One of the best BBQ in Rockmart, the pulled pork sandwich is amazing. Covered in sauce and a toasted bun with butter on it. With such a wide variety of different types of smoked food. The ladies that work the counter are always sweet and help you as soon as they possibly can. Not to mention that he is a military veteran. I mean you always have to support those that fought for our country!

Food and service was really good. Really impressed with the bologna sandwich and the brisket sandwich. Tons of meat on both. The service was great. Veteran owned and operated.

The meats were outstanding. The potato salad was amazing and we really liked the coleslaw. The place was neat and clean. Most of the employees were friendly but the girl who took our order unfortunately was not. When asked about recommendations, she was honestly pretty rude. I'm glad we didn't let this deter us because the food was so good.

Absolutely the best experience in bbq. The owner is retired veteran and the coolest guy on the planet to talk to. Order BIG and take some home to show your support! The food is absolutely amazing. We got the meat sampler, fries, coleslaw, baked beans, Mac and cheese. Everything was fantastic.

I stumbled upon this place while driving in town and I saw the smoker smoking away so I had to stop and try the Bbq since I'm a Bbq junkie. The place is nice on the inside with old signs and lots of wood. I ordered the rib dinner and an order of frys for pops because he doesn't do Bbq. The Bbq rib dinner was $13 so I wasn't expecting much ribs but when I opened the container it was 3 bones of meaty ribs with the tips still on, slabs of ribs. I ordered sauce on the side and the dinner comes with slaw and one side which I chose the greens. The ribs were the ones with the little chew, not the super soft boiled texture kind. The ribs were so meaty that the third rib was hard to get down and I was full. The rids were Smokey but not over Smokey with a tasty seasoned bark. The meat was moist with nice flavor and needed no sauce at all. The Bbq sauce was good and tangy so I used a little.

Their BBQ is better than Jim n Nicks. The portions are ample, the cost lower than Jim n Nicks or Johnnys. We make the drive here from Powder Springs without question.

Tiny mac and cheese for $3.00.

PARKING - The parking lot seemed pretty small but was able to find a spot easily since it was 5pm on a Sunday. ATMOSPHERE - Seems more like a little hole in the wall type place but not in a bad way. It was clean and the décor wasn't cheesy. STAFF - We were the only customers inside upon entering and were greeted promptly. We had never been before so began looking at the menu board and were offered menus to make it easier. While looking, 2 young girls came in and they placed an order and the owner was very friendly with them. Going out of his way to make what they wanted, some type of pork potato that wasn't on the menu. When we were ready to order my son asked for the catfish as it was listed in the menu we were given. The owner told him "It's only on Friday and Saturday's but if you were a pretty girl I would have made it". I took it as a joke at the time. So we placed the order at 5:28 PM shown on the receipt. The owner then gets 2 calls for Togo orders and another couple comes in and orders. Everyone gets their food, even the couple after us and they all finish eating and leave before we get our food. The owner checks on the 2 young girls and is again very friendly with them, checks on the couple that was finishing and is friendly with them and then looks at us and says "oh isn't your name ___, I don't know what happened to your order". My son got some bad vibes about that and it reminded him of the earlier comment and insisted that if we were cute girls we probably would have had our food. We drove 40 minutes to try this place and after 45 min of waiting I just asked for them to place the food they were still preparing in a togo box. I would have loved to eat there as we made a special day trip but left for a 40 min drive home hoping the food would be decent. I do have to say the owner did apologize two times and it seemed the order could have got mixed in with the two togo orders and put on the bottom of the list somehow. Out of 5 total orders I'm now having 2nd thoughts on the apology especially if two of those orders already had and finished their food. My son feels the attention we got was not the same as the others. With only 2 other tables of two people who got their food and 2 togo orders he took over the phone. It took the owner 40 min to notice we hadn't had our food yet when there was no one else in the restaurant. PRICE - I thought the food was on the high side. A rib sandwich with mac and cheese and a drink was $17.50. I felt the mac and cheese was super small for $3.00 (see pic). I'm also not a fan of the credit card machines that prompt you to leave a tip when you haven't even had the food yet and now wish I could take the $6 extra I paid that wasn't tip worthy. FOOD - When I got home I noticed I had normal ribs and not the rib sandwich I ordered. I guess that worked out better since ribs cost more and the ribs were decent but not life changing. The mac and cheese was bland and felt like it came from a box with a little more cheese added. My son had a brisket, jalapeno and sausage sandwich and it was just ok. THE GOOD - Drink station with free refills, to go lids and straws easily available - 2 types of BBQ sauce to try with silverware - Paper towels at every table (these items worth 1 star) - The ribs were ok (one star worth) THE INDIFFERENT - For a name like Exotic Que we didn't see anything exotic - The price and size of mac and cheese - The 40+ min wait for two sandwiches - Had to make my own rib sandwich - The indifferent service (many other reviewers mentioned this also) - The menu that didn't match the real menu - The overly friendly conversations with female customers and getting a "oh yea what was your name again" question for us. Will not return. We could have driven to Moe's BBQ, had more food for less money with better taste, friendlier service and been back home before our food was even ready at Exotic Que.

Excellent pork and brisket. It has been a long time since I have eaten brisket like that. Juicy and no need to sauce it. Amazing!

I make this post sadly. When this restaurant first came to the Rockmart area it was a godsend. You…read morecould get to go food and it was some of the best to go food around but the last two or three visits picking up to go orders have been a disaster. Salads have been totally forgotten as well as other food items and today after picking up another to go order. The side salad isn't even covering the bottom of the dish and several of the pieces of lettuce were wilted #1 even had dressing on it somehow. It's very disappointing to see this new restaurant go down so quickly, but it is headed that way fast. Also, I'm trying to attach a picture of the baked potato. You can tell that it is a very old baked potato. That's been sitting in a heating drawer for sometime.

Maybe a big part of the difference was the server - Cory was amazing the first two times and the food was great Yesterday, my husband's soup was cold. He had it sent back, and the second bowl was slightly warmer, but still not hot. At that point, he gave up and just ate it. French onion soup should always be piping hot since it was just under the broiler. Our waitress was AWOL quite often while we were there. Another waitress brought out our food, and yet another waitress brought us refills. We never got the extra bread we asked for, either. Also, there wasn't enough handicapped parking, so we had to park on the other side of the building and my husband had to wheel around the entire outside of the building. He won't be returning to this location.
