Pathetic! Go elsewhere for your employment drug testing etc. I walked in and went to the reception window. The guy didn't even look up or acknowledge I was standing there until I spoke up and said I needed testing. He didn't even look at me and passed me a clipboard and muttered "sign in" like a TROLL. Then the troll took the clipboard back without looking at me and didn't say a single word. Not even "have a seat" or even one word "thanks" or "ok". Just ignored my existence. I don't even think anyone was even working- it was 12:39 but the back office must've been at lunch because I just sat there forever. When I was finally called back, it was the same TROLL. He made me leave my purse in an empty office with no security whatsoever because I "might have something". Well WTF- why don't you strip search me or have cctv to watch me pee?! There isn't anything in my purse that I couldn't hide in a pocket or hidden on my body. I'd rather not have my iPhone, cash and credit stolen while I'm in the bathroom. They don't bother to provide any kind of wipes like they do at a doctors office. Just gross. I came in for drug testing and got turned away for some account issue. I came back the next day after the problem was supposedly fixed. I even called to make sure I was good. I drive down showed up just to have them say the alcohol testing technician was at lunch. Then I spoke to the manager who said they were out in the field collecting a post accident test. One of these guys were lying. Anyway. Decided to stay and wait. Watching them turn away more people. One gal said it was her third time here. Another one showed up but was told to leave after second attempt because first time she didn't have her birth certificate and now this time her birth certificate didn't have her married name. These guys are unprofessional, in caring and don't care the least making you wait hours in the waiting room. I would steer clear of this place! read more

I am an active duty sailor stationed here in San Diego, CA. I recently was contacted by a Christine Larson (employee of EMSI) who decided to harrass me for missing my initial appointment with her before cursing at me multiple times through text messages and threatening to diminish my name at my command by going to my Senior Medical officer all while claiming she was a very professional employee. I will be contacting customer service about this issue and filing a formal complaint. NO service member should have to deal with an individial as unprofessional as she was to me. I am commenting with Mario below who rated Christine. I was her house mate for six months recently and we "shared" a house. I put "shared" in parenthesis because it was not shared 50/50 in any sense of the word. She works out of the house and runs AC all day in the hot summer while I am at work, uses electricity all day, yet we split the utilities 50/50. So I basically subsidize her. I kept quiet about this because I knew she worked at home even though before I moved in she told me she was out all day. Not true at all. I caution you to not trust her in anything professional or personally related. She is very self centered. My friend who met her told me she would describe her as a "wackadoodle". That is heresay but true. She is very self centered. She snapped at me several times during these months. She is an alligator rating to bite. Every morning for six months she wakes me up at 0530, 0600, 0630, 0700 etc. I never said a thing because in a house, sometimes there are different hours and one has to expect some kitchen noise. Well last month, there was one morning when I was up before her. I was not even using the microwave, no beeping or anything. I had a cup of yogurt and a banana. Next thing I know she is in the kitchen yelling at me for waking her up, and she is yapping something about we have different hours! Just amazingly self centered and irrational. And many mornings she loads or unloads the dishwasher at 0700 waking me up but she just does what she wants when she wants. One other time I was watching TV in the living room at about 930PM and she came out of her room and said lower the TV. So she is not someone to live with. Another example is that we agreed to give me one shelf in the freezer for my frozen groceries. Shortly thereafter she put my items in a plastic bag, and then filled up the remaining space on the shelf with more of her things! This is one of the four shelves! So sharing? Not in the 50/50 use of the word. Fridge light bulb has been out for two months now. She doesn't have the money to fix that. I won't even go into how the return of the security deposit is going. She is at the moment threatening to break California Law. I will write back later on how that plays out. So don't let her smile fool you. She works in sales and puts up a good fron. read more

Review based on telephone contact only as phlebotomist called at 1pm to inform me that he would be late arriving for a 2pm appointment because his car was still in the repair shop. He asked me to wait until 4pm. I replied 'yes' - if could he guarantee a no later than 4pm arrival. He balked at any assurance that he'd be on time. I suggested that EMSI call me to reschedule. Here's the hoot: EMSI called back a day and a half later, said the guy for my area still had no vehicle! And, would I agree to wait until his vehicle was repaired! Nope. read more

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. My insurance company contracted them to complete lab work for me back in March. They canceled my appointment so I called to reschedule. Every time I called (mornings and afternoons), the automatic answering system would cycle and repeat itself, but I was never able to speak to a representative or even leave a voicemail. I finally was able to schedule an appointment in April. They canceled my appointment, again. After several attempts of calling them to reschedule another appointment , and not being able to reach a representative, I finally scheduled one for May, which was after the deadline for my lab work was already due. I had to request an extension from my insurance company. The day before my appointment, I received a call after 9pm that the technician was unable to make the appointment. This is my third canceled appointment over the course the course of three months because they can't even answer their phone calls. Based on other reviews, I don't understand how they are still in business. read more

They dont pay their employees. I was hired as an experienced examiner by Tracy in San Diego. Completing around 40 exams for EMSI per Monty. Took her 3 months to get me a check because of her 'computer problems ' and she made me send her ALL of my exam paperwork again.....it then took her another month to give me a check which was the total wrong payrate, compensating me something like $12-$16 per exam, which I average normally $35-$65 with every other company. She then denied that she hired me as an experienced examiner even tho the first day I was there I met her boss who HAS heard of me due to my outstanding reputation in San Diego. She also said she would reimburse me for any lab kits of my own that I use, which is industry standard unless otherwise stated in the contract. She owes me somewhere between 80 and 120 lab kits that cost me $9 each. She owes me about 2,000 in compensation for exams and refuses to own up. All she does is give me excuse after excuse. "Oh my car broke down." "Oh my father is in the hospital." "Oh my son" this and that, "sorry I forgot, can you send me your invoice again?" Corporate wont return my calls. EMSI in san diego has TOTAL dysfunctional, unorganized, crooks liars and scammers as management. If you know what it's like to be a medical examiner, DO NOT work with these people. read more
