Such a horrible company with money-grubbing policies. They incorrectly billed me more than once. The last time they blamed me because I didn't deactivate a transponder immediately after an accident that totalled the car and left me seriously injured. The car was undriveable so how would I even imagine it would be charged toll fees? Maybe the junkyard was towing parts around but they didn't care. WITH ALL THE FALSE CHARGES and time it takes to fight them, I found it was cheaper to cancel my account, not have the transponder and pay the rare license plate toll without any discount. read more

Your automated system is a total piece of crap!!! I was trying to pay my bill and it hung up on me. When I called back and entered my statement number it asked me to repeat it again because it is not able to comprehend numbers on the phone when they are entered. I guess now I have to hope I can reach a live person tomorrow in order to pay my bill. I just hope the call isn't routed to India. read more

Express Toll will continue to bill you with additional fee for an incorrect reading. It took me almost a year with Express Toll Fees fees. Do not buy their transponder as they do not take a picture of you car, only a reading from the transponder. Had they had a picture, it would not shown my car. They have a tactic of assigning super-exorbitant fees for not sending in license plate toll bills on time. I've seen $70 per toll if late on paying license plate bill before (on my personal bill) and other numbers on my father's bill and now my girlfriend's. When I called the first two times they waived the fees and had me just pay the tolls in trade for putting a tag on the vehicle. I just got off the phone and the service representative was unwilling to waive the fees. When I asked to talk to a supervisor she said, "I'll give you a voicemail but I'm telling them not to waive the fees anyways so you'll have to pay them." Especially if you remember that the toll road was promised to be a normal road by 2010, it gets super annoying. They act like a governmental agency but they aren't. It's just a company that wants money. They don't care about people, they just want money. read more

I got my bill stating I got the license plate toll instead of the transponder rate. So I called the support number. If you don't agree to taking their stupid survey, they put you on hold and hang up on you. I finally got through after 4 tries when I agreed to do the survey. The lady helped me out, so I couldn't really give her a bad rating. Their strategy for forcing a survey sucks. read more

This is poor service, you state that the service center is open from 8-5 Monday through Friday but yet calling in or even using the email service no one replies. You say I owe $14.55 but I recall using the express toll for the past 2 weeks. Plus your bill is dated September 15, 2022, it's October 4. ExpressToll has been billing me since 11/2019 for a truck that is registered to my significant other with a completely different last name. They added it to my account unbeknownst to me and without my permission. The license plate charges were co-mingled with my license plate charges so I never noticed until my car was in the shop and charges were still appearing for that car. The truck that was never registered to me was just removed from my account, but nobody in customer service wants to help me get a refund for years of erroneous billing. The supervisors are unavailable when you ask for one and do not return phone calls. read more

My car was stolen and the thieves took the toll road. A month later I received a bill for those tolls (I live locally and never take e-470 as I work from home and never need to go far). After a month of back and forth with "customer service" they said they can't reverse the tolls, even though I have the case number, claim number, case number for the recovery of the plate in a different city on a different stolen car, and everything was reported before the toll timestamps because I need to provide a copy of the whole police report. However, so many vehicles are stolen in CO, that they don't give you a copy, it's a phone call and a case number. I would have to drive to the station, pay to get a copy of the report, and drive back home and that would cost as much as the tolls were. They are extremely unhelpful and continue to take money from people who already lost their car. They're really no better than the thieves at this point. read more

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. It is like because they don't have any competitors they care even less about customer service than everyone else. 1. 45 minute plus hold times on the phone with no option for them to call you when someone is available to assist you 2. Can only pay online if your bill is over $35 3. First time I called I was on hold for 40 minutes, and then a message came on and said we cannot process your call at this time, please call back later 3. Created an account over the phone after driving through CO a year ago, to make sure that they had my correct address and info on file. They lost the information and still sent the bill to the wrong address and I never received it. 4. After driving through again a year later they cannot merge my accounts, or find the original account I called and created with them. Unless downtown Denver is packed with cars it would be worth it to sit in a little bit of traffic to never have to deal with this company. read more

Express Toll uses a flawed automatic billing program. You are unable to pay the tolls on the actual roads, you are forced into their billing program by nature of your DMV registration. I received a bill already passed my due date with a late fee. While trying to call to challenge this, they asked that I prove I never received it... not sure how?? read more

Honestly, I'm guilty of not waking up early enough and just taking the regular highway and instead I feel so high end and I think to myself, "Why not take the toll?" It saves so much time in the morning, when you need to get from A to B. This is the best alternative to dealing with traffic. E-470 is amazing and I've never had an issue paying my toll bill, and the customer service is very easy-going and they never give me an issue. I had just spoke to a nice girl yesterday about signing up for the toll pass and she says it's a prepaid toll method, so it's $35.00 worth of tolls and once you go below $10.00, you just reload it and you use the toll no matter how much. There is no monthly fee, or annual fee. The toll roads itself do grant you some feeling of freedom. There is a slow lane and literally everyone understands if you need to pass them and will signal to the right shoulder and let you pass. That's why I also love taking the toll and working with E-470. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Representatives Repeatedly tell you that you're wrong. When you ask for an explanation they get offended and upset that they have to do their job?? Overall I feel this organization is very depressing and has a lack of leadership or any sort of overhead really. Nothing is a big deal unless you're working with the express toll. read more

I have had several phone calls over the years with them and also use the online account service. I have had nothing but helpful representatives and positive experiences on the toll roads in Colorado. What a joke of a service? Should been under investigation for fraud. I receive statements a few days before due date. Pay the total through their automated system, and then receive a late charge. This happens after paying the total due. These organization sends statements just a few days before the due date. If you are not prepared to pay within a few days, then a late charge is added, but not told to you until after you pay. Customer service reps are rude and don't care about doing what is right, only about collecting money. Avoid the toll road if you want to avoid problems. read more
