Very predatory business. Offers one price to get you in the facility and then LESS than 6mos. later, they jack the rate up on you in the dead of winter when impossible to move!! Then have manager call back after complaining with the audacity to advise they got the new "extra fee" I was charged cut in half. WOW, thanks so much! Now I only have to pay Half the increase I shouldn't have received in the first place!! Terrible place to do business with considering they think this is ok business practices. Best advice- keep looking if you don't want your monthly fees jacked up on you just months as you have stuff stored. Not like this is a cheap place to rent on top of things. I would never rent from this place. In the past year they've raised my rent over $50 a month. Currently a new customer can rent the same size unit as mine for $118 and I pay $170. The district manager totally insulted me by offering to take $10 off. Unethical business practices is the name of the game here. read more

I have now and have had two storage units at the Extra Space Storage in Fairfax, Ohio. The manager of the units is great, but his corporate backup is miserable. I had an indoor unit which was flooded because of a problem at the facility. Property was damaged. I filed a claim under the provided insurance policy. Since then I have had no support and the claims management company has been a joke. They carry their insurance through American Claims Management. I have been transferred from one claims adjuster to another and get no responses either to emails or voicemails. While I like the local manager very much, Extra Space Storage needs to step up and stand behind their customers. read more

Pretty cheep place to rent from and nicely sized units. However, it was actually very difficult to get out of the facility though. The worker at the front left for lunch while we were leaving so no one was there to open the gate. We had to run out of our cars and all the way around to get the gate to open. It was a bit of a hassle. read more

If you're looking for a place to store your things, you won't find another place as good as this Extra Space Storage facility. The place is super clean; there's a lot of security (a strong wire fence and cameras all around plus a code-controlled gate: and, it's very affordable. But what really separates this place from all the others is the manager, Susie. What a marvelous person to work with! She is very friendly and personable. And, she looks out for all your storage needs (you can tell she has a ton of experience with all the advice she gives). Lastly, let me say how flexible Susie is with accommodating her customers. Packing, moving and storing things is stressful enough; but, Susie really helps to relieve that stress. She understands schedules between one moving in/out don't always match up. Susie knows this and will work with you to meet your schedule. I just can't say enough nice things about Susie... I hope the company recognizes what an asset she is to them! read more
