The management did NOT inform me about this - I found out because I just happened to stop by my unit. Consequently a significant amount of my possessions have been ruined by mildew and mold (see photos). I am furious that I was not informed about the leaks. The management attitude has been "We can move you to another unit of the same size at the same price" (it turned out that the unit I was moved to is 28% {yes - TWENTY EIGHT PERCENT} smaller than my damp unit) and that was the entire extent of the help and compensation I received. They even tried to dodge responsibility by blaming the construction company. UPDATE: The humidity level on the first floor of the building is also too high! It's averaging 62% when it should be closer to 40%.

This company cannot be trusted. They will increase your rent by 29% at a time and will not reward…read morecustomer loyalty. 29% increase is egregious price gouging! Public Storage's idea of customer retainment is the opposite of just all businesses in existence! They will keep increasing your rent despite the fact that it will reach a point where they charge more than double of what any of their competitors charge. Now they want to charge me $525 for a 10x10 unit when I can go get a 10x20 unit from several of their competitors for half of the price. And I can get a 10x10 elsewhere for less than $190 if I wanted to get another 10x10 unit. If you already rent from them, make sure to not use automatic payments because they are relying on customers that don't pay attention. This is not ok and it most definitely IS price gouging! I've paid them around $30,000 so far since I've been a customer and they don't seem to value the approx $5,000 that I've paid them every year! Loyal customers are of no value to Public Storage! You can save thousands of dollars a year by going to one of their competitors and the fact of the matter is that Public Storage does not offer anything that their competitors don't. In fact, some of their competitors do more than just charge half the price of Public Storage. Some of these same half priced units are even climate controlled, when Public Storage isn't climate controlled at their price gouging prices. Climate controlled 10x10 units at their competitors for less than $200! Every single competitor in the area costs less than half of what Public Storage costs! Be wise with your money! There are plenty of options and, unfortunately , Public Storage, does not seem to value loyal customers! You will find more value elsewhere! I guarantee it!

Rebecca walked me through everything over the phone in a way that was clear, thorough, and never overwhelming. Ella was amazing in person--super friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel welcoming instead of transactional. You can tell they both really know what they're doing and actually care. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, climate-controlled (which I love), and feels very secure, which was a big priority for me. No weird storage-unit vibes. Super organized and well taken care of. I haven't moved in yet, but based on how smooth and thoughtful this whole experience has been so far, I feel really confident that move-in day will be just as seamless. I found a slightly larger locker at Public Storage, just around the corner, for $15 per month. Granted that is an introductory rate, but even if they double it after the introductory period, we will be at $30, which is still less than half price! On top of that, they never answer their phones for existing customers. I had to call as a new customer to finally get ahold of them. Bad service bad pricing! I don't recommend them!

Not only was I screamed at by one of the staff members (who clearly gets off on power-tripping), but they also locked me out of my fully paid unit with no notice whatsoever. I showed up to move my belongings and found the code had been changed. No call, no email--just locked out of my own property. Let's be clear: I paid for that unit. I don't care if all I had in there was a cotton ball--it was mine. And someone else was given access or it was reassigned without my permission. Completely unethical. Access is granted at random times, nothing is consistent, and it's definitely not what's advertised. This person picks and chooses who gets in and when. It's unprofessional, sketchy, and flat-out disrespectful. And the fact that U-Haul as a franchise allows smucks like this to represent their brand? Honestly pathetic. It's a terrible look and bad for business. I will never rent a U-Haul truck or storage unit again. I'd rather lick a doorknob at a COVID motel than give this company another dime. Save yourself the headache. Go anywhere else
