Everything looks very secure, the storage units are gated and you need a special password to get in. I've had stuff stored here for about a year and it's just how I left it. I would definitely recommend this as a storage facility, the only negative is that it's not the closest to the college campus, but if you have a car or a truck it's not a big deal at all.

Convenient space with lovely people running it. Highly recommend!!

When I got there, the manager informed me that the door is much smaller in width than the unit that said "drive-up access" and "vehicle storage" on the website. So I handed the keys back to the manager and said to cancel it. Well, he never did. A week later, it looked like the account was still active. I called customer service and after being transferred and cut off several times, they informed me that "unfortunately" they could not give me a refund for the months that were paid for. So after $500, I never used the space because of their inaccurate description. Manager at the facility was really nice, but their customer service (especially Brandy with a Y) was terrible!!! I'm not kidding that I've only gotten mad at a customer service person a few times ever in my life and this was one of them. She even said a customer service supervisor would call me back within 48 hours, and now it's 7 days later and I'm still waiting. I'm going to just call it a loss though, because I can't go through all that again. Ugh. Terrible isn't a harsh enough word.

Unfortunately, some things happened over the course of the following year that left me extremely dissatisfied. 1) The cost of my parking space doubled over my time there - owing to periodic "regional cost evaluations" - with $20 per month increases every couple of months. For what I don't know. 2) They pulled a stunt where they tried to slam on unnecessary supplemental insurance to my monthly charges. - First it was due to my 6 month policy renewal. It honestly did not occur to me to share new details, but they also did not make the requirement known until the day of expiration and then went ahead and added the supplemental insurance anyway without even offering a chance to rectify the situation. I feel the business could be more organized and flexible. Most people have their insurance and other bills on auto renewal and don't think about things like this. It is obviously done at the last minute and slammed on thinking the customer will not notice since the bill is auto payment - After sorting this matter out, they added the charges back again a few days later. This time it was allegedly for "an audit". After explaining to the office staff that they had already received and acknowledged the required insurance details, it was stated that they needed the entire declarations statement from my policy. This includes coverage details for property that does not pertain to my business relationship at all with Prime Storage. At the time I was caring for a sick pet with cancer, so I did not fight the battle and just gave it to them. Again the matter was sorted out with office staff and I thought that would be the end of it. - Then some time later, the charges appeared again. This time it was due to the manager allegedly "accidentally adding them" following the audit. So another conversation with the office later, the matter is supposedly sorted out again. - Finally, most recently the stunt with insurance started all over again with zero notice for requirements to update policy information before slamming in supplemental insurance. 3) The property is shaded, and during the recent snow and ice storm in January they did not do anything at all to treat or clear the main road going into the property. After a few days of melt / freeze, the snow had compacted to a sheet of ice making it extremely dangerous to enter and leave the property via the steep driveway. This was so bad, in fact, that while I was there returning my vehicle I saw another customer spreading ice melt trying to clear the driveway. I could barely enter and leave myself, and the possibility of an accident was very high as a result of this negligence.

The units are climate controlled, the 2nd month is free, they offer a moving van to assist in your move at no extra charge, really, really amazing!! After business hours the area manager saw us struggling and let us move into a bigger storage unit really close to our old one. He told us he'd hate to see us move our stuff twice and to go by the office the next day to update the contract. He saved us from moving into two storage units. Absolutely amazing customer service.

The manager and other staff were often rude, drunk, high and most times aggressive while at work as I performed my job. After multiple attempts to resolve issues through communication I was yelled at, over worked and bullied. The customer service is very suspicious and often times leads to customers either overcharged or in some cases charging extra to cause hardship on customers. I highly do not recommend employment here or the purchase of any products. While I appreciate the opportunity, I was disappointed with the way I was treated and disturbed at the events that were unprofessional and very aggressive towards me in management approaches. This type of unprofessionalism made it difficult to do my job effectively due to the constant threats and mistreatment due to poor management. There are also roaches and rats at an alarming rate in people's storage units upon entering you see rat traps and I was a housekeeper constantly being told to work with extremely bad pesticides and I am currently five months pregnant. I hope the company will consider addressing issues as such in the future.

