Not only were they able to get me in within minutes of me calling, but they took such good care of my puppy and made him look so handsome in a matter of 1.5 hours. I had my 3 year old Shitzu Terrier groomed here. I found them using Yelp. I wanted to go with someone that was local instead of a Petco or one of these franchised places. My dog is very anxious with strangers and I'm very careful with who I leave her with. I've never had her professionally groomed. I called and made an appointment and they got me in the same day. The owner/manager took her time to meet with my dog and slowly gained her confidence. I left her there for a few hours she received a bathe, haircut, anal glands cleaned, and did her nails. She looked phenomenal! The people there are super helpful. I was surprised that the store was as big as it was. It doesn't look like it from the front but it actually stretches back quite a bit. They answered all my questions about what type of food was good. The owner is a very knowledgeable person she went out of her way and gave us a trial of this all natural food they get without being pushy. Without a doubt I plan on bringing my dogs back here. Surprisely the pricing for their items are very comparable with the big chain pet stores. I really appreciate the people who work there being so attentive and willing to answer any and all questions. My dog is about 25 lbs and with a few extra bones and some baked goodies for them I left paying less than 55 bucks. Super reasonable for everything they did. read more

I have an Australian Shepherd that I brought in for a full groom and bath. When I picked him up, I could feel scratches and scabs all across his back and blood on my hands from petting him. When the owner was questioned, the explanation I got was that the groomer was attempting to thin his undercoat with a wire brush and went too far. He had ripped the entire undercoat out and continued with the wire brush on my dog's skin, scraping almost his entire back. He was covered completely in scabs for weeks, had to go to the vet, and the only response from the owner was that he would discount our next visit. While I am understanding that things happen, this was a completely unprofessional way to handle something so serious. I appreciate that the shop owned up to their mistakes but I will not return to a place so completely careless with my dog. read more

Very friendly staff up front, but not happy with the groom our dog received the last two times we went. Our puppy's hair has come out very uneven, twice In a row now. Aside from this, you do not have the ability to watch them work. All you can hear is unhappy puppies in the back room they close you off from. read more

I've been taking my Lab to The Pet Spa for over 5 years and I can honestly say they are wonderful to my dog. As she has aged, now 12 years old, her eye sight has been compromised with cataracts and the Pet Spa's employees continue to be focused on her care from when I drop her off until I pick her up. We brought our dog there for approximately 3 years. Whenever we had brought her there she would shake like a leaf, normal for a dog going to the groomer, that's what I thought. I was always suspicious that you weren't allowed to see the grooming area. Not to mention that your dog had to stay there for at least 6 hours before she was ready. Plus I always found Kathy to be rude, not only to me as a customer but particularly to her employees. I had witnessed that on more than one occasion. We have since changed groomers ( we now go to one in Berlin) and there is no more shaking when we drop her off, which we find interesting. We can also get a two hour appointment which, in itself, is less stressful for your dog. read more

I would not recommend the Pet Spa. The groomer was rude and condescending not only to me but to her employee right in front of me. I described exactly what I wanted done, and when my dog came out, it looked not even close to how I described. Considering the way the groomer treated me and her employee, I was left feeling uneasy about the way my dog was possibly treated behind the scenes. While he came out smelling great, I would never ever return here. read more

I had been searching all over for a place that would trim my crazy vizsla's nails... He HATES having anyone touch his feet and gets pretty aggressive about it. Plenty of other groomers and even our vet couldn't do it and said he would have to be sedated every time he needed a trim, which is ridiculous and of course expensive. I was at my wits end and about to give up when a friend recommended the Pet Spa and they are able to trim his nails no problem in about 5 minutes! It's a huge relief to have found them. Super nice people who care for the customer and my dog and are great at what they do. read more

I've been bringing my dogs to the pet spa for over 10 years now. The staff and service are great!! Very knowledgable, courteous, helpful staff. Great grooming job and they now offer a teeth cleaning service for pets which is excellent! I got praised from the vet on how well my dogs teeth looked. It definitely helps their breath too - what a difference!! The retail store has a good variety of things at reasonable prices - most times I find they can even beat the large store prices. This is a great store and groomer - keep up the good work!! read more
