We scheduled a time slot online 2 days in advance (2 to 4 pm). The following day they requested to move the time slot to 12 to 2 which was fine. On the day they were supposed to come they called around 1 pm to say they were running late. Ended up showing up after 4. They did a good job on the stuff we requested they move. And what an awesome name lol They have a great "legit" looking website with automation of reserving and booking. I usually don't like making phone calls but since I've not used a service like this I thought I would call. I left a message and got a return call within 20 min. Got a decent quote....I mean essentially you are paying someone to junk your stuff so no matter how you look at it's expensive ;) 2 guys came earlier than the time specified. Awesome! Professional, friendly and clean! They moved all the furniture from garage and from our third floor without scratching walls. They even swept our garage! Unfortunately the basement where they were removing items from has a rat infestation and they were not safely able to remove everything I had wanted removed. I saw the company Junkahaulics online, noted a block of time for 3:30-5:PM the same day and reserved it. The junk removal process was new to me, decided to call as the online system did not provide any type of acknowledgement nor confirmation of the appointment nor pricing. Spoke with a young man who was polite, however, not definitive on responses, explained that the pricing to remove a console TV was predicated upon the size of the console TV and the space on their truck. I did not follow that way of doing business. However, I was cautiously open, was in the process of giving him the measurements, before I could finish, he interjected that he was sorry, he could not price in that manner. That response in and of itself was a flag, lend to the possibility of being surprised on pricing, in my viewpoint. Nevertheless, in light of his response, I had no alternative but to shop around for another company. Some might be comfortable with an open ended cost, not a good match for me. I have not done business with Junkahaulics, however, did call them, my telephone experience is captured. Called a few more companies. Then a BLESSING. Applied online with another company, received prompt email confirmation, then I emailed them back, was given a definitive price. The console TV was picked up within 90 minutes. SIMPLE & CLEAN. We had so many "things" to just get rid of - Wall unit/table/chair/ottoman upstairs, entire desk downstairs and entire patio set/hammock on the deck, as well as cement and a few chair from the garage.
