Dianne did an excellent job coordinating the move on the Florida end while we were still in Missouri. She also helped with insuring we got the best value deal on the space. After checking prices with their competitors, we found OOS to be the most economical of the five or so self-storage businesses in the area. So, having never rented a storage locker before, I spoke to Joseph and explained our situation. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed me the differences between the two lockers I was considering, and really helped this become a smooth and pleasant experience. He explained what I could expect from the company, and what they would expect from me in return. I left the office feeling reassured and happy. Now, June 1, they OVERLOCKED my unit with their red padlock!  They seized my stuff! I was terrified they were going to have an auction.  I still am!  I'm paid for 8 more months! I'm out of there. Locker was at this US storage…read more Facility on 2910 Kurt St. I properly as per contract cleaned out the locker, and would return in a few days to receive my $100. Cleaning deposit. Days later, the facility manager "Lissette" sends me an email that I've been seen on camera leaving a piano in the hallway. Move it or I'm keeping the $100. .. The manager threatened she was going to tell the auction site I use to cause me harm. After several emails and her admitting what she accused did not happen, I still had to demand the return or would take legal action. After a month later, the manager had more nonsense to say, but included my $100. would be returned. It's now mid July 2019. Do you think the manager has put a check in the mail? Or still trying to steal deposit money?  Not a local of the pretty little town of Eustis, but in the area at the time I should have been able to get my deposit. Maybe the manager Lissette thinks now I should drive an HR to hope to collect my deposit money she tried to steal? BTW. I hope the completely burnt out lights in the loading zone have been replaced. It was tough packing a truck in complete darkness.

I went there personally to meet the manager and inspect the premises and room. When I got there on my move-in day with the movers, there was no one in the office. The office was closed. I called the main phone number and it directed me to a call center. They had no idea how to get a hold of the manager. I escalated this to a supervisor. No one called me back. I had the movers idling the truck and they were on the clock. I was forced to find an alternate place miles away. I ended up spending 2 extra hours for my move. To this date (5 days later), no one from Morningstar has called me with an apology or explanation of why no one was there. Stay clear of this place.

Very inconsiderate with communication and close and lock their doors at random times throughout the…read moreweek. They will hang a "be back soon" window sign and be gone well after the indicated time. I'm pretty sure the guy that manages that place sleeps in the back until people come pounding on the door or call five times back to back to wake him up. Don't even try reaching them on the phone. You will get their corporate customer service nearly every time. Unreasonably over priced units considering they are not air-conditioned and there is no maintenance from what I can speculate to keeping rodents or pests out of your unit. They force an insurance policy on you to pay every month which is very minimal coverage, and if you get a first month free offer, they charge you for initial fees which basically offset the cost anyways. My particular unit was constantly being invaded by mud-dobbers. And I had constant anxiety about them infesting my toolbox which is valued more than most vehicles.
