The upsides to this salon are: 1)quick phone response (I called yesterday for a same day appointment and got one right away) 2) prices are in line with other salons are charging (I think. it's been so long since I had a regular manicure. I paid $35 for regular manicure and regular pedicure) 3) the place was clean (no temp check but they have plastic barriers between pedicure stations) 4) UT did a good job on my pedicure downside: I've been neglecting my nails since my nail tech left the salon I used to go to. The work of finding a new tech who does a great job is a process. Also - regular manicures don't last that long. But a day later, my polish is chipped and it's very noticeable that the tech skipped over the second coat of polish in many places. One thing I require of nail services is effort, which leads to neatness. And this is not that. ALSO, now that I'm reading all these other reviews about people being cut, the nail tech also cut my cuticle so hard that it bled a lot. And she had none of that green antiseptic that techs normally use for that. She just let it bleed. SMH. read more

This is the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. They cost 60-70 dollars and you get a cheap job in return. I've been to multiple amazing places and out of my experiences at the nail salon this is the worst yet the nails are bulky sloppy and poorly installed. Not to mention when you let the manager know how you feel about your nails. She is rude, disrespectful and tells you oh well the salon has bugs and is not kept up with I got my nails done, and they also popped off the very next day. MISLEADING AND LYING ABOUT PRICES TOLD ME A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PRICE AFTER PROVIDING THE SERVICE I have never written a yelp review before, but this experience was so ridiculous that I decided to make an account. I was charged 15$ for gel removal and cutting my nails/cuticles when I was initially told that I would be charged 15$ for all of that plus a new gel coat. I went on 8/20/2021 to get hard gel removed. When I walked in I was told 10$ for removal and 15$ for removal plus new gel. I confirmed multiple times with the young girl in the front that 15$ would include removal and new gel. Right before the lady applied the new gel, the two girls talked and she told me that it would actually be 30$ for everything. I told her I do not want the new gel and will stop the service now. I was then told my total would be 15$ (not with new gel). Also, she did not even remove the entire layer of hard gel on all of my nails. She explained that she was charging 5$ for removal (which wasn't even properly done) and 10$ for filing my nails and cutting my cuticles. I argued that I would have never agreed or let her continue after the removal if I had known the TRUE price. But, because I was MISLEAD about the real price, I let her continue after removal not knowing that it would cost me an extra 10$ for filing/cuticle cutting. As I was leaving, another customer walked in and was told 5$ for gel removal. Don't forget, that I was told 10$ initially for removal when I walked in and later told something else. Completely ridiculous to charge me 15$ for removal and shaping, without telling me prior to the service what the true price would be. They waited until that had already done the removal and filing/cutting to tell me a whole NEW price. I now regret not arguing with them more to get a fair price. NEVER GOING BACK. read more

It hurts my heart to say but honesty always wins. The people here are so welcoming and kind. It's clean also. Just chivalry as soon as you walk in. BUT my nails didn't last and I could tell he wasn't putting enough glue on my nail but I was like let me let this man do his job. They lifted and broke very easily. Also the nail polish didn't cover my whole nails like on the sides. They're also affordable as I for a gel full set for a reasonable price. read more

Terrible quality I pay $70 to get my nails done and give a $10 tip the very next day one of my nails broke I want to get it fixed and paid five dollars for the repair which was fine in my opinion then the very next day another one of my nails snap I informed the lady that my nail polish was terrible quality and that my nails were terrible quality she said I need to be careful and was very dismissive Not only that that same exact day after I left the salon two more of my nails broke. I wish Yelp would allow you give no stars, one star is even too much. My cousin decided to organize a ladies mani/pedi party for my birthday. At first glance you'd think they're clean, but that's far from what lingers deep within. My mom got a fungal infection from the pedi, which means they definitely do not thoroughly clean their jets regularly, and if they are doing it regularly they're not doing it properly. My mom ended up having to get her entire toe nail removed which was a painful and expensive result of this disgusting facility. They're not even remotely professional or care for standard of cleanliness. After calling them to inform them of the issue with the pedicure, I was rudely brushed off. The service I received here was only mediocre. The technicians barely addressed me during my manicure - they spoke only to each other and never in English. The woman working on my nails pulled at my cuticles so hard that I bled on two fingers and then she pressed rubbing alcohol into the cuts! Came in for a simple pedicure. I'm assuming the lady was angry that I didn't want the "spa pedicure" that cost twice as much. She rushed the job, took what felt like 2 minutes speed trimming and filing the nails, all while muttering under her breath and making faces, and she ended up cutting me at the cuticle. THE WORSE NAIL SALON I HAVE BEEN TO!!!!! After I finished I cried at how awful of a job she did. The lady was very nice. Their nail polishes are not in good shape most of them are seperated. I got a gel manicure and the polish was not smoothed out i have polish on my skin and she cut me accidentally. Walked in they seemed perfectly pleasant. When the worker asked me what I wanted I told her I wanted to get acrylic, then the next five minutes was her telling me not to get that and pushing to get a more expensive manicure done. After being very close to walk out, she decided it was ok if I got an acrylic set. Halfway through the manicure she ended up hurting my finger with the electronic filer, and said "Oh, sensitive skin" without apologizing. I was so livid. Would never go back ever again. read more

