I called the day before we needed to move it, and got lucky that they had a cancelation and could squeeze us in with 1 days notice. The unit was heavy and awkward and had to go down some steep stairs into a basement. The movers handled the job professionally and got the machine into the basement with no damage to the machine, the house, or themselves. That was quite an accomplishment!!! If I had one concern about All My Sons it's their failure to clearly communicate pricing and liability limitations. I was told that their minimum charge is 2 hours. It's actually 2 hours plus travel time. And, I wasn't told that their liability limitation is 60 cents per pound. That would have come out to $240 for a $1500 appliance -- definitely not enough to replace the appliance if something had happened. I might not have hired All My Sons if I'd seen this. We got lucky.

I told her to pay me for the items she kept, or ship them to me. She promised to ship them. Never happened. Use this mover at your own risk. She is an amateur who oversold and under-delivered.

Sam showed up with extra people, walked through the house to come up with a plan, and executed flawlessly. I am surprised at some of the negative reviews - perhaps the expectations were not aligned? For example, given the additional people needed, of course our final price was above the initial one...but that should not have been surprising, and any misalignment was completely allayed by a brief conversation. The owner was one of the men and he hardly did anything. There was one young guy who was the only real mover. The other man, although polite, was quite old and huffing and puffing. They ended up breaking a piece off of my mother's dresser. Of course they said it was there. I feel they took advantage of me as a single woman. When they were there, he charged me more money to take the furniture up the front steps because he said, "I didn't know there would be steps" They did not stay the full 3 hours and charged me $1,800. A complete RIP-OFF. AVOID! I've used other moving companies and never had this issue. Thieves in my opinion.

Everything is "can do" including very last minute packing help. Two huge trucks and 6 guys over 3 days. Michelle who runs the office is so pleasant to deal with and John the owner and both Scotts so engaging, fun, and respectful of women. The superstar (well, they all are) is James who ran the move seamlessly, as usual. At the end, I would gladly have all of them over for dinner. The crew was just superb.
