I cannot give this person enough praise! He was the driver that delivered my goods in Williamsburg, VA. Very personable and professional with high energy!. Because of Junior, ABF will be the first company I call for my next move. The day before another full service moving company from hell showed up at my door and told me my estimate is wrong and my cost will be 40% higher. Luckily I had some leeway and did not need to move that day. The company owner was surprised by my decision not to use their service assuming I was trapped. Back to the drawing board, I stumbled on ABF Upack when googling. I could not have been happier! The customer service reps on their toll free number were so helpful, upbeat and professional. The very next day a trailer was delivered to our home. We had to pack the trailer ourselves which was not a problem. A bulkhead used to separate cargo can be locked. The remaining space is used for commercial shipments. Therefore, there is only one household move is on a trailer eliminating any confusing of ownership. When we finished loading, the driver returned to pick up the trailer. My goods were on their 1,400 mile journey. I could track my goods trip using their website. A nice little perk! ABF offers to options to move which I did not know until I called. One is UPack and the other is a trailer. The first option is you pay by the cube. The other second is you pay by usage on a trailer. In my case, this was, by far, the least expensive option. It is worth checking both options when doing your homework. Again, thank you ABF for your exceptional service. On planning the move, once more the staff were excellent to assist with my planning as I knew there was going to be some delay between the time of packing and the availability of my new residence. They made me feel secure in a plan to pick up my trailer on 31Aug and deliver it promptly on 09Sep. The customer service professional advised me of an ideal plan and that they would hold my items if they happened to arrive too early. No problem, right? However, they didn't pickup on 31Aug as described, unknown to me I had to call for trailer pickup that was supposed to be pre-arranged but a call cleared that up on 01Sep and they hauled it off. Since then, the trailer has been parked in Winston Salem, NC. A follow up call to their toll-free number on 08Sep to a less than interested employee suggested it may arrive on the 11th but they do not deliver on weekends so it may be the 12th...13th...14th even. At this point I'm wondering if I am going to require shopping for a new wardrobe to start my new job at my new location. The truck location still showing Winston Salem, NC and it's the day it was intended to be delivered. I have had to reschedule my unloading staff appointment and have no idea when to expect arrival of my belongings. My first experience would have been a 5/5. This experience, I would rate a 1/5. At this point I feel concerned my property is not secure and that it has not made any movement in 9 days.

I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Two Men and a Truck…read more During my move, the crew pulled my dresser away from the wall without using a dolly or having a second person assist. As a result, they broke the dresser. When they showed it to me, they immediately claimed that it had already been broken and previously glued back together -- which is completely untrue. The dresser had never been broken before. They are now trying to say the glue and screws show it was previously repaired, which is false. The damage happened during their handling. They then had me sign a form, telling me I was just acknowledging that they took photos and were starting a damage claim. I later realized the form was not what they represented it to be. I feel I was misled into signing something under false pretenses. In addition to the dresser, they dented my washer during transport and caused frame damage. Instead of properly addressing the issue, they repeatedly punched the washer in an attempt to push the dent out. They are now refusing to repair or properly fix that damage. The problems did not stop there. They removed doors from their hinges and failed to reinstall them properly. Some doors now will not go back on the hinges at all, and others were damaged during removal. They also scratched multiple walls throughout the home. Overall, this experience was careless, unprofessional, and handled dishonestly when it came to accepting responsibility. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this company.

She said that the claims department wouldn't give me much of anything, but this was all she could do. On pick up day I arrived to the pickup location, reservation email in hand, to find that the trailer I needed was not available. The "customer service rep" at the pickup location claimed that this is a problem with uhaul and was not able to contact them by phone for a resolution. I called uhaul myself who then claimed it was the fault of the pickup location that they didn't have my trailer. The uhaul rep was not able to find a trailer for me within an hour drive. Unacceptable as this was I had no other choice if I wanted a trailer. In an absolute stroke of genius, my wife suggested that we inquire with our original pickup location about a box truck. This would however be more expensive since uhaul charges for mileage but it did prevent me from having to drive more than an hour out of my way to pick up a trailer. They did have a box truck which worked nicely even though it tripled our cost and smelled of cheap cigarettes. The next time I need to move large items I will seek out other options.

Literally like walking down a grocery store aisle and just swiping your arm on the shelf to knock it all off into a box. That's what our stuff looked like. Apparently they list that they don't pack liquids, sure that's fine - but why did you end up packing obvious liquid items that then leak all over the boxes? Packers showed up late, only two packers - took two days and they still weren't finished on truck day. (My one nice thing to say is that the gentleman packing my house was quiet and polite. Sadly they could use some packing skills.) The truck was late by over a week on delivering our items. If you get assigned this moving company -- SAY NO! Do not use this company.
