There were no cat feces in the bedroom nor in the basement where we needed the boxes and bins to go to. The homeowner is upset that one room is essentially a fire hazard and the egress from that room is blocked. I paid $1460 to have my belongings placed in certain areas of the house, and that did not happen. June 2, 2024 After several phone calls to EE Ward in Grove City, my nephews and I agreed to a crew returning to the house to place the boxes in their respective places (bedroom, basement). My nephews and I cleaned the cat litter issues. While on the phone, my nephew explained that I am elderly and disabled, and he is recovering from lung cancer. A crew of three movedthe boxes on Friday, May 31. Marcy, Shayna, and Janine were quite helpful in resolving this complaint.

The only thing I would say that was a negative was I had to call three weeks in advance to schedule. But that was fine since we had 30 days to close on our home. It's summer, I get it. But the movers who showed up were incredible. Our driver Jake made sure all our floors were covered with mats or cardboard so we didn't get scratches. This was great because our floors in Columbus were brand new! We tipped each guy $100 since they were so good. They wore masks which my wife appreciated as well. Here's some pictures from going to check out our stuff in storage. Nice warehouse your for my sons and great people! Thanks Jake and team!

I can't say enough great things about MVM. I was in a serious bind after getting scammed by another…read morecompany and with less than 2 days until my move, I had to explore other options. By some kind of miracle, MVM had availability for that Saturday to move me from Columbus to Cleveland. The team was kind, professional, and prompt. They were friendly and took great care of my items. There were only two guys moving stuff out of my two bedroom apartment, but they worked quickly and efficiently. I moved in to an old house that had some tight squeezes to work through. Not once did they complain or huff and puff as they worked to get my couch through a narrow doorway. They charge by the hour (aside from if you have any special items, such as a piano) and there aren't any hidden fees. And unlike some other companies, your items are the only ones on that truck, nor do they make multiple pickups and stops. Very straightforward and simple. MVM made what was initially an incredibly stressful situation painless. I have already recommended them to friends and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Formal Complaint - Poor Service, Property Damage, and Unprofessional Conduct…read more This company and its staff were disorganized, damaging, delayed, dismissive, condescending, unaccountable, careless, and overall highly unprofessional. I strongly advise proceeding with caution. My move took place on March 13th and was poorly executed from start to finish. A job estimated at three hours took well over six hours due to inefficiency and lack of coordination. During the move, my property was mishandled, resulting in a broken mirror and damage to the walls. Communication throughout the process was minimal and disorganized, with no clear updates or accountability. I was also charged an unexpected $500 overtime fee. While this fee was eventually refunded, the circumstances raise serious concerns. I was informed that a full refund would not be considered because, in the company's history, they "do not do that," and that as long as the move was completed, the quality of service was irrelevant. While interactions with Shayne (Branch Manager) were frustrating at times, he did make efforts within his authority and indicated that approval was needed from Ben (Regional Manager) to process a full refund. It was implied this would be approved, and Shayne appeared confident in that direction. However, once escalated, communication became inconsistent. Ben was unavailable, and this was later referenced as a reason for delays. When I spoke with Brian (CMO), the response did not reflect a thorough review. Instead, assumptions were made, the tone was patronizing, and there was no meaningful effort to resolve the concerns. At no point was there accountability, de-escalation, or empathy. This experience raises serious concerns regarding service quality, communication, and leadership accountability. Proceed with extreme caution.

Caution for anyone searching this platform: My Guy Movers LLC (myguymoversllc.com / NextLevel…read moreEnterprise, LLC) is NOT the same business as the "My Guy" vendor listed on movinghelp.com. They share a nearly identical name but are separate, competing entities. There is an ongoing dispute between them over the business name. I was misled into booking and paying a $150 deposit. When I canceled within two hours upon discovering the confusion, they refused to refund me. BBB and Attorney General complaints have been filed. EDIT: Amended to 3 stars. Owner has respond to the BBB complaint and refunded the original deposit.

Do not consider any company that isn't Yelp Guaranteed. BEWARE OF A NON-BINDING CONTRACT as Yelp…read moreterms state that it requires a "binding" quote. This company quoted me low at $1500-$1800 to move a single bedroom apartment across state lines. Then they sat me down in the middle of my move, amongst the chaos, with a carbon paper in front of me stated $5700 (as I recall). I paid $3500 that I was supposed to feel good about for getting discounted (20% and another 20%); and that did not include the $350 booking fee that they had previously stated would be applied to the total. They even wanted to charge me 3.5% transaction fee using a CC for payment. I suppose my jaw on the floor was enough to not fully cut my throat. That got waived. Since then, I've done my due diligence. 49 CFR § 375.405 states that a company cannot legally charge 10% more than the original quote and that additional charges cannot be billed until later. I intend on challenging the company, filing a complaint with the FMCSA, and possibly suing in small claims court. Additionally, the regulation states weights must be accurate and the individual should be allowed an hour to decide on added expenses. None of that took place. Sharrod had wrote down an inventory, asked me to sign, and then he guesstimated his own weights. He assured me my signature was in case an accident occurred, insurance would cover the loss. That may have been true but the list of items was primarily to show "add-ons" that amounted to more. For two week, I've been asking for that paperwork and have yet to get it. The two stars they deserve are for friendliness and an okay job moving things, but My Guys is certainly not the most professional company. My items were positioned well but no straps and blankets were used that I could see. I even offered moving blankets that were not used. There seemed to be an assumption that boxes will fly around in transit. That they did. The movers were walking individual items in by hand, but I suppose that's partly on me for not fully sealing boxes on top with tape. I learned a hard lesson. I should have followed my gut and performed the move myself, but what is one supposed to do when given a competitive quote? https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-49/subtitle-B/chapter-III/subchapter-B/part-375/subpart-D/section-375.405#p-375.405(b)(9)
