Choose This Company over Public Storage!!! Extra Space Storage and particulary this Monrovia location is an EXCELLENT company. I am just a regular client that enjoyed over a year using this facility and I moved to Pasadena, and have had a HORRIBLE experience with Public Storage. They have horrible reviews online for a reason!!! I wish I had just made the trip back and forth to Monrovia. A Public Storage, the rates are ridiculous and go up throughout your stay without notice. There are 2 locations in Pasadena, and although the Arroyo Parkway location has nice employees, the other Pasadena location has a horrible and rude female manager. She calls if you get behind on payments and she is beyond Smug and rude! SO HORRIBLE, that I have called the Corporate office and told them what an awful representative she is for their company. They don't care! Even worse, their prices have gone up twice in two years and are outrageous. I wish I had paid attention to the reviews before going there. They can manipulate them anyway! Again, Fernando is wonderful there, and the managers have been nice, but the price just keeps going up every few months. And when you make a payment online, they are not including the total amount and cause you to immediately get charged literally hundreds of dollars more with additional fees. This NEVER HAPPENED at Extra Space Storage! Save yourself the nightmare of P.Storage and use this company! read more

They raise rent every few months. Paying over 450 per month for a unit at this point. People seem to also be living in some units. Feels unsafe at times. read more

This place thinks not turning AIR ON is the area to cut costs?!?! WRONG!! It's hellishly awful and despite raising this concern EVERY time I go there, nothing is ever done about it. Not only is it miserably, unbearably hot, there is no air flow, so I feel like I'm going to pass out each time I step out of the elevator. How dare them advertise this place as climate-controlled!! My toiletries are melted and sticky, so I paid to have my stuff ruined. It is far worse than any other storage facility I have ever been to in regards to the temp/lack of air. I have to full on wash my hair after stopping by just to get something out of my space, due to sweating so profusely. Additionally, they also have elevator issues, and send no notice out whatsoever. So ya drive over there and show up to find you cannot even access your fourth floor space. Closing my account and taking my business somewhere that actually cares about the comfort of their paying customers. read more

These guys (and gals) are just great! Attentive and friendly. Storage units are clean and secure. Climate controlled. Plenty of carts to use for moving heavy or bulky items easily. Unit prices are competitive. Driveway looks a little scary at first, but I was able to pull in a 26' rental truck with no problem. I would highly recommend checking them out. read more

Was pleasantly surprised that an Extra Space storage had opened in my neighbourhood. Had a lovely chat with Vicky, who answered all of my questions about available units and pricing. She also demonstrated all of the security measures in place and the easy accessibility to the units. We were impressed with everything and leased a unit on the spot. The elevator has been out for a week and will not be repaired for another half a week at the earliest. I had to carry an entire extended cargo van worth of items up three floors of stairs last week. And a week on, they still have not had the courtesy to notify any of their customers by email. Unless you call, you'll just show up at the facility with your stuff and have no way to actually get to your unit, except through an emergency stairwell. All of this could be resolved by taking 30 seconds to send a notification out, like any other properly run facility. Staff is super rude and unapologetic when you call in. Facility is also super sketchy with a bunch of clearly homeless people camped out in the parking lot and around the bathrooms inside the building. Regret moving my stuff here. After only a week, I'm strongly considering moving back out of this place. read more

All I can say is Kiana...Kiana and more Kiana. First off I have never seen a person at really any job that takes your needs above and beyond to the point where it brings tears to your eyes. A lot of people sadly do not enjoy where they work and you can just feel the passion and care Kiana has when she helps you. I did not tell her this but after she went above and beyond to make me feel heard when I spoke with her about a concern she addressed it right away and didn't even let a second slip by before she sprung into action. She responded so fast to the point I didn't even have my concerns anymore. I actually did shed some tears because she speaks with you so gentle and makes you feel valued at a customer. Lastly I know for sure any co-workers Kiana has they must love working with her, because of how her spirit is when she speaks with you. I literally would not mind working there if I had a co worker like her because she makes everyone feel like they matter and that no issue or problem is to big to over come. I would like to thank Extra space storage for hiring such a beautiful soul like Kiana. I do not know her personally at all and met her for the first time yesterday but I had to take time out to type this now because so many place I have been where employees are mean and disrespectful and get attitudes with you because they are miserable where they are working. So thank you to Extra Space for having a beautiful employee as her and Kiana thank you for going above and beyond. I even watched her speak and help other customers and she is equally as kind to all of us and that is truly remarkable. She deserves anything she desires within this company because it is rare that you come by employees like this . read more

Arriving to the storage late after office hours their customer service contact was available and very helpful. The unit was so clean and accessible. I came across an issue where my log in wasn't working for me. But the contact number was available and had patience to walk me through and get me in. What can I say? All I can say is that Vicky was amazing. She was very patient with me. I was coming in and out of town and she was available to discuss my options via telephone as well as the internet. She greeted me with a smile and she knows exactly what she needs to know about storage units!!
