AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I only gave this a one star because I couldn't give it a zero!!! Avoid this company at all costs! I had a terrible experience with them. Mike the owner came out and initially quoted a price of $400-$600 for the job and when they arrived they raised the price of the job to $1,000, which I was not happy about but agreed to. They only had room for some of my items since they came with the truck already half full and they said I would have call and schedule another pickup for the rest of the items. After they finished loading the items on the first day, they demanded that the job be paid in full for both pickups before they left. After I paid the $1,000 and scheduled a second pickup, different workers came and insisted on an additional $650 after all the items were already loaded onto the truck. When I refused to pay more since this was the third time they were now trying to change the price, they dumped everything in my driveway. They have a shady practice of loading trucks loosely, sending different workers, and trying to extract more money, even after you've paid in full. Beware! read more

Junk Rats...Do not use this company!!! Mike and Bruno came to my house. I told mike all this junk needs to go how much. He gave me a price. He never said only what we can fit into one truck load. They filled a truck load and said if I wanted to get the rest cleaned I had to call and make another appointment. They also left a big mess and didn't bother cleaning up. Do not use this company. When I called the office all they told me is sorry and that's how we do business.. so I tell you I need this all removed you give me a price and then leave and tell me to call and pay for another truck and leave a huge mess behind!! I called them and they were pleasant and very responsive. They showed up within 90 minutes. The issue was they wanted 459 to haul away what I had. Most of the trash was at the curb other than a mini refrigerator and a treadmill. Joe Junk hauled away everything at the curb. They did not have to take the treadmill. Joe junk charged under 200 including tax. Too expensive. read more

They then said that they would come back the next morning to finish, that was also not true. I recently used Junk Rat on two occasions that yielded four full truck loads. On each visit the crew of two men were prompt, courteous, professional and ready to work. They removed every single item that I asked them to remove. During the removals they explained in detail the pricing so that I knew whether to continue with the process. On the second job they removed everything from an entire house. Again, they were prompt, courteous and eager to work. The two young men worked hard, efficiently and steady on some very hot days. They were very discrete in this case where there was a hoard of items. They asked if it was okay to remove this item or that particular item. Each day they cleaned up the areas that were clear of junk. I was extremely impressed with their work ethic and customer care. Steven was extremely helpful and reassuring throughout the entire process which can be overwhelming. All of the men were extremely capable, professional and courteous. Junk Rat's pricing is fair and affordable for the amount of labor that is expended in a job. I would and have recommended Junk Rat to many people and posted pictures online of the fabulous job that they did. If I ever need their services again I will not hesitate to call their office where everyone I spoke to was polite, helpful and professional. Their trucks are dock height and if you ask, they may be able to help you with your business dump removal at a fraction of the cost you might pay by hiring a carrier to pick it up and then take it to the dump and pay disposal fees. Junk Rats' rate is all inclusive, which is nice because you don't have to worry about charges after the fact. The dump fee is included and the transport is included. read more

Quoted us one price on phone and then showed up at appointed time and started to tell us is would be twice as much. This was a fairly simple job. Not a lot of surprises for them.
