They were really easy to work work and there wasn't much work on my end. The facilities and property are clean and the employees are friendly. She always has a smile on her face and was checking on all the units; making her rounds to ensure the units are secure, clean and ready for new clients. Convenience, Security & Price are all majors for me. I travel up & down I-4 a lot. So this location is close & fits my needs. Just off SR 472 @ Hwy 17-92. Not knowing the area, so security is of concern. I feel very much at peace with the managers living full time on property. Speaking of the manager, she is extremely nice, business like & thorough. I had a storage unit here for 3 years. During that time I faced almost 100% rate increase and decided to move my things. Upon doing so I discovered my furniture was completely chewed by rats and had to be thrown away. Despite that, I had to remove it to avoid a charge for leaving it there. I wouldn't recommend this facility, I'm only sorry that I left my things there for so long to be ruined by pests and thrown in the trash, might as well have stored them outside! read more

Had to move my injured daughter's apartment furnishings in to a 10x20 here. Cost nearly $500 to do, around 12/1/2014. This is a nice, well located facility with all the conveniences, gates, etc. and is a NYSE corporation. The local staff is helpful and professional. The problem is the Corporate attitude toward its customers. After 3 months, I got a rate increase over 15%(!), so price shopping around originally was negated. The original price was also Plus a $10 month insurance charge (I finally overcame with a Homeowner's Rider); The first month "Free" has some caveats; Their ability to take payment online is limited to autopay, which I won't do; and they send you an email 'Due Date Reminder' every month, as if you've never had a monthly obligation to remember. I could overlook a lot but the 15% is just plain wrong, even if the contract says they can raise price anytime. It wasn't a General Increase across the board. BEWARE! read more

My first impression was, Wow....since then, not so much. The corporate office and the people in the Deland facility don't have any idea what each other is doing...or what the rates are, how transfers happen, or if the special they are supposedly running applies to you, and one will tell you one thing, and the other the exact opposite. The due date they give you is not the due date....it is the day before. AND...if you are "delinquent" on your payment...you can't use the online service, you have to give your info over the phone...not something I am real comfortable doing. I am from here, and would not recommend trying to deal with this place. They have made what was already a stressful move, into a bit of a nightmare for me. Thanks guys. read more
