Rented a vehicle from Sunday to Wednesday for an out of town conference. I rented an suv and they gave me a sedan, obviously if I wanted a sedan I'd choose that online. The sedan they gave me had a ton of damage to the body, both passenger rims were scraped, the rear passenger fender was dented, along of scratches all Over the vehicle. I check online while I was there and they still had the suv to book online. So obviously they are not doing their job properly in updating their vehicle inventory for that location. Then there was an issue with the Tamarac office trying to book my rental, I was standing there with a reservation number from the previous day, that took another 30 mins to straighten out. When I was finally cleared for the vehicle I noticed that it was dirty inside and out and I was told that was because the vehicle was shuttled around from Boca to Tamarac to Pompano I asked if a wash was available for it and was told yes but that would take 30 mins. At this point I was already late for appointments I had made but drove it to a nearby carwash and paid to have it washed and deodorized after which I noticed the windows with a dirty film (discusting) took the vehicle home and had to clean the windows myself because I was taking clients out for lunch. I was told because of the delay the return could be late and they would not charge for it (car picked up Tuesday at 9:30 am and returned Wednesday at 8:30 am) I went to my office and noticed a statement from Hertz with a $12.00 late return fee, I have placed several calls to the Pompano office with no answer. I don't expect any response from Hertz they are welcome to keep my rental and their BS late fees. In summary: CUSTOMER SERVICE - 0 stars VEHICLE - 0 stars VEHICLE ODOR - FREE!! Make sure you double check your paper work as they write full tank of gas when in fact there is only 1/3 of cars in the tank. They are slow and expect to wait. Might want to take this in consideration for your road trip or plane you need to catch. Customer service, is not correct and they will try to blame you and their system for any errors made. We swiped our credit card for a prepaid reservation. To have him tell us that the credit card did not work. I understand that they need this on file but don't tell us the card did not go through without a decline receipt, without asking for another card, since the other one did not go through. After the oil change, oil spots in the drive! The mechanic over tightened the oil drain bolt so tight the alloy oil pan cracked and leaks. A common problem with getting your MB serviced at an independent garages. So says MBWorld.org Remedy = $550 for a new oil pan and 23 hours labor $5,500 to remove and replace the oil pan. The entire front subframe needs to be removed to get to the oil pan. !#$%$%^&*. Too bad I can't add the photo.
