You can only open the sliding doors with a code, and there are dollys in the entryway if needed. The elevator is big enough to accommodate a large bed or mattress. There are many units still available for rent, and they come in multiple sizes. On top of great service, they also are giving half off for the first three months. My parents are picky about where they will leave their items, but they have nothing but positive things to say about Ocean Storage!

Let me just say this place is my jam!!…read more Basically I reserved a 26" Uhaul truck and auto transport sometime around December for a June 27th pickup date for my move to Florida. (Thats 6 months in advance ok?) Stor Moore was my "preferred" pickup location, because it was literally 0.8 miles from my house! Anyway, I decided to stop into Stor Moore the day before my scheduled pickup just to make sure they had me all set for the next morning. Turns out Uhaul(not Stor Moore) reserved me, but never "scheduled" me which all in short almost means that they gave my truck to the first person who paid up front for it. I called Uhaul customer service just for them to tell me, "sorry we dont have any equipment in the area at all, but we can give you a $50 credit towards your card on file for the inconvenience!! WHAT??? I basically tell her that is bogus, unfair, and flat out incompetent customer service. She then says "well we do have a truck available in Windsor, Va but the auto transport is in Franklin so you'd have to go pick them both up separately. Which means I would be driving my own car, plus the uhaul truck for about 2-3 extra hours. I was literally on the verge of tears. All this planning for our move, just to come down to we dont even have a truck after reserving 6 months in advance. We called a few competitor truck rental companies just to be disappointed again because now we'd be considered "last minute" reservations which is way more expensive (approx $300-$400 more) It was just a frustrating mess!! But Stor Moore to the rescuuuee!! lol The staff at this location was working on my behalf all along, and speaking to higher ups and their go to direct contacts for Uhaul. They called me back to tell me that they'd received the ok to go and pick up both the truck and auto transport for me at no additional charge and that they'd have it for me on time the next day as planned! Not only that, I was comped an extra 200 miles, and given a discount on the overall rental equipment. They took care of us at Stor Moore!! (7307 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown, Va). Its been a long process planning our big move from VA to FL, but thank God for the amazing and helpful staff at Stor Moore man. They really look out for their customers and I'll NEVER forget it!!!

I drove up to the gate to input my key code and it said "access denied." Thinking maybe my key code was incorrectly dialed in. I tried again and the same thing happened. Ok then, let me go into the office and see what's up. I gave the peoples my name to look up my account, and I forgot the exact date I started with them. Today's the 30th, they told me I was ONE DAY LATE from paying my bill, so they mentioned they put a padlock on my storage unit. Then up to this point, everything is all good. This is the dialogue. "Ma'am, I'm going to close out my account today. I don't think there's anything in the unit but wanted to double check and recover my lock." "Sir, well since you are a day late, we locked up your storage unit. We can PRORATE you a price for a day, so you can grab your items." I'm thinking to myself, are you serious, 'PRORATE You a Price.' They also Had to mentioned that if I left any items in the unit they will charge for cleaning it out. Shaking my head at all this nonsense, for one day. So it's totally my fault not coming beforehand and I get that, but the principle of the One Day is driving me crazy. Just be aware, also the Prorated Price was $5 for one day. I recovered my lock and in the unit was only a folded up moving box. If they wanted $5 they could of just asked me for it instead of this nonsense. Lesson of today, "Don't be ONE Day Late or You'll pay A Prorated Fee.' Guaranteed!!!
