Just need to say what an amazing and honest business owner! My daughter dropped her airpods outside of dance next door. Lauri held on to them for us and made sure we got them back. I would definitely recommend based on the fact that good, honest human beings are so far and few between today. HORRIBLE!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! I went this there morning with my bernese. This was my first time taking him here. When I made the appointment no one said I have to walk him in with a leash and that they get crated. The other place I went to does not require a leash so this was just an innocent mistake. The owner was so rude to me in regards to the leash. Her tone and approach was so disgusting. Then she was made because I do not crate my dog and she came back out with him and said " this is not going to work". But I mean she was yelling and so nasty. She then basically started shooing me out the door while she continued to say "lady you have no idea" and who knows what else because at that point I tuned her out as it was evident the problem was all her. I walked to my car and she is at the door outside still yelling at me. After reading her reviews I am glad this happened. I have not been on yelp in years so I did not think to check the reviews. Best groomer around! I've been taking my dogs here for years. My current dog is a rescue dog and wasn't very social at first. I've been working with him and he's come along way. With that said, he gets groomed once a month. He has always been well taken care of at Express Your Pet. Happy when he goes in and happy when he leaves. It's a great feeling when you don't have to worry about your dog in someone else's hands for a few hours. Plus, the shampoo and cut always makes him look great! read more

I have been bringing my golden doodle here for the last 6 years. I have not ever had an issue with this place of business. They are always kind and courteous to me. They always tell me if my dogs hair has matts. They will do their best to get them out. If they cannot. They will shave the area. I can't understand some of these reviews on here. My dog always looks beautiful when I pick him up. I have been in the back where they groom these dogs. It is always clean. Wonderful staff! read more

I picked Express your Pet because it was close to my work. Every time I would pick my dog up, there was ALWAYS something wrong. Limping, nicks, cuts, nails too short that bleed. I was naive when they gave me excuses of why it happened. I finally decided to go a little further down the road to a different groomer! OMG what a difference when I picked my dog up!!! Express your pet was recommended by a client of mine who has been bringing her beloved dog there for many years and raved about Laurie and her staff, and she's picky. I have a few Persian cats that need a lot of attention when it comes to grooming. I tried a few places locally who butchered their coats, sometime looking even worse when I picked them up. I have been so pleased with how they took care of my cats, they are not easy to groom. I drop them off in the morning and I pick them up by lunch every 2 weeks. I have now been a customer for about 2 years and I have no complaints. read more

We brought our King Charles here a few months back and had a mixed experience. When I walked in, the woman that greeted us neither acknowledged the dog or did anything to make the dog feel welcomed or at ease. Most places you walk in to are all too happy to make a fuss over the dog and bend down to pet or play with them for a minute or two. Not here. It was all business. Then she abruptly took the dog away. When I left, I was uneasy. When we picked the dog up, she let me know that the dog was not well behaved and was quite nippy. My dog has never nipped or even growled at anyone. She is a very passive and loving animal with no signs of aggression toward a person or even another animal. If she was nippy (which I doubt she was), it makes me wonder why. As far as the grooming goes, it was perfect. She looked adorable and was very well groomed. I would have loved to take her back to the groomer, but I am very ill at ease with the treatment of the animals when I wasn't there. read more

I've been bringing both my cat and dog to express your pet for daycare, boarding and grooming for years. They have been nothing but professional and take great care of my fur babies. It's very easy to get an appointment and they have often squeezed me in when they are busy. Just last week they squeezed me in when my dog got sprayed by a skunk. They go out of their way to give a great experience for both the owner and pet. My four dogs love going and always leave looking fabulous. Owning French Bulldogs I wouldn't trust them to just anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my dog here to be groomed, and she was hurt when she was under their care from their grooming procedure. My poor pup had to be brought to the veterinarian. She has to be on antibiotics and pain medication, and I had to pay well over $100 in vet bills and prescriptions. I went to talk to the owner after going to the vet. She was very rude, telling me that we are too demanding with our grooming request! If I'm paying you to groom my pet, yes I expect my pet to be groomed the way I want. If you are unable then tell me you can't do it. The owner was slanderous towards my girlfriend who wasn't even with me! Any responsible, caring business owner would have taken responsibility of the unfortunate mistake, however she would not own up to her error that caused my pet so much suffering. The owner promised me she would call me in the next couple days to make this bad situation right. I never received a call. So I wrote a letter to her and sent it Certified mail so I could make sure she received it. Nothing mean, nothing rude, just a request for her to take responsibility for hurting my dog, and to call me. She wouldn't even accept the letter. It was refused and returned to the post office. I cannot believe how awful this experience was! For me and my poor dog! If you care and love your pet, NEVER go here! read more

do not bring your pet to express your pet in rocky Hill CT to be groomed. we brought our dog in to be groomed. that night she started whining and running around the house. she got a serious infection in her vulva due to the negligence of the groomer. she had to go to the vet. the dog was put on opioid pain meds and antibiotics. when it was brought go laurie's attention she basically didn't offer to pay the vet bill or offer any option. she didn't care. we sent a certified letter to the business and the letter was refused to be signed for. beware!!!!!!!!!!! read more

This place is awful. The workers are rude and treat the dogs awful. The place is dirty and not fit for animals. It seems like a sketchy place and I didn't feel comfortable leaving my pet their alone. This place is not friendly and I will never be returning. I would highly recommend going somewhere else!!!! Wish I could give it no stars. read more
