My mother and I originally agreed upon using…read moreanother moving company to move her items and a few of my possessions from her home to their storage and then again into her new home. Against my advice, my mother unfortunately fell for sweet words and an enticing lower price and decided to choose this company to move her. Bad idea. Lots of damage to the home she left and damage to her new home. Damage to tons of glass and wood products etc. (If we got it into the house without damaging it, why can' you?) ((keep the towels and wrapping on when moving heavy products through doors)) My review however is not about my mothers experience but my own. One of the movers asked me for drugs. Yep. Asked me for drugs.. Brought this to the attention of the owner and explained the situation to him. Would you believe that he sent the same guy to her new home to deliver and assemble furniture? He did. Every single box of mine was destroyed. I was lucky all I had to move was mostly boxes. My motorcycle had at least two deep scratches and the same for my scooter. Thank god that was it. No idea if she's missing boxes or items yet because they didn't bother with a bill of lading or inventory list. FYI you need one to claim lost or stolen items during move from most insurance carriers. BEWARE. Ironically, she should have gone with "the other moving company"

    I was initially excited to use this company for our move. The owner, Roger explained their process…read moreand ensured me that all of our wood furniture items would be wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap to prevent damage. We also agreed on the number of movers and 1 truck and signed a contract. The day of the move, the owner called and told me that he was sending me 2 trucks and double the movers and sent me a new invoice for several hundred dollars more than the original invoice. When the movers arrived, they were polite and very nice, however they did not wrap all of the furniture in blankets and shrink wrap. After moving all of the furniture into the new home, I saw that many items were damaged. I reached out to the owner and even sent him photos of the damaged items, however I never received a response. By this time, he had already charged my credit card. I was really disappointed with this company and would not recommend. Use someone else.

One positive I failed to note in my original review is that they did provide 45 days of free storage opposed to standard 30 days. For these reasons, I'm increasing my rating from 1 to 3 stars. ___________________ During the sales and scheduling process, Bold Moving was wonderful. They were flexible and accommodating. They even said they would pack and move liquids if they were not "Flammable or combustible items (gasoline, kerosene, propane, etc.). Everything changed once they showed up. The packers were very nice but told us they could not pack any liquids. When I followed up with the salesperson they responded, "I thought it was only flammable liquids, but you could pack non flammables in a plastic bin not in cardboard boxes in case it leaks." The real challenge started when scheduling the delivery of our items after they were in storage for about 6 weeks. I emailed two weeks in advance asking for a specific delivery date. It was accepted as the first available delivery date, and I was told they would call the day before to confirm the delivery time. When I didn't receive that call, I followed up with them first via email then via phone. I was told they would put our stuff on a truck, and it would be delivered "sometime early next week" which was about 5 days later. It was clear they would not make the date requested but no one reached out to tell us. This was extremely frustrating since I had a business trip the following week. I followed up daily but could not get a confirmed delivery date. I canceled my business trip on a Monday when someone told me they would going to try and deliver our items that week. He was very clear that he would contact me when there was an update. Therefore, I stopped following up. On Wednesday, I received a phone call from the driver. They were 20 minutes away from the empty house I was not at. Due to the lack of communication in the delivery process, everything felt like a fire drill. I lost money on the business trip that had to be rescheduled and incurred additional costs extending our temporary housing. But, I was relieved to finally have our things. The delivery team was also nice, but many items were broken. The leg on one of our dressers was broken. They blamed the packers because the dresser was just wrapped with all the original items inside making it heavier. Some dressers were emptied but some were still full. I could here the contents of our nightstands rattling around inside. Although wardrobe boxes were used, none of our clothes were hung up - just thrown in the box with the hangers on them. Kitchen items were just thrown in boxes. Some of boxes weren't even properly labeled - just "K" for kitchen. Lastly, the delivery team left scuff marks all over the walls with deep dings in some places on the wall. This was my worst moving experience ever. I would never recommend Bold Moving & Storage.

After yet another text from them, I replied with "stop", assuming it was an automated system. Got a snarky emoji back. Very glad I didn't trust these guys with anything important.

The owner said 5-7 days and then said truck broke down and had to wait for another truck. We had an air tag in our luggage that showed it was in storage the whole time. She lied the whole time, added money to our bill every time we talked to her and when truck finally arrived, driver confirmed where and when he picked the truck up, in New Jersey. Drivers were great, owner and dispatcher are dishonest, unprofessional, and would not let driver unload until we paid him in cash. After truck was unloaded we noticed the company kept half of our belongings including furniture and personal items. When driver told the owner she said "she didn't give a shit!" hung up and would not answer our calls. Read all the reviews! She has a D rating with the BBB.

I know that they tipped them well cause I asked after the situation happened, they were pretty generous in which they always are when tipping. Very sweet older couple. About an hour later the woman that owns the business told my mother in law that the tip well 2 tips because it was 2 workers wasn't enough they needed to send more it was unacceptable. I was so shocked when I heard that.that was the most unprofessional thing I ve come across in a long time. So they paid for the services and then gave 2 generous tips and that's what she calls to say not a thank you she wasn't happy with her workers tips. Being the sweet people that they are they sent another check. I wish I had been there to answer the phone that day. We have not used their services again and nor will we ever.I do not recommend this company.I felt like they took advantage. I wonder how many times she has done that?
