We initially had a bad experience with these guys but we gave them another shot and they did a fantastic job.

Luckily, a friend recommended this wonderful nurse practitioner, who can perform nearly any health-maintenance service one might need, with the imprimature of a doctor as backup. Exams are less stressful, rates are reasonable; she listens well, and takes good notes. Office visits are empathic, fact-finding conversations. How wonderful to be actually taken seriously! How refreshing to not be repeatedly tested for diseases we can't possible have, just because that's the clinic's (or hospital's) standard ($$) procedure. If you've ever had to call and call and call ... and call ... to get your lab results - you need to consider switching health-care providers! And you won't give up quality of care at this small clinic, either. UCSD had misdiagnosed my wife for years; they kept treating her for the wrong condition. They ignored all evidence she presented them that was contrary to their diagnosis. When her test results kept getting worse, not better, UCSD's only answer was ... to increase the dosage! When she told them she was going to stop taking the expensive medicine, since it wasn't helping, they made a note in her medical record, labeling her a "difficult patient" to deal with (in other words, a hysterical, unreasonable person)--virtually guaranteeing that other doctors wouldn't take her seriously, either. Yet on her first visit to Progressive, she was tested for things that UCSD never even considered testing for--and bingo! A new diagnosis, new medicine, and changes in diet have made my wife feel like a whole new woman.

Dr. Judy Rosas has been one of the most thoughtful, accommodating, and attentive medical providers…read moreI have worked with. She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely listens to both what I want from my care and what I know about my own body. What stands out most is her willingness to problem-solve with me rather than expecting me to endure discomfort. I have had hundreds of infusions and have experienced nerve pain from IVs repeatedly. Not one previous doctor or nurse had ever found a way to help with it. Dr. Rosas gave me hand warmers during my infusion, and it took away the nerve pain. After years of being expected to simply tolerate that pain, having someone notice it, care about it, and find a solution was incredibly meaningful. The treatment chair was also too short for me to lie comfortably, so she created a setup that better supported my body. This reflects how she approaches care overall: when something is not working, she listens, believes me, and looks for a solution. Because I have many medication allergies and sensitivities, she also works with a compounding pharmacy to create medication options that I can tolerate. I have already noticed significant improvement in only three weeks of working with her. She is especially patient and compassionate when I am overwhelmed or dysregulated. I do not feel pressured to hide what I am experiencing or push through an appointment in a way that is harmful to me. She makes accommodations with kindness and without making me feel difficult for needing them. I also deeply appreciate that Dr. Rosas wears a mask and that the office is clean. Those details make accessing care feel much safer and more comfortable for me. Dr. Payam Zand has also been very kind and welcoming, and my overall experience with the practice has been extremely positive. Dr. Rosas combines medical knowledge with patience, creativity, compassion, and genuine respect for the person receiving care. She does not just provide treatment; she works to make treatment accessible, tolerable, and individualized. I am incredibly grateful for her care and highly recommend her.

First visit, after having confirmed my scheduled appointment by phone and email the previous day, I arrived and was told they were over-booked for that day, and needed to reschedule. Next visit was meant to last 4 hours. I was there for 7.5! Third visit my lab results couldn't be found, so after the usual wait and administration of the 'brain swab' Covid test, I was told I had to return for a rescheduled visit that week, with an additional, horrible Covid-19 test, and that visit was UNCOMPENSATED. Every visit has included at least an hour wait before being seen, then more waiting in between and after being seen. I would not recommend participating in studies at this location. There seem to be systematic inefficiencies and disorganization. Go to Johns Hopkins, or anywhere else!

They will screen you for a study and since I am doing a vaccination study, the visit where you get the vaccination is a little longer, but they have a conference room with a table and with a TV as well as coffee and snacks. The guy didn't even look up or acknowledge I was standing there until I spoke up and said I needed testing. He didn't even look at me and passed me a clipboard and muttered "sign in" like a TROLL. Then the troll took the clipboard back without looking at me and didn't say a single word. Not even "have a seat" or even one word "thanks" or "ok". Just ignored my existence. I don't even think anyone was even working- it was 12:39 but the back office must've been at lunch because I just sat there forever. When I was finally called back, it was the same TROLL. He made me leave my purse in an empty office with no security whatsoever because I "might have something". Well WTF- why don't you strip search me or have cctv to watch me pee?! There isn't anything in my purse that I couldn't hide in a pocket or hidden on my body. I'd rather not have my iPhone, cash and credit stolen while I'm in the bathroom. They don't bother to provide any kind of wipes like they do at a doctors office. Just gross. Ugh, and as I'm sitting in the car getting ready to pull out, another TROLL bangs his door into my car, gets in and takes off. Never ever ever use this location!!!!
