And a little lotion at the end. It was really odd and I was so bummed. I've gotten more of a massage at other nail salons during their basic, less expensive pedicures. It seemed like that would be a dedicated part of the pedicure, but nope not so. The "hot towel treatment" was literally just my legs being wiped down quickly with a warm towel lol. I've had a lot of pedicures and, unfortunately, this one just left me walking away feeling disappointed. I will say that the plus side of this was that my feet do feel more ready for summer, but I could've gotten that with just the $45 version. Or at another salon with a lot more treatments. This was not worth the extra money at all for their $60 "spa" one. And I'm really glad I didn't bother trying to get their $75 one! It's a bummer because I really wanted to love this place! It's cute inside and the woman who did my nails was nice. It just felt like a pretty unjustifiable rip off to pay $15 extra for all these things and only get jelly water (I think the crystals were in there) and some exfoliant (the latter I also get with standard pedicures elsewhere, it's far from "high end" as stated). If they wanted to charge $60 for just those things, that's totally their prerogative! But then please don't advertise more treatments taking place when they're not. I still tipped 25% but in hindsight I feel a little silly having done so. Ah well.

And guess what? The extensions started falling out after just 17 hours -- not even one full day. I was told they would last 20 days. What a complete ripoff. When I brought this issue to her attention today, she fired me and threatened to report me to the NJ State Board of Cosmetology & Hairstyling to have my license revoked, despite signing an attestation to the government couple of weeks prior. This feels like outright retaliation; if she genuinely believed I was not properly trained by her own self, she should not have signed the form in the first place. Every day was a struggle as she gaslighted me into thinking I was the problem, when she was truly the core issue. Her unprofessional behavior not only undermined my confidence, but also created a toxic atmosphere. Several clients noted the negativity and some even decided not to return. Unfortunately, that manicure began chipping and cracking shortly after the appointment. I have been getting dip powder manicures for about a year, and this is the first time I've had that kind of issue. When I returned, I showed the staff the chipping and cracking and explained what had happened. I decided to switch from dip powder to gel, but I was then charged for removing the dip powder manicure. At no point were the pricing details clearly explained beforehand, so the extra charge came as an unpleasant surprise. What was most disappointing was the lack of customer service. Since the previous dip manicure had failed after only two weeks, I expected at least an offer to fix the issue, a discount on the new service, or some acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Instead, I was charged full price with no attempt to make things right. I had been considering making this my regular nail salon because it is so close to my home and very convenient. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my mind. Clear communication about pricing and better customer service would have made a big difference.

The way they take the time to ensure your nails are cut, clean , and shaped properly is what keeps me coming back. A lot of us have ingrowns and the way they go to town to make sure they cut them out is superior compared to other salons, and I've been to a ton of other spots in my travels. Rosa, Linda, and Veronica are top notch. If you upgrade to the spa pedi to I get an extra massage and other things depending on which package you choose. There is also an abundant selection of polish colors including gels and dip powders. The customer service is excellent, everyone in the salon is so friendly and welcoming. When I asked why he did it anyway, instead of apologizing, he responded rudely and humiliated me in front of the store, which is what caused me to lose my temper. For the 25 minutes that I was sitting there other customers walked in other customers were serviced, and no one was giving me any information or update on who she was or what time she was going to get there. No apologies, no explanations. I finally said that I was there for designs and if my tech was going to be very late or too busy that I would just come back Monday. I was told she was on her way. She walked in at about 918, I should say she meandered in. She was on the phone, no sense of urgency with a nice fresh iced coffee in her hand. No greeting, no apology, no acknowledgment other than for her to abruptly waive her hand at me and then wave towards her station. I walked over to her station, didn't sit down and waited for her to collect herself and acknowledge me. She did not and made another impatient hand motion towards her seat. Nobody, and I repeat nobody, has time for that attitude first thing on a Saturday morning. I said "I'm good, not interested in keeping the appointment." And I walked out. Her behavior showed me that she has no respect for me or my business or my time. Her attitude showed me that the two hour manicure probably would've been uncomfortable. My manicure probably would've been somewhere around $125 because of the designs and a pedicure would've been around $50. Once you throw in tip we're talking about over $200. That is a luxury service and not one that I'm going to sit through aggravated and uncomfortable because the nail tech is inconvenienced by customers that show up on time. I give this a very grown out thumbs down. I'd rather look for a nail salon in the hood where they show up with respect for your time and money and excited to do the manicure. It might be a little bit of a drive but Perth Amboy here I come. Epic fail kiss Nails. Do better.
