Horrible experience. MGMT at 1927 Scott- Anastasia has serious issues. Rude over & over & over. NEVER rent from that location. After trying to reach the owners of this facility to let them know we had major issues with this person & her petty position as mgr. My hubby, who is handicapped, was made to come back & forth to facility in order to retrieve what was in our unit. For weeks we had no access & RATS had their way. So much of our things are just ruined! The constant badgering from this person was quite ridiculous! I would like a call from UTAH Administration bc NOONE should have to tolerate laws being called or lies being told on them. To MISUSE ur authority bc of a title and/or a inferiority complex is so small. So now we have to deal with a loss of a large part of our belongings. Insurance never pays, so we have to hire an atty to sue ESS... There should be good contact info for issues. read more

Zero stars!!! When I first checked reviews for this location they were great back in November 2023. We called looking for pricing on a unit and spoke with someone named Scott, who claimed to be the owner. We stopped by to tour the grounds with the manager Lupe, who we were told lives onsite. We kept looking and called back about a week later, and then are then told that the price Scott quoted was a promotion price but the new price wouldn't change for at least 6 months ( unless their rent increased) They emailed us the contract and then said we were required to have insurance and to purchase our lock from them only. For the next week we call the location to ask questions and never get an answer or return call. So the day comes we need to access the unit we arrive to buy the lock and HPD is sitting there right in front of the building! After speaking with the officer, who was in the middle of writing an incident report, I learn this place has been getting burglarized for months now. He recommended we go elsewhere. Upon approaching the employee there (who was not there the first time) she tells me her name is Anastasia and she is the asst mgr. We asked when the manager would be back to discuss our contract and she said she could help. Because her facial expression and tone was so off putting we just left as she was clearly bothered or just not a nice person. Thankfully we avoided this place and I hope you can too! read more

My wife and I were interested in renting a storage unit from this location due to the convenience it afforded us. The price seemed right and the distance from our home was perfect. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very rude lady. Slender with short hair, drives a scion. We chalked it up to her having a bad day and did not give it too much attention. After the attendant showed my wife the options, we decided to take a day and consider it. We came back the next day and call the attendant to have her show us one more unit before making our decision but the attendant informed us that she was not available because she was about to leave for a meeting. She said that we would have to come back when the manager was in at 4PM. We then asked "ok so if we were wanting to pay for a unit right now you wouldn't be able to help us either?" To which she replied no again because she had to leave. Usually this would be a mild inconvenience but the tone she used to say no to us is what really bothered us. It's like she was happy to say no to a customer. We stayed in the parking lot for another 30 minutes or so while researching reviews and other nearby options only to find that she hadn't left even though she was in such a hurry to do so. Her entire demeanor from beginning to end reinforced the message that our business was not welcomed but more so an inconvenience. If you're into being talked down to and made to feel unwelcome then this is definitely the place for you! We ended up taking our business to Public Storage and they were very nice and accommodating. read more

I signed up 3 months ago online for the web only special. My rent was raised almost twice the amount without notice last month. I called and spoke with a representative who stated the price increased due to inflation, however they are still running the same web special. She also stated they didn't have to provide a notice yet she tells me they mailed a letter on the 9/17 and I received it 9/20. I have no idea how she could tell me when I received a notice that never came. Needless to say I am definitely vacating this week. If they didn't allow customers to live in their units, inflation probably wouldn't be an issue! read more

I called their service center and explicitly stated that I needed to review the contract before agreeing to anything. They suggested setting up my account and payment arrangements first, then said if I did not sign the contract within 24 hours, it would be canceled. Despite not signing the contract, they still charged me. This is very unprofessional. read more