As a nail technician you should have the basics like filing and painting DOWN... You should be able to do it with your eyes closed.. I just moved to town and thought I'd try this salon. I always get a gel manicure but I asked if they could soak my gel off first. They said, yes! Then, they began to file my gel off. I was annoyed but just played it off like nothing and tried to make conversation with my nail tech. She could careless and didn't even respond to me! She just sped threw my nails filing them and then cutting them. ( without even asking me if I would like then to be cut!) Finally, when she was done with my nails it looked like a two year old could have done them better! My old nail polish from the previous color was still on the sides of my nails, polish was on my skin, and the nail polling was uneven! It was terrible! Then, she rang me up, did not even mention the total, and took the credit card right out of my hands! Completely rude behavior. Not sure how they are still open! They just got a bunch of new gel colors with a variety of colors and shades. Pedicure only is $20 and gel is $25. Gel mani polish lasts only about a week before random nails start to chip or peel. I can't figure out if this is because of quality of nail polish or application. Usually busy during the week after 4 and weekends in the am. I went on a Saturday at 1 and there was no wait. went in on 12/22/11 to get a gel manicure before Christmas. The lady was very nice, but she didn't do a good job. My nails looked like I painted them myself at home with cheap nail polish. I paid $30 for a damn gel manicure and was NOT worth it AT ALL!! To top it off, the nail polish started peeling off 2 days after. WORST customer service!!! Terrible experience!!! I went to this nail salon right before vacation since it was close by. When I first walked in, I was picking out a gel color. I let the lady know I am going on vacation I just need a few more minutes to pick out the color. Let me just add I'm considerate if the salon was busy I would've been a bit quicker but there were two people in there but nope she kept rushing me and basically hounding me so I could hurry up. Anyways the male manicurist starts doing my nails..first, as he was doing the cuticle process he kept missing skin, and over all was done very poorly. As he was painting my nails, I noticed tiny bubbles starting to form on my nails. I asked him what that was and he said it's okay it's going to go away when I put gel top coat. So I said okay np ( ofcouse listened to him since he's the expertise. I then take out my nails from the uv light after it's all done. I say "why is this happening? (In panic a little because I was going on vacation) he says to me "it's not my problem, I don't know" I said excuse me?!!? How rude. I then proceeded to ask him to fix it, he shrugged his shoulders and with attitude said sit in the chair. I'm not really one to complain but this is by far the worst customer service ever. They don't smile. They're not friendly. Especially being a business owner and also have worked in retail, this is no way to treat costumers! Not to mention they all (employees) started to talk about me in their language. That is not even what bothered me, it's their disgusting attitude!!! Not a good nail salon. The woman who gave me a manicure wasn't very good at cleaning up my nails and I feel that there are other salons in the area who do a better job. They are cheap and try to save money by not buying more colors or sterilizing their tools. read more

This is a WONDERFUL place. The staff is very nice, and the place is about as clean as it gets. Not to mention the quality of work is VERY good. They have a nicely sized selection of gel colors, which is more than I can say for a lot of other places in the area. The prices are on the low side of average...about $7 - $10 cheaper for a gel manicure, and $10 lower for a pedicure than 2 other places I have gone to within a 5 minute driving distance. I am very shocked and disappointed at the owners of Exotic nails. I have known the male owner since my high school prom in the year of 2000. His wife did my nails and rushed so I had to go back after paying $40 for him to fix them which he was nice about. A week later I had 3 nails chip and it was a gel fill he had done. He picked the color and he couldn't remember which one he used. He wasn't helpful so I walked out and took my business to LA Perfection so they could fix it. I felt like i wanted to yell at this owner at Exotic nails but I had my son with me so I just walked out because he treated me as if it was an inconvenience. His wife even ignored me each time. If I pay $40 for nails they shouldn't have bubbles in them and then chip the next week. I will never go back. read more
