He explained that he lives in California and if I didn't like it or if it didn't fit can he return it. She said yes for an exchange. It was too big for me and he sent it back and they refused to exchange it for another item. He explained what the salesperson told him, but they stated they won't take it back. I believe they will tell you want you want to hear so they can receive their commission. Terrible customer service. The girls working there were rude and unprofessional -- we watched them whispering, glaring, and giving judgmental looks to other customers, which was honestly shocking. How are girls like this, with such negative attitudes, still working and being paid to represent the brand? It's really not that hard to greet people when they walk in, be polite, or at the very least say "thank you" at checkout -- but they don't. They don't acknowledge customers coming in or out. The lack of basic courtesy is glaring. After reading so many other similar reviews, it seems like this is an ongoing issue, and it's disappointing that management hasn't stepped in to make a change. The store has so much potential, but unless the customer service improves, it's not a place we'll want to return to.

I spend a small fortune on clothes and I have been a customer of Anthropologie for many years and I make purchases constantly. I purchased two tops that were a huge disappointment they were at full price, yet the material was awful thin & scratchy and see through also one of the tops wasn't completely sewn it had a huge hole in it at the seam. I had to wait 3 weeks for the inventory to come in for them to ship it to me and I immediately cut off the tags but realized they were awful and 1 was damaged. Returned them to the Westport store the next day after receiving them in the mail. The sales lady was high and almighty saying she would do me the favor just this one time but the tags need to be on for a return. I've been to the Westport store several times. This is a reasonably priced boutique, most items are trendy, some might be more office appropriate. They also sell jewelry, but none of it is sterling silver. They also sell shoes and accessories. This is the type of store where you might find something very similar at a high end retailer. The sales associates are very friendly, personable and love to chat. The store is easy to navigate, fitting rooms are also available. Bobbles & Lace is a small women's store worth checking out.
