lies. AFTER RESPONCE. First of all by seeing the pictures, it was not dark. My dogs were outside. You knew in advance how far the trip was, you had the addresses. The truck was stuck yes, but soon as it was unloaded they drove away. But why does this give you the right and lack of caring to damage my belongings? The trucks were outside. WHY did you need AC? I did the best I could, and Seth was well informed of this move. I was quoted about two hours for two men to move my fully packed and ready to go one-bedroom apartment just one building over. Instead of using the truck, the movers walked everything over one item at a time, making the move take far longer than it should have. They actually sent three movers, but I only consistently saw two working. The pricing is nowhere near as transparent as the quote makes it seem. I was NEVER clearly told that the 15% fuel surcharge applies to both labor and travel time, even when the truck isn't being used. Chris, their customer service rep defended the "expert" process, offered a $100 credit, and called it a day. A move I expected to cost around $500-$600 ended up costing $910. They get you in the door for a "low intro rate of $89" (depending on the size of the unit). They tell you that it will increase to $105 (example, not exact). I have canceled twice to start the whole process over and over, but I have to move all of my stuff from unit to unit so they can keep doing this same practice. It is exhausting and unscrupulous.
