Do not under any circumstances leave your belongings here unless you couldn't care less about them!!!!! We had our belongings for our first home stored here for less then a year and this (photos below) are what we returned to. When I tell you this was a complete infestation of rodents, not one or two who crept in. Obviously pests can infiltrate these spaces but this is an extreme case - clearly showing negligence by the management to keep up with control and protect people's belongings. Whatever they claim their policy on pest control to be, let this be a warning that they are likely doing the bare minimum at this facility. We had mostly unopened gifts from our wedding registry and furniture stored here and all of the furniture was destroyed. We had our mattresses and rug in protected bags but they were destroyed regardless. Our couch, rugs, mattresses, desk, all covered in urine and feces. No compensation for the thousands of dollars we lost in furniture and monthly payments. We were told that the only way we would have received compensation if we had paid even more monthly for the insurance coverage. Regardless whatever we would have received in compensation would have been less then if we had just thrown our items away in the move rather than store them at this facility. To top it off- three days after we discovered this disaster we received a letter that they were raising the price of the unit. Even more money monthly to have our belongings completely ruined! We spent the day sanitizing whatever we could salvage and moving our belongings to a more trusted facility (and cheaper). I suggest you research and save yourself the headache by going with another facility. read more

I find it strange that Mike wouldn't let me leave the facility until I posted a google review. He requested that I call when I took the lock out of the storage unit. During the phone call, he told me not to exit the property until I "signed out of the system". I don't think someone should lie and try to con someone into posting a 5 star review with my unit number on it. He claimed that it'd be taken down after I sent it, and it was an electronic signature. You'll notice that he's still doing this daily, and extra space has done nothing about it. read more

Lynn the manager is a sweetheart. She is very helpful and professional. I've stayed with this location only because it's convenient and also, because staff is helpful. However, my comment is towards the company in general. Pricing is just a joke! Your storage space does not increase or expand 5 ft every 3 to 6 months, so why do you increase your prices? Here's an idea!...Value your customers and stop increasing your prices! Another comment is, if we need to show proof of insurance for our valuables/unit, then what business is it of yours HOW we secure our belongings? Enforcing new locks on the units that can only be purchased through Extra Space is called exploiting the customers! read more

I was very pleased by the level of courtesy and efficiency shown by Lynn, Deb, and Juan, who was filling it at the desk when I leased my storage unit. In fact, I even applied to the company because the level of customer service was that high. The only thing that kept that fifth star off was that the company Web site didn't have the offers (e.g., a free first month) and they also claimed the company developers were working on the site in the middle of the day. If true, that's not good for business. read more

The Extra Space Storage located in Monmouth Junction NJ is by far the Best storage facility that I have ever utilized. This facility is extremely clean and well organized. Lynn the store Manager is one of the main reasons why this facility is run so well and the customer service is at an extremely high level. Lynn goes out of her way above and beyond her normal duties to ensure customer satisfaction. She also made it very convienent for me to leave on short notice when I was moving out of state. This facility always has a pelter of moving supplies on site. I totally recommend this facility to anyone considering storing your valuables in this area. read more

A few weeks before I needed space, I called around my area and nothing else was available, so I booked an unheated and frankly questionable-looking space in a competitor's facility. On my way home I stopped in to Extra Space Storage just to see if anything had opened up since I had called previously, and to my delight they had a large space that opened up the day before - dry, secure, and climate controlled. The young man who helped me, Mr. Williams, was head and shoulders above the level of professionalism of the competitor's agent, and I felt comfortable dealing with him.
