Very unprofessional from beginning to end. This unpleasant experience started when I first tried to call the company to schedule an appointment for a standard pre-employment drug screen. I waited on hold for 40 minutes, following several different menu options to try and get someone on the phone and never once was my call answered. Because I really needed the results to start a new job, I finally decided I would just show up in person. When I arrived, there was already someone inside and I had to wait for about 20 minutes, which is why I had wanted to call to make an appointment in the first place. I was annoyed enough already, but it only got worse. The facility did not appear to be clean. Upon walking in it was very cluttered with papers, boxes and other items, and it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. This could have been from a previous tenant, but very off-putting none the less. The bathroom where I gave my sample was really gross. The sink was very rusted and it just had a very unsanitary appearance. Nothing like other professional places where I've had similar services before. The person who attended me was very creepy and made me uncomfortable. Not wearing gloves and refusing to wear a mask was bad enough, but I was SHOOK when the attendant used the same thermometer used to read my temperature TO READ THE TEMPERATURE OF MY URINE SAMPLE rather than simply using the temperature strip on the side of the sample collection cup. I can't be certain, but I'm willing to bet this would not be considered best practices. When the temperature of my first sample came back 101, the attendant discarded it and made me sit in this dingy office space for 40 minutes while drinking tap water from his gross rusty sink, so I could produce another. All the while, he proceeded to make inappropriate comments such as "I can either play dumb, or not dumb," "whatever you tell me I don't have to repeat to your employer," or my favorite, "you social workers are all the same..." It seems he was insinuating some misconduct on my part which I did not appreciate whatsoever, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE MY SECOND SAMPLE CAME BACK NEGATIVE FOR EVERYTHING I left the place with a very poor impression, but that was only half of my dissatisfaction with the services. I took the test on a Wednesday and I did not get results UNTIL FRIDAY OF THE FOLLOWING WEEK! Granted, the day after my test was Thanksgiving, but that still allows at least 5 business days with no results. And just as before, they were unable to be reached by phone after being on hold for another 40 minutes. This is especially frustrating because I had a new job pending on these results. This poor quality service literally put my life on hold. If you're a company looking for a service to ensure a quick hiring process, or an individual looking for a clean facility to test in for personal reasons...LOOK ELSEWHERE. read more

I have to say this was by far the most run down hole in the wall unsanitary unorganized place I have ever seen. He doesnt wear gloves EVER dealing with urine from random people. Doesnt wear a mask when its MANDATORY to do so. Makes you wait outside. I will for sure be calling the health department and bbb. Not to mention he dumped my sample out due to it being 100 degrees which is the max temperature it can be....and I had been standing outside in the heat and just getting over a cold. Hes a joke. This business is right in Mission Valley and is a small business that is quick and efficient in administering drug tests. I started a new job that required a drug test and they sent me here. I was in and out in about 15 minutes which was a smoking fast time. Previously, I've been sent to locations such as Sharp Rees-Stealy Clinic for a drug test and I had to wait for hours to be seen. Then the technician promptly cut a lot of hair off of me and gave me multiple bald spots! I could tell she wasn't sure of what to do because she asked me where to cut (didn't listen to where I suggested BTW) and then asked if she cut enough! Here I was in and out. Showed identification, filled some paperwork out, gave a urine sample and initial, signed and was on my way! It couldn't be easier. The technicians were also friendly and nice which is always a plus as well. read more

So, I was asked to provide more detail about my experience with Tony and Expert Drug Testing. So here it is... I contracted with Tony to provide drug testing for my employees on an on-going basis. We agreed to a price per test in writing and signed the contract. I come to find out after a few months that Tony had been charging me an inflated price for each test. I guess he assumed that the volume of tests would mask his bait-and-switch price gouging. I called him on it and he tried to explain it away as a bookkeeping error, but then I caught him doing it again a few months later. And to try to get my money back, I would have to hire a lawyer that would cost me a bunch of money... no thanks. Run, don't walk to any other drug testing business. This is a shady, shady, shady business. read more

Took my wife to this place as part of her custody evaluation. First off hard to find. Plain printed sign in window. Watched several women go in first. Each was locked in with the guy Tony. No other staff at all. I went in with my wife.Tony refused to ware a mask as mandated by state. Office was hot, dirty, a dog in office and everything boxed up. Ask tony he stated I got to be ready for Blm. ???? Didn't understand that. Made my wife sign a contract stating she would receive 3 copies of test. Wife requested copies go to Attorney, evaluator and herself. Tony then said no that's not how I do it only the evaluator gets one. Even tho his contract stated other wise we agreed but stated we ask would her attorney about it. Tony flipped out " I know how this goes! Attorneys get involved and I get the shaft! Get out!" Didn't really have trouble finding the building, it's on the right hand side and the Numbers are HUGE so you can't miss the '3435' number! Their usually on the 2nd floor, but because of the remodeling status, their on the 3rd floor. It was a quick and easy urine test. You pay $30, they take cash or credit card. Afterwards they give you a receipt of course and a copy of the information that you filled out before you took the urine test. read more

This kinda work needs a rock solid backbone of structure and consistency as well as the highest levels of consideration and customer service. Expert drug testing is well known with the family court services mediators and judges in San Diego county because it's impossible to cheat on the test with them which is good for proving innocence. The owner makes a note of your hair length in the report and how far back it goes in months. It is also known that larger scale drug testing companies will take any amount of hair and anyone can pass if they just buzz their hair off and leave a millimeter. Expert drug testing will only take your hair if its long enough to go back 3 months. They will also take your nails to go 6 months. They can tell if someone alters their hair to cheat. I came here for a pre-employment drug screening. The wait time was awful and the attendant was rude. He didn't bother to greet me. He was on the phone complaining to the credit card company while he was taking a hair sample of another customer. The same ogre of a human being slammed the door in my face when I knocked on the door to ask for an expected wait time. Mind you, my bladder was about to explode from the copious amounts of water I drank and I was parked in a 30 minute spot. Very polite and professional staff, your greeted with a smile and feel welcome the moment you walk in. one gentleman there went out of his way to help get what i needed done, he offered multiple options to help me out if this doesn't work. I came to the office and there was about a 10 minutes wait because he was helping 2 other people. Two days later they sent the test results via email. I printed out a form for my daughter to take to this place for her CNA reciprocity (BCIA 8016 rev 1/2011). They told her they weren't sure it was the right form and printed out a different one for her (BCII 8016 rev 10/98), filled it out and charged her $69. When she came back I noticed that it wasn't the form I sent her with and that it was sent to the wrong place. I called the California Department of health to make sure I had sent her with the right form (which I had) and I waited online while they helped me fill out the top. My daugher took this form back (BCIA 8016 rev 1/2011)and they charged her another $32 for services. When I called and talked to the Vice President "Tony Holland" he listened intently then asked me to hold on and then put me back on the phone with Ashley W, the employee who printed out the wrong form in the first place. Is that how a manager takes care of complaints....by passing the buck to his employees???? I would think that an employee who does this work day after day would know which is the correct form to fill out for CNA's, RN's, EMT's etc. They should have refunded my daugher the $69, or not charged her for the second submission, or referred her to another agency who knew what they were doing.
