The place is clean and is a convenient location for me. However, I would not go to the facility after dark as I have spotted individuals walking around the facility in the evening. In the early morning I have spotted individuals leaving the property through a opening in the rear fence. I did not feel threatened by these individuals but before visiting the facility I do think about the time of day and if I have valuables in the vehicle. I have not stopped by in the past few months so this issue may have changed. I was warned about possible price increases so I prepaid my rent for the entire year to lock in the rates. When I discussed the lease, I requested no insurance because the items that I am storing have minimal value and are covered by my insurance policy. This was not an option according to the staff. I was required to pay $10 per month in insurance for coverage that I did not want nor need. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. This is the first time that I have used public storage so I can't provide a comparison with competitors. read more

I was a bit wary about placing my things in a storage...so I made a visit to the Extra Space Storage on Lee Rd. They were great. I was shown two different units so that i can decide what was appropriate for me. The lady was Courteous and very patient. The place is clean and not to mention save for the price and location. The manager greated me on my first day and walked me to my unit. It is large, clean and easy to get to through the spacious elevator. Th also Have these dollies that are VERY useful, I didnt have to carry anything. I would recommend this storage 100%. read more

If you are making a decision based on price, beware that they publish lower rates than their competitors but once you go through the hassle of moving everything in, they raise the rates right away! Two months after moving in! Not happy! Thank you Viviana, but I never mentioned that I expected my rate to stay the same for the life of my rental (I'm not sure how you arrived at this conclusion). The point here is that the rate was increased only 2 months after I moved in. The correct thing was to notify me at the time I signed my lease, that the new rate increase was coming in a couple of months. read more

Wait right up until the time you need your storage unit to reserve a unit at Extra Space. They called me several times beforehand to "just check in" and make sure I was still coming on the day I reserved for...and then called a couple times after I moved my things in to get feedback. Calling one time would be great customer service - anything more than that is excessive and annoying. As a facility, it's nice and seems clean and secure. However, it's a pain if you're moving a lot of furniture or items into storage. They have one unloading area in their small parking lot, and if there are multiple people moving in, it gets very busy. They only have a handful of carts available to help move your belongings with. Also, it is inconvenient because each time you enter the storage area near the unloading dock, you have to enter in the 8 digit code to get in the building...then enter it again 10 feet away to get on the elevator. When you're moving a bunch of furniture and stuff, that is super inconvenient. (Side note: I am from out of state, and that was the first time viewing the property...otherwise I would have noticed the inconvenient layout before reserving.) Lastly, they require you to have renters insurance. When I called to reserve the unit, I specifically asked about this, and they said it wasn't required. But upon getting there and doing the paperwork, they notified me it was required...and it's actually quite expensive. read more

I really like this place. It's clean. It doesn't stink. The two ladies I have been working with to get the right storage unit for me have been more than fantastic. Pleasant. Smiles. It has just been a week so this is all I have to go on but so far fantastic. I'm on the fourth floor and use an elevator but I like that. They have four carts to use. The lock price is reasonable. I have used three other storage facilities in the past and I am more than delighted with this company so far. read more