The "manager" was utterly useless when we finally tracked them down. Their blatant lies and contract violations have forced us to pursue legal action. My wife and I chose Safe & Sound Moving Company for our move from Chapel Hill, North Carolina to…read moreAtlanta, Georgia. We chose Safe & Sound because of the company's stellar Yelp reviews and its average Yelp rating when compared to other moving companies in the Triangle. Safe & Sound seemed like a safe bet and I'm happy to report that it was. We moved from a two-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom condo. We added on: (1) a stop to drop off furniture at my parents' house in High Point, North Carolina and (2) haul-away of some items in Atlanta. The total cost for everything was $4,075, broken down as follows: * 2 movers + equipment, loading in Chapel Hill (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * 2 movers + equipment, loading in Chapel Hill (0.5 hour, additional time required) - $77.50 * 2 movers + equipment, unloading in High Point (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * 2 movers + equipment, unloading in Atlanta (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * Deposit for travel and truck - $50 * Haul-away (junk removal) of double mattress, double box spring, bed frame, one standard dining room chair, and torchiere floor lamp - $125 * Remainder of balance for travel - $2,875 * Additional cost/payment - $182.50 * Tip for mover 1 - $150 * Tip for mover 2 - $150 A $485 total deposit was due upfront to secure the reservation. We asked for the movers to show up at a specific date and time. We paid the $485 total deposit 26 days in advance with a credit card. The rest ($3,590) was paid via multiple Zelle transactions after we arrived in Atlanta. In hindsight, I think I may have overpaid $50 because the $50 deposit for the travel and truck was included in our $485 total deposit. I believe that same $50 was included in the remainder of the balance for travel. In other words, I think the $2,875 above should have been $2,825, but I could be wrong. Also, in my stress and exhaustion from the move, I forgot what the additional cost/payment of $182.50 was for. It made sense at the time, when I signed the form ("Uniform Household Goods Bill of Lading - 35 Miles or Less") after the move was complete. I was just happy it was over and that my wife, the movers, and I all made it safely to Atlanta in three separate vehicles on moving day. I do think all of the costs could have been communicated more clearly in writing for our understanding. Money aside, as for the move itself, it generally went well. We scheduled a 9:00-10:00am arrival window for the movers. This was on a Wednesday. We were packed and ready to go at 9am. Unfortunately, the movers were delayed and showed up around 10:45am. They arrived in a 26-foot white Penske truck. It's my understanding they rented it that morning. While it was overkill for the amount of stuff we had, I believe it was the best available truck at the time. It looked new. The movers were Hamza (lead) and Sula. They were great. Very kind and polite. These were young guys in their early 20s. They both wore Safe & Sound T-shirts. They worked hard, quickly and carefully wrapping and protecting our queen mattress and furniture with stretch wrap and blankets, and moving all sorts of heavy boxes and miscellaneous items (e.g., my awkward and heavy standing desk system, computer monitor, office chair mat, torchiere floor lamp, vacuum cleaner) from our third-floor apartment with no elevator on a hot summer day. At the loading site, we treated them to cold Gatorades. It took them about 1.5 hours to do the load in Chapel Hill. We left Chapel Hill around roughly 12:30pm. Hamza ran the show. We made it clear which items were to be dropped off first in High Point and which items were going all the way to Atlanta. No issues there. My parents were very happy with Hamza and Sula's work at the unload in High Point. The two made it to Atlanta around 10:00pm and the unload in Atlanta took less than an hour. Long day. My wife and I made it to Atlanta earlier - around 7:30pm. Unlike Hamza and Sula, we did not stop in High Point. We wanted to get to Atlanta before them so we could get the condo ready for the unload. It worked out. Hamza told me they were going to try and drive back to Raleigh/Cary that night! Only one of our items, a shoe rack, was damaged. All things considered, not a big deal so I didn't bring it up. I can remember three other moves I did with three other moving companies and one item was damaged in each move. It happens. For the haul-away, I only mentioned the mattress and box spring. I added on the other items when I saw them in Atlanta. They didn't charge me extra for that, which I appreciate and must mention here. I sent the tips directly and individually to Hamza and Sula for a job well done. As for scheduling and payment, my wife and I communicated with Jaber (a.k.a. Omar), the owner of Safe & Sound Moving Company. Jaber was on top of everything and quick to respond via Yelp messaging, text messaging, and phone calls. Thank you, Jaber, Hamza, and Sula!

Everything had to come off the wood floors from kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, living room, hallway etc. They also moved furniture away from walls in other rooms so trim could be cleaned and then painted. Both men were very conscientous of our belongings and treated them with great care. All furniture, refrigerator and gas stove were carefully placed in our garage. As serious as they were with moving carefully and quickly they both have a friendly & approachable demeanor. Answering questions and keeping it light made for an enjoyable experience. I look forward to having them back to move us back in and would easily recommend them for your upcoming move, whether that's to the garage, across town or across the country.

Another great feature to the facility- plenty of bathrooms!

Items were covered with mouse droppings and cockroach droppings. We opened everything in the driveway of our new home because they were infested with roaches.
