Let me say that we had two jobs done by them. A bathroom in which they overran on cost and budget but I didn't observe them very closely and felt that the room was in pretty bad shape to start so I let it go. We decided to go ahead with them for a kitchen, even though they were the MOST expensive bid in the area, didn't seem to far off. This time I observed them closely they overran schedule and they overran budget. The contractors (K-Build) were argumentative and as I observed them I really became concerned. They suggested connecting aluminum wire to copper only outlets with only the use of anti-oxidant, they improperly troubleshot a problem with the under-cabinet lighting and instead of replacing the lights, which was the obvious fix, insisted on running a complete new circuit! COSMETICALLY the kitchen looks nice, but the underlying workmanship and quality that is hidden by trim , etc. is really in doubt. Their computation of hours is completely off the wall charging 15 hours one day and 12 another when they never worked more than 8 in any day, as I was there because after the second day it became apparent that they needed to be observed closely.
One of the reasons we chose them was because of the fish emblem display, all I can say for that is BUYER BEWARE.
Like I said COSMETICALLY on the surface the kitchen does look nice but..... Make your own decision but I would highly recommend that you place St, Charles Kitchen and Bath and K-Build at the very bottom of your list for any future projects. Again I can understand people giving good reviews if they weren't closely watching at each stage, and because they talk a good talk, they certainly do not walk the walk, in my opinion read more
