In 2019, I called Steve and he came by to give me a bid which I thought was fair. I was having the entire outside of a Victorian 4 color house painted so lots of decisions to be made. I figured I would be looking at these colors for the next 20 years so I had better like them! Steve was super professional and patient with my 22 paint samples and a couple of changes along the way. He did a great job, a lot of attention to detail and was very communicative. My neighbors even commented on how great he was to work with as well. Steve had to access their yard to paint a portion of the home. He worked around their schedule, as one of my neighbors works from home and didn't want noise during certain hours. I would absolutely hire Steve again and recommend him to anyone needing their home painted!

When they encountered dry rot (and it was unfortunately widespread--out here in the Ingleside, we have to paint more frequently), they pointed it out, including up on the roof, updated the invoice, and fixed it. Rafael was great at communicating throughout and flexible, taking the time needed to get the work done right; he worked to ensure that the crew were neat; and when the crew missed something, he followed up to ensure it was fixed. He even threw in some caulking where it was needed around the kitchen sink. The job wasn't cheap, but the price was fair. I would definitely hire Rafael and the crew again.

They did a great job with power washing before painting which is an important part of the prep to make the paint job lasts longer. They were efficient (took about 1 week to finish the job; only came to work on the house weekdays 8-4:30ish) and addressed every concern we had with some wood rot that needed to be replaced. Jose was responsive and sent updates along the way. He showed up when he said he was going to and was able to get started on our home within about a week after coming by in person to give a price estimate. Looks like they might also do other contracting work or at least cabinets so I may reach out again for that. Otherwise, I would recommend him for painting. He is an honest guy with fair pricing and does a great job.

The required lead warning signs were not posted even though I requested that he do so at least 5 times and although he did produce one he didn't put it up. I finally went to the permit office, obtained one and put it up myself. He was contracted to paint the 4 story left wall of my building. the contract called for the wall to be prepped by scraping, sanding and caulking. There were to be two coats of oil-based primer and two coats of semi-gloss latex paint. He did not even attempt to properly prep the wall and to this day it is not painted. Jerome's son and another of his workers attempted to power wash the siding but either the machine was defective or they didn't know what they were doing or both. They created quite a mess. They gave up trying after about an hour. I was left to clean up the mess which had flowed onto my neighbor's property and exposed me to fines and a possible lawsuit. The top 1/4 of the wall was totally exposed to the elements and not protected by my neighbor's building. I don't think it had been painted in about 50 years. The paint was loose and powdery. It wouldn't have taken much to remove it. But, Jerome had the powdery paint sprayed with primer which made it incredibly difficult to remove. he refused to do so and I had to scrape it off myself. My dark green semi-gloss stairs were sprayed with grey primer and then partially painted a lighted matte green. the stairs are around the corner from the wall and attached to the back of my building. How they oversprayed them I don't know. I do know that they didn't care where the spay went. The window glass was sprayed with primer. The windows were painted shut and still are. There were approximately 12 pieces of gingerbread that were dislodged from the facade and never replaced. he refused to even discuss replacing them although I had found some pieces in my side and back yards which I handed to his son. When I asked him what he had done with them, he just stared at me as if I was speaking Mongolian. He is surly, rude and an incompetent liability. The scaffolding stayed up for at least 4 months until my neighbors began to complain and even though the job was nowhere near finished the scaffolding had to be removed. Before it was removed I went onto the scaffold and scraped, caulked, primed and painted 1/4 of the wall myself. The difference between the 1/4 that was done correctly and the 3/4 that he tried to pass off as completed is obvious. 3/4 of the wall was not scraped, or sanded or painted. It was and is only coated with one coat of primer. Yes, he was paid because he constantly complained about meeting his payroll. He might give you a low quote but you'll get what you pay for, maybe. In my case I didn't.