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY. i just was informed at 545pm that my unit was broken into and i need to assess the loss. Sorry we close at 6pm and to come by the next day. First of all, Why would they wait until 15min before closing to call and inform a customer their unit was broken into and not first thing in the morning? The guy who called me was useless and had nothing to contribute but "hey i am new i don't know anything about anything. BUT let me tell you exactly how to file a claim with insurance." The entire situation is sketchy and seems like an inside job. The person working the next day had nothing to contribute either. She "is just covering for the property for the week sorry talk to the manager Blake". I went to the unit and these people had gone through EVERY f'ing box i had in there and took whatever they wanted. I have yet to go through everything that is left and value the total stolen but so far it's over $10k. There is no security whatsoever even though their website boasts enhanced security measures in place. And get this- when i got there and said hey my unit was broken into and i am here to assess the losses, the woman goes "which unit?" HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHICH UNIT WAS BROKEN INTO?!? It must be a common occurrence if it's not a huge problem to the people working there. On top of all that, i got a notice in the mail saying "hey this is a month to month facility and we have to change our prices. Here is your new monthly rate." The new rate is basically double what i signed and agreed to only a couple months prior. What the fuck is the increased rate for?!? You rob me and then want to charge me more rent? are you insane. Thieves. I have yet to receive any communication from the manager Blake. As i continue to realize what was stolen, i am heartbroken and enraged. What pieces of shit. The responses from the company to similar reviews here are comical. How is this business still in operation. Repeat robberies. Don't come here. You'll get robbed. read more

My daughter and I have been customers at the same Extra Space Storage location in Texas for approximately 10 years. Over the past several months, I noticed changes to the rental charges for the same unit. One note - the company has changed the name at this location but Extra Space Storage is the official ownership name and has been the ownership group for the purpose of this review. Second note - I am not disclosing the exact location because ESS still has control of our storage unit with valuable family possession stored therein. But for purposes of my review of this company, the specific location is not the issue but rather what customers can expect when renting from this organization. Today, the explaination given for the changes in our rental rate is that Extra Space Storage is now treating rental units/locations as real estate. The more desirable the location, the higher the rental rates will become and, according to a rather arrogant employee, the company can change the rates at any time and without notification. In response, I asked for a copy of the rental agreement and, hopefully, my daughter might locate our original. I stated that if I could not read the fine print, which should have the wording that would detail how rates can change at any time and without prior notification, then I knew someone in Florida who really liked reading contracts. This representative of ESS immediately stated that since I was threatening legal action, she was terminating the phone call. I did get on the recorded call, unless it is edited out, that I never threatened legal action - only that someone else would be reading the rental agreement. Additionally, the payment history is extremely poor with regards to dates of monthly invoices. Since I do not believe that my daughter and I are the "center of the universe", if this is happening to us, then it can be happening to Others. I would not recommend this company or any company that has a policy that they will raise rates on existing customers any time that they choose, poor record-keeping and horrendous customer service. Everything is sweet and with rainbows while a person is being courted as a new customer. Perhaps even "move-ins" are extremely accomodating. But, it ends there. FYI - you have to schedule a move-out date. That's correct. You cannot simply clear your storage unit and then, notify Customer Service. First, you have to ask permission to move-out by letting them know you are moving out on a specific date. Yes, we are going to move out over a period of days or weekends but in the end, our notification has to be keyed to a specific date. The required date has to be during the time that they will have staff on site or some such nonsense. Yes, I understand the requirement to verify the unit is clear and there was no damage during the rental period. However, I do not like the concept that I have to schedule a specific date and time period that is convenient to them. What happens if we have a unexpected change to our schedules?? I requested an end of month timeframe but I was told "no". I had to shedule a specific date. Since I realized that I was not dealing with a rocket scientist, I stated the last day prior to the next rental period. Oddly, forcing me to pick a specific day seemed like a win for this indiviual. I gave her the sad moment of so-called victory but I wonder if she understands the phrase "End of Month"? Oh, before anyone states that the specific date was to adjust the final rental amount, that was not an option. There would be no adjusting for leaving one day after the beginning of the current rental period had commenced or the middle of the current rental period or in our case, the last day of the current rental period. Back to contracts and rental amounts - I understand the concept of new customers, at a so-called desirable location, paying higher rates than an existing customers. This is a simple marketing concept. However, to have a hidden policy that rates can change at any time for the betterment of Extra Space Storage singularly is ridiculous. Contract law normally stipulates that both sides to a contract/agreement should be aware of any changes to an existing contract/agreement prior to implementation of the changes. Also, the insurance that is charged every month is to cover Extra Space Storage's coverage and exposure. The insurance charged is not for coverage of a renter's property or so it was explained to my daughter and I while on a 3-way call in January this year. Basically, the renters are paying for ESS's risk liabiity exposure in the event of a disaster or an event that could happen due to actions of an renter at an ESS's location. IF a renter wants coverage for their direct possessions, then they have to acquire a separate policy or so it was explained to us. I wonder what the State of Texas/Department of Commerce might think about these policies?? read more

