Many boxes were ripped , some pieces of furniture/bulky items were damaged or broken. And one of the door frames of the new home had a large chunk of wood taken out , i imagine from a piece of furniture moving in. We had boxes clearly labeled with what room to be placed in, and many ended up in the wrong rooms. Same applied to the furniture. I appreciated them being able to move a piano (extra cost, but still! Not everyone does it.) and I appreciated them being able to accommodate the moving time shift, however the price significantly jumped from the initial estimate when we had pushed the time from late morning to afternoon. They started off as the cheapest estimate we got, out of 5 estimates, but ended up being the second highest cost. We would have booked with a more reputable company if I had known the price would jump so high. (It was a few thousand dollar jump.)

The scheduling went smoothly and we sent photos of the items beforehand, as to what was to be moved. Corey came with a helper. Corey is Jesse McDonald's brother and Jesse is the owner of the company (I'm explaining this for a reason). Everything was going smoothly until we got to the treadmill (and Jesse got involved!). They moved my Proforma treadmill up two flights of stairs (as it was still in one piece). We have video and photos from many angles around the property that shows the treadmill was not broken while it was being moved. They get it up 2 flights of stairs and took it apart to get it into the room. I asked Corey a few times if he had experience taking apart treadmills, and he said he did. When they got into the room, they dropped it. I didn't think much of it because it's a steel treadmill. I go into the room behind them and they looked confused. Corey told me the wire was too short and it broke and then part of the frame broke. They were very upset about it. Corey told me not to worry and he would call his brother, and they will take care of it. They never called so we left a message on Nov 2. Jesse called us Nov 3 saying they will fix the treadmill but we need to pay for that as well as pay for what they had moved! I was stunned. I sent them an email asking them when they can have it fixed as per Jesse and no response. On Nov 3, Jesse said there's no way they broke it. I guess he didn't see the videos and pictures. He told my husband he wasn't going to let this hurt his business of 20 years. The thing is, when you have a moving company (or any company), things happen, but you take responsibility for it. You don't blame the homeowner and ignore them. They broke the treadmill and left it in pieces all over the room. Terrible customer service.

He says he'll haul it all away for $300 plus tax. That sounded okay for that much furniture. I subsequently decided to donate all of the first floor furniture to Habitat for Humanity; texted Andrew and asked for a re-quote since it was now only 3 beds and one small cabinet to haul away. After no response for 48 hours, I called his office and his assistant said she'll remind him to respond. I think I heard from him a day or so later. I texted him a couple photos. Price is still $300. I asked how the price can be the same when he has very few things to haul. No response. He has zero personality/customer service skills and should not be in sales.
