And also I have never left a review good or bad for any busines in my almost 40 yrs of life. So with that being said. I got this unit do to a domestic violence incident in my home I had to take one load and grab as much as I could, everything else of mine and my 3 children was left behind. This is now all we own. Including our vehicle that I shared with him is all gone. Which means getting to and from our unit has been a struggle all in itself. We finally had time and made ride arrangements since the 100 degre weather made taking the bus just not doable With 3 small kiddos. it's been two months since my kids have set their eyes on the little things that make them smile. When we got there the office door was locked it was well past 1 pm and I was told by the employee that she had just started her lunch and to come back in about 30 mins .. I was ok with the request since there was a store right near by that we could go to and stay cool in. An hour later We came back to the office locked again and noticed her on the golf cart moving fast past the gate ..we called to her but I guess me and my babes weren't loud enough? So in the very hot sun we followed after her and finally caught up, to be told she meet us around the other side. Finally she stopped and took my payment info RIGHT THERE OUTSIDE IN THE 102* temperature ? Didn't offer to take us inside or some cold water .. nothing. At that point I'm still ignoring the strange vibes I'm getting. After the payment I asked if she could get into our unit since my purse was recently stolen. I don't have my keys. And, That was ok, No problem she said she'd meet us at my unit in a just a few mins. Thank goodness my unit was actually in a hall way where it wasnt over 100 anymore but still easily 90 something still not ideal for my kids at all.. So tell me why we sat there for almost 30 mins just waiting.. For her to come back and let me know she can't find the drill I'll have to come back in the morning at 930 when they open?!? might sound simple ... if I owned a car.. So NOw I'm irritated, and upset. And hot the kids are hot.. still no offer to cool off in the office or nothing. By then my phone was dead im sweating and we all have to use the restroom so head back to office once again it's locked we have to ask thru the door to go potty. And this is where Im just super confused. As soon as we walked in her attitude changed and seemed annoyed that we're there. Like she don't want to deal with us. Barely lets me and the kids use the rr. And says something about another customer messed up the bathroom had to call plumber .. ? Ok. And then when it's my turn she says something like I'm not sure what your doing in there but I'm gonna have to ask you to get out of the bathroom .. my kids were standing in the door as I was using the sink/mirror to wash the the SWEAT OFF MY FACE. and do my best to reapply some of the make up I lost in the process. Saying that I need to leave now because I didn't move fast enough and some other very weird comments making me feel super uncomfortable like I'm a crack head (no judgemt To any "crack heads") and I'm trying to take over their bathroom. I was in there a total maybe 6 to 7 minutes, and had the door open with my children for half of it. It's all on camera so I really hope I can find corporates number because the way my children and I were treated was beyond unprofessional it was degrading and embarrassing. Treated with no respect as customers or AS HUMANS IN GENERAL? I was in tears as I had to tell my kids to step back outside in the 100 * weather as we waited for a family member to pick us and empty handed with none of our items we came for. The stress this lady caused was so unnecessary and ugly that here I am actually writing about it. Hoping someone can do something about this ? I pay my bill I mind my business and I work in customer service.. I KNOW THAT THIS WAS VERY WRONG. People like that should not exist in that type of work. Im A human with feelings and I didn't deserve that treatment nor my children ..being decent/kind shouldnt be hard. And I have a lot going on in my life and today this was my tipping point. Im sitting here still very upset. Wondering what I did wrong to be treated as I was . wOrst part is I have to go back to that place some how in the morning and see that person again .. to try and get to our belongings smh.

