Luis painted our house and did a quality job. It was a complicated project and included a 3 story wall in the back of the house. His crew were very efficient and neat. He had to work around the carpenters, but that did not create a problem. I certainly would use them again; they partially painted our house 6 years ago. read more

Luis painted 4 rooms in our home and we were very pleased with his work. The workmanship was superb and attention to detail was more than expected. We highly recommend Divas Painting! read more

Project is going great so far.  Luis had some great suggestions to make the paint last longer and look better.  He's also doing some additional work that will make my rental unit look even better. [Update: Luis has now finished the entire interior of our 3 BR flat and also most of the exterior of the 2 unit building. Very happy with the work and with Luis' attention to detail and his willingness to make things perfect. He also had a cleaner come in twice to clean the entire place.] Still 5 stars. read more

So far Divas painters are doing a great job at my home. They are in the middle of the project but I've been impressed with their clear communication and responsiveness to questions. read more

Luis Divas and his crew painted the interior of my home including my kitchen cabinets. My home looks updated and my kitchen looks brand new! He did a professional and clean job and I appreciate the attention to detail he provided. This is the second time he has done some work for me and I appreciate having someone I can trust in my home. I highly recommend Divas Painting. read more

I chose Divas Painting for my larger 3,000 sf house painting project because they had done such a great job on my smaller condo kitchen project last fall. Luis Divas is thorough, friendly, fair, meticulous, reasonable and honest. It is all about the prep (masking, protecting, stripping, sanding, priming, etc.) and Luis is a master at it. When he finishes cabinets and you run your hand across it, it feels like sleek, smooth plastic. When unexpected issues arise, as they always do on larger projects, Luis is very professional and fair at reaching compromises. In addition to painting, he put up crown molding, textured walls, stripped paint off hardware, repaired stucco, and power washed the exterior. I was very happy the first time I used Luis, and am even happier now. I absolutely recommend Luis Divas and Divas Painting. read more

I second all the wonderful things said here about Luis Divas. We hired him based on these reviews and are so glad that we did. Luis got back to us right away, gave us a very reasonable bid and did everything that he said he would. He is fast, neat, paid attention to the details and was a pleasure to work with. read more

We hired them to paint the walls, ceiling, and trim of our living/dining room and bedroom with vaulted ceilings. They did a great job overall. However, they did not remove all outlet covers to paint behind, and in a couple of small places, the paint is chipping minimally after only two weeks. With that said, he charged us a fair price for the work, got the job done quickly and efficiently, and we're happy with our newly painted home. read more

I make my living as a handyman and I get all kinds of jobs, big and small. When I need a painter, I call Luis. He hasn't let me down.

Luis is a fabulous painter. He was a pleasure to interact with professionally as well as personally having him around our house on a daily basis. The cost was very reasonable, especially given the level of detail of his work. Like an artist, he seems to take great pride in doing a meticulous job. He helped us with choosing a paint brand and was able to get us a fairly steep discount on the paint. He connected us with an superb handyman who did some of the more serious repairs/prep work that needed to be done prior to painting. We would rehire him in a flash. In fact, we are going to have him do our interior painting job later this year. We highly recommend Divas Painting for your painting needs. read more

Luis is a complete pro, friendly, does excellent work at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend him and his team. read more

We had Luis here recently to remove, then install new baseboards in our den and guestroom. This was part two of our "baseboard project." Luis did such a fantastic job there was no doubt that we'd hire him again after he installed prior baseboards. Then, he and Santos painted the walls and trim. Very nice! They arrived punctually and cleaned up after the job was done each day. One thing that I failed to do was to request explicitly that Luis paint the baseboards in a small bathroom, Only one portion of the baseboards was done; no fault of Luis. I wasn't clear enough with my instructions. I I wholeheartedly recommend Divas Painting. They're a pleasure to work with. read more

Luis was quick to come over and give us an estimate. It was very knowledgeable and it was a fair price. His prep was outstanding - a friend manages a paint store and told us that Luis was doing great work, but we knew that ourselves. Luis replaced a couple of steps on our outside stairs. He was patient as it took us a little time to decide on a color, and helpful in recommending the type of paint to be used. His painting was as good as the prep and he went out of his way to make sure we were happy. We are. read more

Luis did such a wonderful job painting the interior of my house I just had to write a review for him! When Luis came to give me an estimate for painting, I immediately liked him and knew he was the painter for me. He was very straightforward and gave me a extremely fair price on the painting. He was able to start the job immediately when I explained I was under a time constraint, and his team did an excellent and professional job painting. Luis even recommended a color for my master bedroom, as I was unsure what color to paint it, and I absolutely adore the paint color he recommended! His team worked from 8 am until 7:30 pm until the job was finished perfectly. Please use Luis for your painting, as he is kind, fair, and a highly skilled painter. You will not regret it!!!!! read more

Luis and his team painted the interior of our home with vaulted ceilings, and painted our cabinets from a maple color to white. They did an excellent job, and their prices were very reasonable. On top of it, they were nice, professional, and did the job within a week. Their work is great. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking to paint their home. Thank you Divas Painting! read more

