Rustic country restaurant that specializes in BBQ. I'm not a big fan of their BBQ, but their salad bar is the best in the county, bar none. They do have ribeye and Mew York strip steaks. I've never had a steak here, so I cannot vouch for the taste. What they do have is a generous hamburger steak, a nice catfish plate, and the best value in a fried or Cajun shrimp plate. Sides include baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, onion rings, fries, etc. As I previously mentioned, the salad bar is the star. They have homemade thousand island and ranch dressing to go with at least 20 different toppings ranging from real bacon pieces, dill pickle spear slices, pickles jalapeños, peperoncini peppers, black and green olives, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, sunflower seeds, and much more. Can you tell that I like this place for the salad bar and everything else is just secondary. At lunch, they have a good meat and two/three menu to go along with hotdogs, hamburgers, BBQ sandwiches, etc. Waitresses are attentive and helpful. read more

The best BBQ in Rockmart, although I don't like it as well as my favorite place in Rome. We order quite often for lunch at work and I love the Hickory fries. I ate here with my daughter and I got a BBQ sandwich and she got the Brunswick stew. Lots of people get gallons of it to go, so it must be good! I don't understand the negative reviews. We had lunch with family, everyone agreed that the food was very good. The service was excellent, Ashlin, our server was very attentive, our drinks glasses were never below half full. The meals were the Hickory Salads, Fried Chicken Livers and a BBQ Plate all well prepared and presented. My wife even stated she would make the 200 mile round trip just a eat a Sidekicks. read more

They have a good salad bar. But every time we get something to go the orders never right. They never apologize. Or make us feel like they've taken care of the problem. If you don't have to, don't. My wife is a chicken fan & didn't like that the fried chicken breast seemed processed and deep-fried, so sent it back for them to keep & delete from our order. She ate & liked a salad bar salad with ranch & my french fries. It should be noted that the staff worked hard at service recovery. I liked the Steak & Gravy, which is a country-fried steak. It seemed previously prepared & deep-fried on site. And I liked it. The white gravy was okay but needed lots of pepper & a micro-dose of salt. The onion rings were good. We come here all the time. But it keeps getting worse I don't think we will come back. We used to order catfish from here we asked them to cook it without putting egg wash with chicken flower seasoning instead of the fish fry they used to do it every time we come here with no questions asked it's one less step for them but last time we came they said they were no longer going to do that for us we will have to eat it the way it comes out which is over battered so thick it won't even stay on the fish flakes off and super greasy then today me and my wife try something different Grilled chicken with cheese it was so chewy and tough you could not even eat it we asked about taking it off and I did deduct eight dollars for the chicken even though the sweet potato was brown from being cooked a few days ago and heat it up the food has went downhill here been coming here for about eight years sad to say but I believe I will take my business elsewhere which there isn't a whole lotta of places in Rockmart to eat besides Mexican. I have been here a couple times and I have NEVER seen such horrible customer service. The waitress just stood around and talked. Not only was they just talking and standing there. you could hear them from across the damn restaurant. It took us around an hour to just get our food and it wasn't even hot. it barely warm. I went with a customer today to this place and had no idea they served a meat and three. I had been there before and had only gotten a sandwich or salad. My account told me that they had a meat and three and I had to ask where the menu was on it and its on the regular menu on the back but not a standout. I saw they had Chicken Livers and I absolutely Love them but hard to find them any longer. I ordered those with the sides of mashed potatoes, Fried okra, pinto beans and a big glass full of ice cold tea. The food was amazing and so was our waitress and I also enjoyed my customers company. We went for the 1st time last night and it was good. The service was good. The salad bar is small but has a decent variety. Pulled pork was good. Mac and cheese was not. Fried catfish was thin and average taste. We will try again on a Thursday since that is the only night they serve ribs. If they are not good we probably won't go back. read more

This will be a short review. We sat down and there was food on the seat which was quite nasty. The service wasn't very friendly and it was somewhat slow for an order of cheese sticks and grilled chicken with a sweet potato. The cheese sticks weren't homemade which was kind of a downside and the chicken and sweet potato had a weird texture. We won't be returning here again. read more

I wouldn't give it one star if I could help it, the food was not good we got the bbq plates to go and the pork is dry & taste terrible, fries looked like they have been in old oil, the restroom was dirty and the lighting in it was so dim that the paper towel sensor couldn't sense your hand in front of it and no dryer there was also no way to lock the restroom door and being that it's one restroom that's open well yeah that's not good. From the road it looks good upon entering it had an odor you can't really place. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

We ordered the "onion rings" I put them in quotes, because they are more breading and grease than they are onions. My husband could literally ring the grease from his. They were disgusting. Best BBQ around! They are always genuinely friendly! They have delicious food - BBQ rib plate is the best! They make their own Baked beans that are made with meat in a delicious sauce! They also make all their own sauces - the honey mustard is the best I have tasted! I love that they have a drive threw window where they offer select quick fresh menu items! The cheeseburgers and steak & cheese sandwichs are a great pick! I have also ordered take out and picked it up at the window - having kids, it makes life easy! I am disappointed in that I loved their shrimp , now they have pops corn shrimp (not the same. Their hush puppies are awesome!
