This bridge is the main evacuation route exiting beachside and also is the most popular route for beach goers in season so it can get backed up at times. It also offers shelter for the many people that flock here to fish off the fishing pier located directly under the bridge on the mainland side. With plenty of parking this area is adjacent to Riverside Park so the kids can play while others fish. I'm fortunate that I get view of this bridge daily when I'm in town driving down Riverside Road. There are also protected pedestrian walkways on either side of this structure that is very popular for people taking their daily walks or biking across.

You cannot reach anyone at the office and you basically self check in. During our stay there were many times we couldn't park because the adjoining unit had too many people and loud parties all night. Rules for the pool weren't followed with kids under 12 without parental supervision pool open all night with the people constantly slamming the pool gate door young kids screaming at the pool all night and in the parking lot between units. Keyless entry to all units and pool area didn't seem real secure since there was one code for everyone for pool and at times there was more than 18 people in the pool. Upon leaving another guest asked my unit number which I didn't give which doesn't leave me feeling safe at all. During stay they were also doing painting so there were additional vehicles as well for the workers making maneuvering the parking lot extremely difficult at best. One car was damaged at the resort during our stay as well.

This was Deacon's first historical site with his maw maw YoYo on her trek to see all things historical. He seemed to enjoy the adventure. The Cruger-de-Peyster Plantation Sugar Mill Ruins are superb. There are hiking trails in to the jungle like funa but we didn't have bug spray. I keep it in my car but we were enjoying Kayla's new rocking rover!!! We saw quite a few lizards. I guess they are a local staple to the wildlife here. Their little throats blow out a orangish bag, weird to us West Virginians....lol!! This park is nice! Pets allowed Small parking lot. My Wife that has a repeated yearly cycle now of 4 straight years of taken off due to blaming husband for her leaving ,but the real reason each time has been she relapsed and was ready to run while pregnant again currently. It took me several attempts to even get the dispatch to have a officer call me. They misguided me the first time,stating I needed to contact my local sherriffs department. So I'm on a storm call in Rhode Island ! I call Road Island Sherriffs department as told! They stated incorrect information given. I call my Ormond Beach Police Officer which is my current residence. I spoke to a very professional officer that gave me the same statement as Rhode Island Sherriffs Station. You do not have to contact your local department if outta town. Ok now I call back edgewater police department with street address where my Wife and kids are suppose to be staying. Then after telling the dispatcher or officer that answered I was told by two different departments in two different states they mislead me, I finally had a street patrol officer call me . His name given was officer Potter! Officer Potter was so unprofessional that he started questioning the father as to why I was wanting a wellness check at 2am in the morning as he sat at the residence address that I wanted confirmation from that my children were safe with their mother. Not dropped off at Amy Ownby's residence while the Mother took off on another run as she has done at each pregnancy totaling two prior in past 3.5 years with me and her first child same thing with another man. After about 2.2 hours of trying to get a confirmation my kids were safe and the mother was with them at Amy Ownbys residence! I was refused a wellness check after Officer Potter called me back and stated his sergeant agreed it was not a needed wellness check. This officer Potter & His office has neglected to perform their duty as required by state Laws. Once I return home from helping out to restore 800k people without power I will be taking this situation to a higher state office. I truly hope this officer understands he refused to confirm my addict Wife and two helpless children were safe together and my kids weren't dropped off at a family members house while she took off using. I'm mean come on really are they that board in this city? They where rude acting like my 83 year uncle was being mistreated.. I have a poa, I tell them he shouldn't be driving and they give him the keys and his car back. And I had a poa that covered that car. Guy is a safety risk has bad eyes takes all kinds of medicine has crushed and ran stuff over and they give him his keys..the next week DMV surspened his license. They don't listen,there all jail happy. Made a big shit show scean. They acted like I was wrong even thow I had a poa from the state of Florida. There looking for issues and if they find nothing they try to invent something if they want to fight real crime go be a Daytona cop. Now they have real crime to deal with. This place is stolen bikes and pulling people over for nothing the only one with common sense is the caption he was very nice and professional. Probably because he knew the law and also understood my uncle was 83 and he had the key in his pocket....lol
