Most of the bids were flat rate for interstate moves, even though both towns were right on the border of each state and most bids were approximately $1,200. One company even bid three moving men for this trip. I clearly understand when families move their entire home and all belongings, one may need more movers and time for this process. This furniture had no sentimental value and was not worth $1,200; I simply wanted to utilize something I already had as I do not like to shop. TJ's Services arrived for the pickup and delivered on time. They were very courteous and did a very nice job. I would not hesitate to contact them again if I had any other moving needs.

Local move from house in Barberton, Ohio to Parma Heights, Ohio. Moved from a 4 bedroom house to a…read more3 bedroom house. Both homes had bedrooms upstairs and a basement. Most belongings were packed in boxes and containers. The boxes were clearly labeled where they should go in the new house (2nd floor bedroom, living room, 1st floor bedroom, kitchen, basement). The movers asked where to place the furniture. Unfortunately almost all of the boxes and containers were loaded into the basement and stacked 4-5 boxes high, completely filling up the basement leaving no access to the furniture in the basement. Then, to add insult to injury, the final price was almost $2,000 Higher than the original quote. CJ did finally adjust the price down by $1,000 because of the damage to our antique dining room table and other factors. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with CJ, he was defensive, denied any wrong doing and was insisting nothing was his fault. My son and daughter in law spent two months moving boxes and containers up the stairs so we could unpack where the items belonged. Additionally, most of the wood furniture was scratched and scraped during the move. Probably because none of the furniture was wrapped or protected properly. The initial estimate was done by having me take pictures of each room on my house, garage and patio. Obviously not a very reliable method. Overall this is a nonprofessional, start up company trying to cut corners at the expense of the client. Do yourself a favor and go with a more seasoned, professional moving company like Two Men and a Truck!

In December 2020, I moved 1600 miles across the country, took a few of my things, and planned to…read moremove the rest this spring when I sold my house. Feb. 2021, I called Lane's and told them my house was going on the market sooner than expected, that about half of my stuff was in boxes, that I would be flying back into town and asked if they could do an estimate. I was assured that it would be "very accurate", and even though things weren't packed, that Mark could still estimate how many boxes it would be. He came out, scanned boxes, we walked through the entire house. Everything we were taking was either in the basement or the garage. The rest of the rooms were empty, as we were getting ready to lay new carpet before the house sold. In April 2021, I called them to schedule the move and told them 90% of the stuff was now packed in the garage. They scheduled pick up for April 30 (Friday). On May 3rd, they called to give me the final total and it is $2,700 higher than the estimate. Mark has given me nothing but excuses as to why he missed on the estimate by 3,000lbs...said there is nothing in his estimate about items in the basement and he never went down there. When I corrected him and said that I DID take him down to the basement, he said there was too much stuff in the house, that he was unsure/confused about what was going and what wasn't, that he was confused and maybe he included the items in the basement with the ones in the garage. Nothing was ever mentioned to me about confusion during the original quote and no one ever suggested that they come out to re-scan after everything was boxed and in the garage. He has told me they are too busy, that they can't keep up with the demand, that he wished I would've called someone else for a quote, that he is going out and doing quotes to decide if they will even take the job or not. Regardless, neither Lane's or Allied has been willing to make it right so far, my stuff will arrive in 48 hours and we are left to come up with the additional $2,700...

0/5. Smooth Moves…read morewas subcontracted for me by Pack & Load Services, and I paid $953.75 in advance. The three movers who were sent to my 75-year-old mother's house--Danny, Keaton, and Zack--were completely unprofessional. The three men arrived late, brought no supplies with them to load furniture, and were reeking of marijuana. They disappeared for almost an hour to use the restroom and buy ineffective supplies. When they returned, they grew impatient while my mother reviewed the contract details and ultimately walked out, refusing to perform any loading services. I called the owner in Lima, Ohio. He was shocked at his movers' unprofessionalism. However, after sending him photo evidence, he ignored all of my follow-up messages and calls. Stay away at all costs! These movers caused my mother emotional stress.
