The "security" for the facility sucks. Barely ANY cameras on site. The worst of it is the fact that thieves can rent a unit after office hours, be granted access IMMEDIATELY, enter, break into any unit they want, and then basically take their time to go through the unit. The gate doesn't allow entry after 10, but it permits exit. My wife lost almost half her unit's contents, which included three paintball guns and a sword of mine because of this. And when asked, management said there was nothing they could do to prevent this. Other facilities have a clause in their contracts about what type of lock you can and cannot use, this place does not. They quote a monthly rate over the phone and reserve a unit for you. When you go to finalize the reservation and use the unit, they decide they are going to change and raise the monthly rate arbitrarily and expect you to just accept that. Bait and Switch is not proper and unacceptable when running a business! Don't rent a storage unit from these people! read more

I dislike that Yelp does not allow you to Yelp a corporation versus a location. This Yelp is not necessarily for this location but for the number that you contact in general. I am so frustrated, angry, and disappointed, that I hope this comes out where it is understandable. I contacted what I thought was this location come when in actuality it was a general phone number. I informed them that I was moving from a another storage company and that I would not be able to move in until the 11th. She told me she would be able to hold that reservation until the 4th. On the 4th I was going to go ahead and move a few things in but complete my move in on the 11th as I really wanted this size and this particular location. What I realized was that because the storage companies could not evict people for a number of months that they actually lost money, however they are not the only ones who have been affected by covid 19. Because I was not willing to pay today and give them 2 weeks worth of free money they cancelled my reservation. As and essential worker and a health care professional, I am really bothered by the way these companies are responding to consumers. A lot of these businesses received money to continue operating and to continue paying their employees. As an essential worker we received nothing. Individuals and companies received additional money to stimulate the economy. Gas prices increased grocery prices increased everyday needs increased and there were a lot of individuals in companies that got money to increase the economy. Health care workers and 1st responders, we got nothing. Our income was stretched even thinner as the prices increased on everything. I will not just hand over 2 weeks worth the money to a storage company and anyone else. Keep your storage and I find another location and another company. Do not do business with EXTRA SPACE!!!! read more

So what's the point of reserving on line if they don't honor it? I got a 10x10 unit for $110 a month and when I arrived, they said it was $120 because it was air conditioned. Or I could get another, but not the first month free. I need the short term storage for a relative who is moving right away and didn't want to waste more time. Truck was already loaded. I took the unit, but I would recommend checking other places before you come here. I'll be out shortly. They also force you to have insurance. Luckily AAA came through and proved I already had coverage for storage units. read more

Called to confirm with the assistant manager the online rate of $49 a month for a 4x8 storage unit. Packed the truck and headed down to store my stuff and found out this place is a SCAM!!! The assistant manager, who I talked to on the phone an hour earlier told me that "it doesn't show it on the Internet, but their is a $13 dollar a month insurance fee on top of the $49 monthly rate". What a joke. He could have told me that over the phone, but it appears it's the way they get extra money out of people. Went to Sparkys up the street and got a bigger unit for alot less money. read more