Luis Divas Painting has been wonderful to work with. Luis is professional and hard working and really knows his stuff. In addition to painting, Luis and his crew laid bamboo and engineered wood flooring for us, added crown molding and baseboards and built some shelves. He impressed us with his preparation process, covering and moving anything that would be in contact with paint or sawdust. He has stayed on our job from the beginning, instead of juggling ours and another job simultaneously. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed with his work. read more

First time I hired Luis Divas and I am so glad I did. He was prompt with his estimate, prompt with scheduling the work, gave a fair price, did a great job and completed the job very fast. He was very easy to work with. Best contractor I have worked with for a long time. Had tried others who either never called back or if they did, gave ridiculous estimates with ridiculous schedules. They should all learn from Luis on how to be professional. Thank you Luis! read more

I have had Luis do work at my house over the last several years. I have recommended him to my friends but I don't know what happened. This time he asked a more than 50% deposit which I have paid and less than 50% of the work has been done. It seems he has overbooked himself or overextend his cash flow. His work has always been good but I have been a loyal customer and I feel I am being cheated. I don't see any recent reviews which tells me folks don't have good things to say because I know he is busy. I just want my job finished. The job was finished and the work was good - as usual - but I had to push to get every step scheduled. This is not the service I am used to from Luis and just FYI - it is against the law in California to ask for more than 10% as a down payment up to a maximum of $1000.00 read more

Excellent work & a good price. I had them paint my exterior including replacing a lot of dry-rotted trim & fascia boards. My paint was in bad shape with lots of peeling & flaking so they spend a week just with the prep work. They came when they said they would & worked hard all day. The results were great. Don't be put off by the lack of a detailed quote (basically I got a short email & a hand shake)...they and their work is very professional. read more

Love these guys! They painted the outside, some inside, moved LOTS of furniture, replaced baseboards. I liked them so much I had them paint the rest of the house too. They were quiet, hard-working, perfectionist, left the place spotless, and the work is beautiful. All at a very reasonable price. read more

Divas Painting was recommended to me by word of mouth, very important to me. I reviewed the YELP reviews before contacting Luis for an estimate and decided they were the painters for me. Luis and his crew of Oscar and Donny were always prompt, responsive, professional, easy to work with, and hard-working. They arrived when expected. They cleaned up after their work each day. Initially, I wanted only four rooms to be painted. I was impressed with the refacing of my kitchen cabinets and asked them to come back to paint the remainder of the house. They were always accommodating. Next on my to-do list is painting the outside of the house. I now have a reliable painting company to work with. I highly recommend this company for any painting needs. Thank you, Luis, Oscar and Donny! read more

My review got a little lengthy because Luis is just too awesome. If you don't feel like reading it, here's what you need to know: * Luis is a consummate professional - super friendly and totally trustworthy * He is an incredible painter, knows his stuff, and cares deeply about his work * His rates are insanely reasonable (like beyond - please tip him - he's not expecting one at all, but I think you should) * He was super sweet to my dog - even played with him (he's just a really good guy) First, let me say that I am writing my first yelp review ever because I am so impressed by Luis and his work! I hired him after seeing the incredible job he and his team did on my sister and brother-in-law's home, particularly their kitchen cabinets. He quoted them half the price of other painters, and the work was absolutely beautiful. I recently had my home completely remodeled after suffering a flood/mold loss. I loved how everything turned out except for my master bath. I have brand new gray tile floors and a white vanity with gray countertop. I was so overwhelmed by all the decisions that came with my sudden and complete renovation that I had the bathroom painted the same neutral beige color I painted most of the house. It didn't work with the gray fixtures at all. I lived with it for a few months and finally couldn't stand it any longer and contacted Luis. He was able to come out to give me a quote early the next week in the evening, which was convenient since I didn't have to take time off work to meet with him. He gave me a quote that was half what I was expecting, and was able to come paint the very next day. He also made a recommendation on the sheen (it was originally a semi-gloss and he said I should do a satin - he was so right), and I should mention that he is so incredibly friendly and personable, I had no qualms about having him here working by himself while I was at work. He was able to squeeze me in so quickly that I kind of rushed into a color. When it was done, the work was perfect but I wasn't sure about the color. I lived with it for a day and texted him to let me know I needed to change it. He came on a Saturday to repaint. He cares so much about his work that he wasn't going to charge me! I practically had to force him to take a check - he came on a Saturday to fix my mistake, not his, and painted all over again - I was going to pay him! He just said he wants his clients to be happy. Long story long, I may have changed the color one more time (who knew grays were so freaking difficult!) and I am now completely obsessed with my bathroom! Luis was so patient and accommodating with me, and I could see that he was genuinely happy when I was so happy with my bathroom color. Luis is an absolute delight to work with, and he is a very talented painter. And he seriously could be charging twice what he does! It should also be noted that he is available for handyman work and hauling. Hire this man! I look forward to working with him again. Thank you, Luis! You're the best! read more