Updated to say that the manager called me this morning screaming about this review wanting to know…read morewhy and then proceeded to defend my abusive ex husband. This place is so unprofessional they take zero responsibility please do not waate your money. She didn't call to apologize she called to scream about the honest review I left I have screen shots and a recorded call. I'll be releasing them to socials They don't contact you until the bill is due after multiple promises claiming I'd be "contacted by the manager" she calls me once in 30 days and then I get some generic email saying that my stuff had been moved. While waiting on them to return my call and claims that they would call me back once they figured out how to do their job. My abusive ex husband put me in this situation violating 3 different ca civil codes and instead of assisting me or working with me as their potential new client since my property was left there without my permission they decided to maximize their profits. After weeks of being promised that I would get a call from the allegedly "one manager who would know how to go about this" and them not returning my calls and refusing to communicate with me I get an email. I've been given the run around and idk why because my communications with them have only been professional so far yet they still decided to screw me over. This place is a scam and they'll do anything for money. Renting out over priced units and then lying to customers. Every interaction was documented. I'm not okay because they took things from me that I had managed to hold onto for the last 30 years despite all the moves things that can't be replaced and were put there without my permission I can't actually access. I was told I'd be able to access my items but their lack of communication has made that literally impossible as I am 800 miles away. They knew that 30 days ago when we made first contact. That I had no tangible way of getting my property out of there quickly but they chose violence against a girl who is literally just trying to survive. The reason there are laws protecting victims of DV who try to leave is because they often leave their things behind when fleeing. I was unable to safely get my stuff and it wasn't a priority when I left. My safety was. So without my permission it was moved into a storage unit here at this location and then I was promised to be called and emailed for 4 weeks straight where the staff here led me on to believe I'd be getting a call by someone competent enough to transfer to my name so I could either take over that bill or come get my things. Neither one happened because they don't communicate. And they lie. So if you support that kind of deceptive and predatory behavior come on down they'd love to screw you over too

Prior to her being the manager it was ran by her uncle Pete & rest his soul in peace. I wish that Pete was bystill here or I wouldn't have gotten 1 of my units sold illegally. When I called on 7/18/24 at 9:06am I got the outgoing vm from 4th of July that they are closed this date. I didn't leave a message instead I called again &Val answered. I asked if Penny was available? Val told me she was not in the office & would be back in an hour. I let Val know that My banking institution was not running & I would have to make a cash payment in person. I asked Val to let Penny know & to give me a call. An hour went by & I never got a call from Penny. Penny still wasn't back for the entire day. Next day 7/19 Called 9:05am no answer. I called again left vm for Penny to please call me regarding my payment. Penny returned my call at 9:13am to tell me my unit was sold. I asked her Why did she sale my unit? She said because I didn't pay in time & the guy who bought my unit was there yesterday at 10am sharp to pick up his unit. I asked if she received my message from Val? She said by the time she got my message it was too late. I'm upset & feeling violated & betrayed because she has removed my units from the auction list many times before so I could pay. I'm very disappointed & hurt that she also in the past removed items from another one of my units without my knowledge or approval & told me that my things collapsed so she moved my items into a empty unit that I am not paying on or have a key to access my items. Today I went to the above location to do some routine maintenance on my RV as we are planning a camping trip in September. My cousin and I arrived around 5:30pm.  Upon trying to exit the facility around 730 pm I noticed my gate code wasn't opening the gate.  After  entering my gate code multiple times I realized I was locked in. I did not realize the facility closed at 7pm. I've never been at the facility late in the evening, but I own that mistake. After about 20-30 minutes I realized I have Gary, the onsite manager, PERSONAL cell phone number. I see his car parked just outside the gate so Im thinking cool he's here he will let us out.. but NO. I text and called Gary several times and left a voicemail indicating my cousin and I were locked inside the facility and needed to be let out.  The pedestrian exit was chained closed, there was no way to exit the facility, which I would've done had the pedestrian gate been unlocked.  I informed Gary via text that I would need to call Police/Fire to let us out if I didn't hear from him in a timely manner. I ended up having to call 911. The police arrived approximately 20-30 minutes later. As they were pulling into the parking area Gary CASUALLY walks out of the office with his dog and young children.  Gary's response to us, after we have been locked up in the facility for almost an hour was " The signs on the gate say we close at 7pm".  I  say to Gary,  " Dude, I text your personal number multiple times and you couldnt let us out?" His response: " I was off the clock". What?! Then, because the officers are present, he proceeds to use his gate code to open the motorized gate so we could exit facility. ...Wait ,What?!! The officer that I spoke to onsite says "Is that the manager??" I replied "yes!" The officer then says "He's not a very nice guy is he?"  I replied "Apparently not!" This is unacceptable behavior. I was  unable to take my blood pressure medicine as scheduled due to Gary being "Off the clock" and unwilling to open the gate. There's no signage inside the storage facility with an after hours emergency number and the pedestrian gate was locked with a chain. Gary was negligent in his role as site manger. He lives onsite, and when there was an emergency he was "Off the clock" . There are MULTIPLE cameras at this facility pointed directly at the keypad for the gate . Gary knew we were there.  He CHOSE to sit there and WATCH us locked in and NEEDING HIS HELP for an hour and did nothing to help us until the police showed up. Unacceptable. Gary's lack of empathy was appalling. I made an honest mistake. I pay my bill, on time, EVERY month. I will not tolerate being held captive by your staff. I'll be making a formal complaint to Argus as well. Think long and hard before you spend your money at this location.
