Just showed up. Did this twice, then sent items to this team in Orlando, who FINALLY got these items delivered swiftly and efficiently! On October 14th, around 530pm. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are hucksters and liars. They promise a flat rate but their men refused to load the truck until I paid all three of them $50 each. Otherwise they said they would charge me another $300 since they claimed I was over what I said I needed moving. I tried to call the company but no one answered. Well I was fine with you up until two days ago when I got an email saying that my delivery is now scheduled for two daysAFTER the last day I would be waiting for the delivery. I had a five day window which I laid extra for with signing the contract. I was promised five day so I booked all my flights accordingly. I needed the time to unpack and set up my rental property. I need to get back to other work. I was upset, so I called your office. I got Stephanie who was so nasty she is in a category of people all herself. She hung up on me three times. When I called back upset she just left me on hold forever. When I called back yet again she told me she transferred me and it's not her problem that nobody picks up. This is her job! I said I need to talk to someone and she refused telling me that at 4 pm nobody is there. Nobody called me back even the next day. All I got was an email saying we're sorry. Flate Rate has done it again! I had to move my mom back to Miami and I was happy to learn that they had recently opened a branch in Orlando. No surprises here, they are so smooth, extremely professional and fast even going to the extent of asking me where i would like the furniture at her new apartment. DO NOT USE! I moved from Florida to California, not only did I move mid June and didnt get my things til September 10th but the customer service from the shipping manager is a joke! My black dresser has knocks and cracks! Will was as attentive as he could but the manager "was too busy" to speak to me or return any calls. i reached out to customer service and NO response back! im still trying to get in contact with them til this day. They thought $400 was compensation for all the hassle and crud i dealt with not having my things, paying bills for an empty house and dealing with their company in whole. theyve been a company for 30 years and honestly, i don't know how they stay afloat with all their lies and broken promises. With the economy these days, i had some patience but no, i would have gotten better service going with someone else! FL to CA but didnt have drivers going that way which is why it was delayed? Shouldnt they have taken that into consideration prior to accepting my request or at least mentioning that ? I would have went with a different company, it's not like I changed my destination last minute?!! Sloppy work. Being in importing and exporting role before, this is absolutely despicable. I've had plenty of people moving across country and asked about the company I used, safe to say that they definitely went a different route! Maybe negative reviews will get them to contact me back if they care about their legacy but then again, don't think they care about their company image that much given the reviews I read and my personal experience. I am a frequent mover so I have extensive experience with moving companies. If you are struggling to select a moving company and discovered (like I did) they all have reviews that make you doubtful or indecisive, I would not recommend flat-rate!. It's a realistic expectation to receive your property with a scratch or a ding. Most people who are frequent movers have unwillingly accepted that fate however flat-rate will literally hand your property to you in pieces (I have pictures of them doing so). Flat-rate has returned my office desk in pieces. They pretty much tell you they are sorry and to sign on the dotted line to acknowledge receipt. My headboard was damaged and NO, not a ding or a scratch, it's clear that it was dropped. Although my headboard is functional it's just not a beautiful piece of furniture anymore. It gets worse people! After all is said and done, I received two tv's without tv mounts which needed to be located and shipped at a later date (almost two weeks out). If you are willing to have movers take 8 hours to load a truck, I mean this with no exaggeration, 8 hours to disassemble furniture in a two bedroom apartment then flat-rate is your company. Overall my best was economy movers for anyone moving locally in the Hudson valley area and imperial movers are really good companies (atleast damage free). Also, if you have the perception you pay more for quality, it's not the case for flat-rate, please pay attention to the reviews. They frequently damage their customers property. Their employees are careless and lack proper training not to mention did not carry the necessary supplies to do the job. They did not have the proper boxes. Flat-rate employees decided to makeshift a box for my tv's which made my family very nervous. I am an easy-going person however flat-rate company should flat-line because it's just despicable how they conduct their business. I am currently in a claims process with flat-rate and I guarantee that will be a disappointment. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! read more
