Just used these guys to help move me into my new apartment: A+…read more The mover I had scheduled for today bailed on me last minute, literally cancelled at 9pm last night, reached out to a few people that had good ratings on Yelp and these guys came through big time! Last minute booking, the guy called me 3 minutes after j messaged him. Asked me about the job, set a time, gave me a VERY reasonable price and no other nonsense They met me at my apartment in Bay Ridge, 3 guys with 2 cargo vans. The 3 guys that came were all nice guys, worked hard, no complaints no wasting time. Got the job done in the time I had hoped and didn't try to throw in any extra fees or BS. None of my stuff was broken, missing, or f'ed up in any way. Great service. Would 100% recommend them to family or a close friend for move. Good job !

So the first time I used this company we had no problems. Not one but this time around I'm really…read moreunhappy with the professionalism. First off I was extremely clear to the company as to what was needed and when it came time to send pictures of the items, it was a surprise to them that I needed an additional room moved. Again I was clear in my email to the owner so when he gave me his pricing I was extremely happy. No need to look elsewhere. Right? He straight out played me. Hit me with an additional $200 charge with no time to look elsewhere. Then when we went back and forth and I resent the email I originally sent him when we were discussing pricing, he tried to justify his mistake because his "answer" specifically said "stop" and not additional room. You're a scammer who made a mistake and left me no choice to choose you because I couldn't get another moving company in a days notice. Oh and to top it off an hour late without notice. Had to contact them.

After I uploaded my photos and answered a few questions, I received a fair estimate. With the estimate, I was encouraged to use NYC curbside pick-up. They pointed me to the NYC website and reminded me that bulk pick-up was available. They also said they would be happy to pick up my items at the quoted price, but they thought it was best (for me) to just put the items on the curb. I put said items on the curb and bookmarked Crappola for future use. I will tell friends to use them because they are honest and have fair prices. Crappola, thanks again for your help, and I am sure I will need your services in the future. Very happy customer-ish.

Are you tired of customer support just being an argument?…read more When did it become the job of customer service to tell customers what they can't do and not offer a solution?! I don't know about you, but I am so sick of companies that think putting someone on the other end of the phone, in a position of negative combat, is offering customer service. That is what you get from Interstate Waste, formerly Grand Sanitation. Not to mention their high prices! I put old, dried up, water-based paint cans in my trash. They are as solid as a rock. I did this because if you do a search on Google and ask how to dispose of them in NJ, this is the answer you get. I also called customer service years ago, back when they were Grand Sanitation, and that is what I was told to do. This morning my trash was not picked up by Interstate Waste, formerly Grand Sanitation. I called customer support. The Interstate Waste, formerly Grand Sanitation employee kept saying, "No!" "You can't put paint cans in your trash, only trash bags." Her only approach was combative. Instead of saying, "I'm sorry this happened. Unfortunately, we don't allow paint cans in the trash bin, BUT you can do X, Y, or Z. Can I set that up for you? All she did was say, "No! You can only put trash bags in your can." If she did not have the answer for what to do, she could have said, "let me find out how we can address this situation and I'll get back to you." I think our country has gone off the rails when it comes to customer service. We either get someone from another country who follows a script and does not deviate from it and inevitably does not resolve the problem, or we get someone who is combative. When we get actual customer service, we are so grateful that we don't know what to do with ourselves. So, if you have another choice besides Interstate Waste, formerly Grand Sanitation, I would recommend that you try any other company. XXXXXXX - Update - XXXXXXX Grand Sanitation responded with an attitude saying "The beauty of your review is that its for a company that no longer exists. It's not going to change anyone's mind! If you share with me your address I'll try to get your paint cans picked up." I state very clearly that Grand Sanitation is the former company that is now Interstate Waste. After giving attitude, they say what they should have said all along, "If you share with me your address I'll try to get your paint cans picked up." BUT share my address???? How do you do that privately if they do not allow contact through Yelp???? I think that companies are screwing us all every chance they get and we need to fight back.