Extremely helpful customer service, best prices around - hands down for the type of service you receive. This is the second year in a row we use this location to store my child's dorm furnishings and will continue to use this location. Fortunately, I have not encountered any issues (unlike previous reviewers) and I hope it stays that way. Give'em a try you won't be disappointed. read more

On Feb 2. 2021 I went to my unit to grab some things. When I got to my unit I noticed the latch wasn't properly secured. I open my unit and immediately noticed my unit was drastically more empty. Now this is when things get weird. I started to notice other people belongings in my unit. Family photos, military discharge papers, work out equipment, and clothing. I ran over to the office and told the lady that I wanted to speak with a manger. (Karen) moment I know. I spoke with a man and told him what was going on. He didn't seam the least bit interested. He didn't even wanna look in my unit. All he said was call the police and get a police report. "You have insurance, so they will cover you for lost possessions if their were force of entry" they were about to close so they just wanted to leave and not deal with the situation. So I call the police. The police show up and go thru my unit looking into the personal paper work that was not mine. He gets a hold of the person who's items were in my unit and the guy has a story himself about when he ended his unit at the same place a week prior that he noticed some of his things were missing and there was a random suitcase in his unit. Now one of the things I'm missing is a suitcase. So he says he can be at the place in 30 min to see if it's my suitcase. So the cop and I wait for him to get there and when he shows up with the random suitcase that was in his storage unit. The suitcase was not mine. At this point we're really confused on what's going on. His belongings are in my unit, and he has random items in his. He then proceeds to tell me that he noticed the last time he was at his unit that he noticed his lock wasn't latched correctly and that he was able to just slide his unit up without unlocking it. JUST LIKE MY UNIT! The man,the cop, and I decide to go up to the third floor to investigate and see if his unit was still unlocked and see if any other items, perhaps mine were in there. His unit was completely empty. But we noticed the unit next to his had a lock on it but wasn't properly latched over to lock. With the cops permission we opened that unit and guess what we find? MY HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND PERSONAL FAMILY PHOTOS OF MINE. At this point we are all so confused, but are starting to piece this together. Someone has access to all of these locks that were issued from the office. We start going around and their are a bunch of units the same exact way. Just completely unlocked. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any more of my things. Side note on how disgusting this place is: we found multiple units were random people have been sleeping. Anyway, the next day I go to the office and tell them this whole ordeal. They had the audacity to tell me that we probably just didn't lock the units properly. They really said that. That all of these units people just didn't lock it properly. I told them I wanted to do a walk thru of the entire property so can hopefully find my missing things. They agreed and we walked thru finding even more unlocked units with peoples valuables. Unfortunately we still didn't find my things. At the end of this whole situation they just told me there was nothing they could do and I should just contact the insurance that they provided me. But they said they probably won't be able to do much considering there was no "forced entry" at this point I'm pretty upset. I feel violated that someone went thru my personal things and they're basically telling me tough luck. A few days pass and I'm expecting an email to everyone saying something along the lines of "hey we have had an incident at our facility, everyone needs to go thru their units and make sure nothings missing or items that don't belong to are in there" but nothing like that at all. Someone clearly has access to these units and they didn't do anything about it. I HIGHLY recommend you don't put your personal belongings at this facility. This place does not care about their customers, only about making a buck. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I have had one of the most violating experiences ever through this establishment. After going to my storage unit I noticed a large amount of my items were missing and someone else's items were in their place. After reaching out to the manager, their only response was basically that it wasn't their problem and to contact the police. After contacting the police and the police officer contacting the person who's items were in my unit (turns out he's also missing more items than what was found in my unit), I filed an insurance claim (insurance through the storage facility) and contacted the manager of the storage unit the following day. After asking the manager what was going to be done about this, they said they did not want to send out a mass email to their customers about checking their units for stolen items from their unit or for mysterious items found in their unit, she said the company would reach out to every customer by phone. I HIGHLY doubt this is the case. I STRONGLY recommend staying as far away as possible from this place...and if you already have a unit here, take everything you have out of it and go somewhere else where they have cameras and management that actually cares. This place is sketchy and will take what it wants from you. read more
