I have been using Extra Space Storage in Lincolnshire for over a year now. The last two winters have had some particularly cold days and I think the staff goes around and oils all the locks to keep them working in the cold weather. I used my unit the other day and oil spilled out the little hole in the back. I would have never thought to put oil in there and it was a lifesaver! The staff is always so friendly when they drive by and often stop and chat a bit. I ship materials for trade shows and they have even offered to have return shipments sent to the office instead of my home and will put in my unit for me. Their service goes above and beyond any other storage facility I've used and it's why I stay with them. read more

Being a little older, it so nice to see our facility manager, jump in and help me out without me asking. She oiled the door, grabbed a broom and swept out the edge of our unit. Plus she swept out all of the cobwebs that she saw. What a wonderful person and a great goodwill step! read more

Stopped in the other day and spoke to the manager, Julie. She was very nice, she answered all my questions and was very courteous. I wasn't 100% sure on my plans, she offered to reserve a unit for me, but I seriously am not sure what I'm doing.she didn't get pushy, she explained that all the units are first come first serve and the one I was looking at had low availability. We didn't realize that the units can experience water leakage. This led to mold and other damage within our storage unit. Since Extra Space is a large corporate organization, the onsite management had no ability to discount our rent or provide alternative compensation from the leaky storage units. The good news is that we were using the locker to delay discarding /donating items we didn't need. The mold made this an easier decision. read more

This is my first time using a storage facility, and John has made the experience as simple and stress-free as possible for me. We had to store our stuff between houses for 6 months and stored it at Extra Space in Lincolnshire. Wendy , the manager was fantastic!! This company COMPLETELY price gouges their units. My rate went up in one month from $55/month (which I have been paying for over a year) to $110/month because they have "units in demand." Keep in mind that the unit that I currently rent is being advertised as $70/month on the website. The man on the phone told me the best he could do is lower my rate to $102/month. Started out pretty good. Then they more than doubled my rate within a few months. Was asked for reviews and how they were doing. Filled those out. Also contacted their customer service a few times for an explanation and never got any responses. Will be looking elsewhere soon for storage. read more

Great location, clean facility and excellent people. One extra plus if you are moving -- Extra Space Lincolnshire is big enough for a full moving truck to drive directly into the facility! We rented a unit last minute and after hunting around online, found Extra Space had a unit 10 X 10 for such a great price I couldn't pass it up! Dan was working and he got us all signed up & the space is clean & access is super simple! We love that all areas are covered by cameras and security is great! The next day we unloaded with movers & met Miguel. What a nice, professional & efficient man! This is my second time using this facility, so I thought I'd leave a review. This is a reasonably priced, conveniently located storage facility. I had a small, outside unit. No climate control - just the basics. The area is safe, the place is very well taken care of and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. Miguel is the manager and he will assist you with anything you need - he's very focused on customer service. Paid by auto payment, which was convenient. I just closed up my unit because I no longer have a need for it, but I will use them next time I need storage. read more