Luis did a superb job of repairing and refinishing our exterior stairs and three decks under very difficult conditions. We were under a tight deadline because we had an appraisal scheduled for a mortgage refinancing and we wanted the place to look really sharp. We have an unbelievable number of stairs going up to the house and then even more leading out to the back patio. As it happened, temperatures that week were the highest of the year, reaching the high nineties. The job called for constant running up and down the stairs, but Luis and his very helpful assistant weren't phased in the least. There were several sections of rotted wood that need to be replaced, and Luiz demonstrated his considerable carpentry skills while saving the existing structure. Another contractor who bid on the work was going to charge us six times Luis' estimate to replace everything, which would have been totally unnecessary. The final refinishing was a work of art -- Luis insisted on applying up to three coats in spots, without going over budget. The place just glowed when the appraiser walked up all those stairs a week later. Luiz had a big role in making that happen. We'd hire him again in a New York minute. read more

Divas painting is awesome! Luis, the owner, and his crew did a great job painting the exterior of our house. He actually answered the phone and returned calls within a day! Very professional and fair price. read more

It's all been said but I have to give a shout out for Luis Divas and his great team. Luis runs his business professionally and is a delight to work with. The painting team, Donny and Alexis in our case, did meticulous meticulously and I was impressed with how clean they left the rooms each day. 5 Stars for sure! read more

You can't ask for a finer painter than Luis. His work is top quality: from prepping the house, identifying what needs to be fixed, to the final coat of paint. He is a pleasure to be around - calm, focused energy; reliable and trustworthy. He approaches his work like an artist: attention to detail, color sense, and technique. He accommodated us in terms of a graduation party that we had during the job and coordinating with other contractors working on the house. The final work was outstanding. We will hire him for our interior painting, and recommend him enthusiastically for any painting needs. read more

Luis did a great job repainting the interior or our home. We gave him just one day to do it, a Sunday, and he delivered! He and his team were very good: excellent painters, clean, and thorough. He also stayed late to do a few extra areas that I found needed paint. He will be my first call next time I need a house painter. read more

We hired Luis to paint eaves and overhangs of our three story house and all the railings. He did such a great job we hired him to stain a brand new front door. We also had several holes in the ceiling inside our house from an electrical upgrade and he patched many holes and matched the texture very well. He was always professional and timely and charged very fair prices. We would not hesitate to recommend Luis to anyone. read more

Punctual and pleasant. And we very much appreciated that despite it was after 6pm and he had completed the job (and he had to drive back to the North Bay) he stayed even later because he thought we should reconsider our decision about a ceiling. Louis does an excellent job at painting. He professional, hardworking, and does great work. He is a pleasure to do business with.

Ok, first time ever posting a review ..... I hired Luis for some interior painting based on a recommendation from a friend & oh am I so pleased. He & his crew were the ultimate professionals & extremely respectful & courteous. He completed the job on time & budget & the results are fantastic. I hired Luis to paint the living room, hallway and doors and trim and I could not be happier. Luis and his crew did an awesome job. They were professional, wonderful people and very talented. I am having him back to do the bedrooms soon! His price was good and they finished in less time then I thought it would take. They put everything back, including blinds, outlets and curtain rods. I have had painters in the past, and Divas Painting is by far the best I have ever had! Luis is very nice, and his crew did an outstanding job! Please use him, you will not be sorry! read more

We had Luis & his team to paint spray our doors in his workshop and paint our baseboards. They did a wonderful job. The only comment I have I would prefer clearer communication when the job will be finished when we were quoted estimate. read more

We are so happy we found Luis (based on other great reviews on Yelp)! He did a wonderful job on our bedroom painting project and charged far less than the other painters we received quotes from. He had a large job starting a few days after we met, so he made himself available over the weekend so he could get our job done on time. We were very happy with the quality of his work. Highly recommended! read more

I have a 3BR/2BA rental property and needed the interior to be repainted entirely for a new tenant - all the bedrooms, baths, kitchen, and living areas. Due to a scheduling mishap I ended up with just one week to find a painter and get the job done before the tenants moved in. Luis was terrific - he returned my call the same day, met me at the house the following day, and was able to arrange his crew of painters to come in and get the job done at a very reasonable price. They were juggling other jobs as well but worked long days to make sure my project was completed in time. He also did a great job of sanding and repainting the back deck as well as the concrete walkway. Last but not least, his suggestion to powerwash the exterior was spot on and made a big difference in giving the house a facelift. I was very happy with the work his team did - high quality workmanship, high quality paint, left the house spotless when they were done - I would strongly recommend him! read more

Luis is the best! We found him here on yelp. I interviewed a bunch of other painters and he was by far the most professional and the nicest (which is a bonus!). He put dry wall up to make us a kitchen pantry out of a big closet in our kitchen that we used to keep the furnace in. He then patched up and painted our 2 closets that were filled with big old holes. He worked quickly and efficiently and was super respectful of our baby napping - which he really didn't need to be, but he did anyway! He didn't rush the job which was great, so he patched one day, primed a different day and then painted another day - this way everything had time to dry. He cleaned up each time. We've had painters here before who patch and paint in the same day and end up doing a sloppy job because there's no time for drying in between. Luis even took his shoes off each time he came into the house, even though I told him it wasn't necessary when he was working, considering he had to run back and forth to his truck to get supplies. I highly recommend Luis. read more
