Several things went wrong with this job, and the cheaper price was not worth the aggravation; plus I have to pay more than what I saved on quartz to make the repairs. And some are not repairable. When they arrived, their vacuum was not working. But they cut out the stovetop and the hole for the faucet inside; which could have been done outside. It is 9 months later and still finding quartz dust throughout the house. The breakfast bar did not have the correct edge, so they took it back to have it corrected. The hole for the faucet was put in too far back and a little off center. Realizing the hole was too far back, away from the sink, he made the hole again, so it is too big and sort of like a hole next to a hole. The breakfast bar was then right up against the faucet, which limits your choice of faucet. They came back and moved the breakfast bar forward, but then the cut edge on the side, is not correct to the wall, leaving a gap filled with caulk. A plumber has been here 4 times as the faucet leaks around the outside at the base even with silicone around it. Because the hole is not the right size. I had huge holes left where they put in the dry sink countertop and my sliding glass door blinds were broken. (part of the contract is they are not responsible for a gauge). These were massive holes. They were not going to level the dry sink top until I called it to their attention. They used a lot of shims. It is still not level. The big things I am left with are water under the sink; a gap between the wall and the breakfast bar filled with caulk, the wrong edge was put on the dry sink area. A professional company would at least replace my sink countertop and get the faucet hole correct. I have never given a bad review and am not a perfectionist. But this is unacceptable. read more

I can't say enough about Express Granite. Gary and his team were professional and kind during our entire process. Let me preface by saying this wasn't a typical "let's update our kitchen" remodel. We had only been in our new house for a few months when our under mounted sink failed. It literally dropped out of the existing granite and fell with it full of water. Originally we thought we would just have it repaired, but as we investigated further, we decided getting a new sink and counter was the best option. The reason I point this out is at our first meeting with Gary at Express, we were still unsure of how to best remedy the situation. He never tried to push us one direction or another. He listened and gave us options. He responded over and over to my endless inquiries as to "what if we use this, how much for this stone, what about this option?" patiently and kindly. When we finally made a decision, Gary was upfront as to how far out they were booked and that it would be about 5 weeks. It was worth the wait. Our counters and Blanco sink are in and beautiful. The install team was on time, everything went as promised. We would definitely use Express Granite again. read more

I had a need to redo a kitchen for a house that I am intending to sell. Gregory was Great and able to meet and exceed my expectations. Beginning with our initial conversation, Greg was able to provide References and comparisons of different options. He game me an Understanding of the different variables, and a complete, detailed Timeline of when the new granite would be accurately, Available to be installed. Express Granite made my Life easy and handled measuring without me being there in person. My timeline was to get this project done as soon As Possible. Their turnaround was quick and included installation of a Sink, which was included with the granite countertops. The cabinets that were under the countertops were old, and Express Granite was able to make me a happy customer without having to Replace the custom, 30 year old cabinets. I'm a remodel contractor and I've used express granite on multiple projects. I've always had great results with them. Gary and Greg along with the rest to their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Any issues I've ever had were dealt with promptly and professionally. I think it's a bit unfair to express granite reading some of these negative reviews. They are countertop installers. Not plumbers nor will they reinstall your cabinets correctly for you. If I could give negative stars I would. Among a series of mishaps, I ended up with an uneven countertop, which was explained to me as uneven cabinets. But they don't want me to be unhappy, so they will gladly come back out, rip out the countertop, let me get the cabinets fixed and then reinstall....with a charge of course. Me: why didn't someone mention this was an issue before finalizing the installation? As a matter of fact if I hadn't asked the guy "why does this look crooked?" It would have never been mentioned. Sales guy says something like well, I don't know the situation, and we can't change what happened in the past. Me: "uhhhh....ok?" Next issue....plumber comes to reinstall all of the sink/garbage disposal components....Plumber: where's all the parts to install your garbage disposal? Me: ????? I call Express to which they tell me that they usually take that stuff with them unless the customer asks them not to. Me: ???? I'm sorry....how in the world should I have known to ask to keep that??? But Express does offer to send his guys out with the parts. Well, you see I have the plumber here now and he can't wait 30-45 minutes for you to show up with a part you should have never taken, so you should just pay for the cost for me to install new parts (which is around $90). I was told that was not an option and that he wasn't going to pay for new ones when he has the old ones he can bring me. Me: ok, but you see I had to take off work today to get this plumber out here and I would have to take off another day to get the plumber back out here, which is more than $90, so I think you should just pay for the part. Nope. So, here I am with uneven countertops, and out an extra $90.....but according to Express I had "options", so I shouldn't be unhappy. read more

