Exceptional option for storage. Very clean and easy to establish a relationship. Stevie was amazing and I got in/up/out like a dream!

It was slow, but visible and important groundwork! One of the Points we were looking for would be a better solution for the masses of incoming (and outgoing) mail/deliveries. We have been with other warehouses outside the USA before and they always had some kind of mail room. Well now we jump into late 2023 and the beginning of 2024 and we have a new manager and DAWN has taken on the challenges with Lightspeed. Not only has she managed a new system for incoming mail and deliveries but she changed it already when she learned it was not as successful as planned (still better than ever before). Dawn just does not drop things on us and say "live with it" but is constantly checking if it can be better. After the Mail Solution was implemented she started with something that bothered me all the time - we have up to 50 different companies in this facility alone. But we do not ever have some come together to learn what others do and how we might even benefit from each other to grow together. Our new manager implemented not only a communication platform to talk to each other but also a community come together with the other companies in the building - at least once a month with some community-building themes (cookie day for Valentine as an example). Not only is it great to see who else is using the building and learn what could be achieved together but it's also nice to have a break from work even for 20 min and have a small talk. That said - it also comes to mind that Dawn is always around in the building checking on things she might need to do. She is not one manager sitting in her office and waiting for people to come in but is proactively going to issues or just delivering a smile when Portland is on a rainy day. Great Job - I can't wait what you come up with next but the work already done deserves at least 5 stars!

Note: The U Store Self-Storage @ 2860 NW 29th Avenue, Portland, OR. All my belongings looked like it were in a run-down 2nd hand store, when my belongings were pristine when placed in the storage "bin/crate" (their word used today to describe their storage units). After entering, looking over my belongings I quickly noticed a hole had been nibbled in my expensive sofa-bed. Within moment one of the two men on duty walked by and I communicated this information to him, his response was, "These are locked up tight, nothing can get in." As I surveyed the rest of my belongings the layers of dust covered everything. It was so thick; I could hardly recognize my own belongings. When I left to check out, I noted these two grievances on the sign-in sheet to mark the date, 8-2-2013, as the date of my complaint and asked for a copy (with the name of the other renter's name redacted so I could have evidence of my complaint). Scott, the man attending said he could not do that, he would have to talk to the manager. So, I took the next "blank sign-in sheet" and documented the information for myself with time-in and time-out. Additionally, when I complained about the dust, Scott said, "It's a crate, "anything" can get in." ~~~~ So, on the one hand, as per his two statements: "These are locked up tight, nothing can get in," when it regarded the mice, and, "It's a crate, "anything" can get in," when it concerned the layers of dust. ~~~~ Wow! These employees must go to "excuse school" and practice until they have the lingo down pat: "no accountability, no responsibility." ~~~~ For me, this is NOT THE END OF THE MATTER. IT WOULD BE VERY WISE OF THE OWNER/MANAGER TO CALL ME (he has my number)--and, at the very least, replace my sofa-bed couch. This indifference to the effect their units have a patron's contents is beyond irresponsible and their indifferent attitude is inexcusable. My advice to anyone thinking to rent storage at this business is to go else-where or make sure what you store has absolutely no value to you at all. "It's a crate, "anything" can get in." ~~~~ So, on the one hand, as per his two statements: "These are locked up tight, nothing can get in," when it regarded the mice, and, "It's a crate, "anything" can get in," when it concerned the layers of dust. ~~~~ Wow! Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

All Service Moving did a great job. However, I was pushed…read moreinto signing a release of liability half way through. The rep said turning it sideways to get it thought the door was a special event somehow and that I would have to sign some papers. Seriously, I'm paying $700 to move a 350 pound object from the parking lot into my apartment. All Service Moving should bake the liability into the cost. If they drop it and I can't fix it, I'm willing to eat the $3k to buy a new one but they should at least agree to haul the old one away and move in the next one for free.
