I moved into Public Storage in April 2025, and from day one it was a bad experience. When I first…read moremoved in, I noticed a hole on the outside of my unit and asked them to fix it so vermin couldn't get inside. Months went by, and despite multiple follow-ups, the repair was never completed. Each time I checked back, I was told a work order was in, or that a contractor hadn't shown up, or that they needed one of my keys to get inside. Still, nothing was done. After nearly five months of waiting, I finally asked the manager to either fix it immediately or move me to another unit. The manager agreed, but when I went to the office, I was told I would have to pay to move my things to a different unit. I refused--why should I pay when the only reason I needed to move was because they never fixed the original unit? They suggested I pay upfront and then "request a credit" on my next bill, which made no sense. At that point, I decided to move my belongings out entirely. The only part of this process that went smoothly was moving out. Bernice, the staff member who helped me, was polite and understanding, but even she acknowledged why I was frustrated. To make matters worse, the unit itself was dirty from the beginning--covered in spider webs, bugs, and just generally unpleasant. This was my first time using outdoor storage, and I will never use Public Storage again. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and terrible customer service made this a stressful and disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for storage.

We had our belongings for our first home stored here for less then a year and this (photos below) are what we returned to. When I tell you this was a complete infestation of rodents, not one or two who crept in. Obviously pests can infiltrate these spaces but this is an extreme case - clearly showing negligence by the management to keep up with control and protect people's belongings. Whatever they claim their policy on pest control to be, let this be a warning that they are likely doing the bare minimum at this facility. We had mostly unopened gifts from our wedding registry and furniture stored here and all of the furniture was destroyed. We had our mattresses and rug in protected bags but they were destroyed regardless. Our couch, rugs, mattresses, desk, all covered in urine and feces. No compensation for the thousands of dollars we lost in furniture and monthly payments. We were told that the only way we would have received compensation if we had paid even more monthly for the insurance coverage. Regardless whatever we would have received in compensation would have been less then if we had just thrown our items away in the move rather than store them at this facility. To top it off- three days after we discovered this disaster we received a letter that they were raising the price of the unit. Even more money monthly to have our belongings completely ruined! We spent the day sanitizing whatever we could salvage and moving our belongings to a more trusted facility (and cheaper). I suggest you research and save yourself the headache by going with another facility.

The price was fair and Mitch was very helpful during the whole process. The movers that I had, Esau, Thomas, and Shawn were all incredibly friendly and efficient. In fact, they were the same guys my mother had for her move only 7 months prior! These guys got to my original location early and were careful, as well as intelligent, instead of being the stereotypical yes men that I have seen movers be in the past. For 6 hours of work (the travel time to Brooklyn was the biggest part of the move), everything I packed survived the move. They even put my mother's bed back together prior to them leaving for Brooklyn. That was very nice of them. I cannot speak highly enough of this storage facility. I had to scramble at the last minute to…read morefind a unit the same day and Maurice was extremely helpful and accommodating. When I arrived at the facility it was closed but I had no problem accessing my storage unit. It could not possibly have been any easier to load my items (backed the UHaul right up to a garage, loaded everything onto the provided carts, fit all of my belongings in the elevator in one trip, and easily loaded into the storage room). This place is great! My only concern is that renters can access the facility after hours, so the security of my belongings is dependent on trusting the other renters. If someone else comes in after hours and doesn't properly lock up (doesn't lock the garage, for instance), the security of everyone's belongings is compromised. I wish there was a way to address this because it is a bit concerning (perhaps auto-locking garages that close and lock after a set amount of time?). Aside from that, everything was great! Highly recommended!

Having moved around a good bit over the past decade, I can say the losses have been more frequent…read morethan the wins. Working with Victory was truly a win, as they helped me with multiple international and corporate moves while providing excellent service and communication (#1) the whole way. They were a full service moving company, which meant they helped with the packing process in addition to moving my things. They were punctual for my appointments and brought more packing materials (tape, cardboard, stuffing, etc.) than I really needed it. The fact they also specialize in packing fine art and antiques, I can completely understand why my things were treated with such care. They did an outstanding job in sealing everything off and were incredibly organized all around. While I didn't have much to move (#2), the entire process from start to finish was a breeze. Corporate moves and international relocation means that this is not going to be that affordable as a service. I would elect to use them every time if I could, but alas, their service is among the best I've experienced over the years. Sometimes the anxiety and stress of moving is mitigated by a company that knows what they're doing. They're truly winning in the game of moving. ___________ (#1) This is key, especially when it comes to moving. (#2) Pro tip. Don't have a lot of stuff. Life will love you for it.