Stopped to get an estimate and was told by the owner they preferred to measure and give you a complete price. Came out quickly and gave me a price that was about $400 higher than another bid I had but thought it was nice to have it all done. I went back to the shop to sign the contract and pick out the slap Templater came to the house and measured more carefully for the template. Showed me where the single seam would be. I had to sign off on the template. They got a quick install date before I was to have weekend company. Installers arrived 2 hours late. The slab had been cut with 2 seams instead of the agreed 1. Backsplash didn't fit and they did not have the equipment to adjust on site. It was not installed for 4 days. Then they told me they were ready to leave and the plumbing had not been reconnected. They then told me they didn't do plumbing and it was in the contract. It was NOT in the contract. I got someone to go it at the last minute but it was a real hassle. I don't get upset about much but I had 14 people coming for the weekend an they left me without water, disposal and backsplash. And the slab was not cut as I was told. The owner and his son were very rude and condescending and I would recommend you avoid this vendor. There are other businesses that know how to work with a customer and it's not these guys. I did get $200 back to compensate me for the plumbing but it doesn't compensated for the stress and tears. AVOID!!! read more

Unfortunately I had the experience of working with the owner Gary. I have never been more dissatisfied in my life. I looked at only one piece of granite, I was quoted a price and ordered it. I was installed the WRONG countertop. I picked out a dark piece, and was installed a white/grey. When I called in, I was hit with nothing but defensive remarks and how it was "my fault." My sink has fallen out 2 times in six months. They took a month to do a basic install because they cut the pieces wrong several times. They damaged my walls and brand new cabinets in the process. They will not respond to the sink falling out again and the water damage to my floor and cabinets and plumbing. Horrible company. STEER CLEAR. read more

I had marble countertops fabricated and installed by Express Granite. They were very thorough in explaining the pros and cons of marble and helped me choose a stone to suit my needs while offering a very competitive price. The countertops were installed beautifully and in a timely manner. This is all standard, in my opinion. What sets Express apart is their outstanding customer service. The owner himself, Gary, came out to measure my kitchen just hours after I called for an estimate. There were a few hiccups with the stone supplier (through no fault of Express') and Livia went out of her way to pull some strings and get everything squared away to keep my installation timeline on track. When the installers came, they talked to me about the translucency of my particular stone and showed my how to light it from underneath if I chose to. I couldn't be happier with any aspect of their business! They truly take pride in everything they do, and do it well. I highly recommend them. read more

Horrible Customer Service!!! I would not recommend Express Granite to anyone. We used them for our Granite Countertop. They came out and installed fairly quickly but we found scratches on it right away. We let them know about the scratches and they sent out a tech to repair 2 weeks later. The tech was not skilled and couldn't get them out. After several weeks had gone by I reached out to my rep there and was not getting responses. It took them over 2 months from the time we let them know that there were scratches on it to when it was fixed. I spoke with the owner and he was very rude and condescending. I was told that my problem was not life or death, which I believe is true but POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS STILL POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

They measured our project in early April and told us not to change anything. Our new cabinets were bare, nothing on them to skew the measurements. When they installed a month later they told us that our cabinets were not level and would require a shim or two. Well, a shim or two is an inch and a half at one end. My expensive piece of stone is sitting atop three shims glued in place. If they would have told me I was unlevel when they templated in early April I could have had them leveled. I spoke with Gary at Granite Express and he says that it is my problem. The only accomodation he will make is to charge me $400.00 to remove the stone but only if I sign a waiver that if they break the counter top it is my problem. This would not have been a problem from the get go if his employee had told us to level our cabinets. I even had a contractor on site while they were installing and he could have fixed the problem on the spot if they had allowed it. All it would have taken at that time was loosening a screw or two and shimming the bottom of the cabinet. Now, it is incredibly ugly and not secure. read more
