I had our car scratches and a dent repainted, Excellent Body work. At the owner suggestion we got an oil change. This vehicle never leaked oil, clean driveway. After the oil change, oil spots in the drive! The mechanic over tightened the oil drain bolt so tight the alloy oil pan cracked and leaks. A common problem with getting your MB serviced at an independent garages. So says MBWorld.org Remedy = $550 for a new oil pan and 23 hours labor $5,500 to remove and replace the oil pan. The entire front subframe needs to be removed to get to the oil pan. !#$%$%^&*. Too bad I can't add the photo. read more

Almost after a year of our car being fixed at this auto shop. We recently traded in our car at carmax, they said the work done was so horrible (emphasis on horrible). They looked at the car well over 30 minutes and only complaining about that one area where the repairs were. They took the whole door apart and said the welding was horrible work and that if we were to trade it in will have to redo completely because of how terrible the repairs were. They painted my car's hood and I also have an oil change done, they were very accommodating and the price was comparable with other places I checked, the work was done properly and on time. This business allows their customers to suffer for poor business planning. How dare they tell me that I can no longer come to their establishment due to only getting oil changes. They mentioned that since I am not getting other services done, the oil changes are costing them too much money. It's like going to Walmart and only buying milk and the manager tells you not to shop there anymore because you didn't go to the pharmacy, buy clothes, or appliances. They are stupid. Every time I came in, the people here were genuinely attentive, courteous and patient in explaining the problems and my options. I cannot recommend this place. I came here to get an estimate for some bodywork. As soon as I drove in, a guy (the owner, mechanic, or manager) signals to me. I rolled down my window, and then he condescendingly yelled at me, "Don't park in the middle of the driveway!" I waited approximately 20 minutes for an estimate. He told me the price. I didn't even get a chance to reply. Then surprisingly, he said, "If you don't like it, this isn't the shop for you. You can go elsewhere." After discovering fluid leaks under our 2001 Toyota 4Runner, I brought it in for an evaluation. Owner Jay took charge and not only repaired all leaks, but also completely refurbished the vehicle. Because he addressed other problems when the engine was dismantled, he saved us on future labor charges. He fully explained everything every step of the way. The car was returned to us in perfect working order and looked almost new. We may keep it for another 150,000 miles! The staff is competent, professional and extremely helpful. The owner of this facility is extremely rude and does not care about clients time! I took my car in on a Friday and the owner came out and looked at my car for the work that I wanted done and he quoted me a price and said that it would be no problem and scheduled me an appointment for that coming Monday to do the work. I took my car in for my appointment on Monday morning and the owner came out and told me that he changed his mind and was going to cancel my appointment and refused to work on my car! He was very rude about it and has no interest in good customer service or treating people nicely! I do not recommend this shop at all! I called and asked for a top off on my oil because I still had 2,000 miles left before an oil change but was going on a road trip. I was told I can come in for one and realized I was waiting there for more than 45 min for a simple top off. When I went to go ask why it was taking so long I was told the car was being inspected and I owed them money for the inspections and diagnostic work they did on it without my consent. I refused to pay for the service I didn't ask for and Jay gets upset and tells me this isn't charity work and that I should pay his employees for the work they did but yet for work I didn't ask for. He then tells me they added oil to the car and that I should be good but when I went to check my oil nothing was added so they lied to me knowing my oil was low and that I was going on a long road trip and it wasn't safe to go with my oil level like that. This business and the employees obviously have NO INTEGRITY and I will no long take my car there to get serviced again read more

Auto Tech NEVER, IN 4 YEARS, FIXED ANYTHING RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.!!!!!!! They did our Saabs and Lexus's. Our other 5 vehicles are still under warranty so they go to the dealer!!! ALWAYS had to bring them back because they were NOT fixed correctly the first time! I am a YOUNG retiree (30)& winter in Florida. I started to going to them based on their AAA approval...... I have NO idea what AAA is thinking!!!!! I will NEVER take any of my FLORIDA vehicles there again!!!!!! Excessive overcharging for parts. After I got home and reviewed my invoice, I noticed items such as 8 spark plugs at $20.58 each (total of $165). Checking online, spark plugs range from an average of $3 to top of the line platinum for $8 each. $20 each is obscene. Also cabin filter at $52 found on-line for $12. The list goes on. My bill was very high. These are for parts only, labor was separate. I'd expect to be gouged like this at a dealer, not an independent. This is a top notch body shop. If you can sneak a peak down their hallway to the back you can see they utilize production schedules which I haven't seen before in family owned businesses. When I asked about it, they told me they now utilize a computer program to track production and productivity which was really impressive to me that they can provide individual attention to customers and have such an efficient process. They repainted the hood on my Honda Pilot and it looks amazing. They were able to address the paint on the rest of the vehicle to make it look sharp and match the hood. They also repaired the moulding on my Subaru and remedy the scratches. My 87 year old mother brought her vehicle to Auto Tech and Body to change an oxygen sensor which was previously diagnosed as faulty. According to Jay, a new sensor, bracket and harness was installed, but the check engine light remained on. My mother was charged $254.32 for parts and $64.25 for labor. There was a $22.00 discount and the total bill was $334.21, after being advised that a new ECM was needed. My mother was never given a written estimate for a repair estimate over $100.00. Considering the excessive amount charged for the oxygen sensor part, combined with never receiving a written estimate, it is my true belief that Jay took advantage of an elderly, 87 year old single woman. I spoke to Jay, and asked why he didn't replace the original oxygen sensor if he knew it was not defective, and he was unable to give me a believable response. I gave Jay the opportunity to replace the original oxygen sensor and charge my mother for labor only. Jay refused to do so. In talking to Jay on the telephone, I found him to continually talk over me in an attempt to prevent hearing what I had to say. Jay was unable to provide me with an acceptable reason for over charging my mother. Auto Tech and Body has taken advantage of the elderly, and the public has a right to know they can not be trusted. read more

I have had pretty bad experience with mechanics in the past, they have scammed me, being rude and at the end I ended up losing money and with a terrible taste. I took my 1998 BMW M3 for bodywork and painting. This is supposed to be a dedicated track car, but the results came out so good that I can't help but want to drive it every day. The car looks fantastic and I really appreciate the dedication and attention to detail. The shop even perfectly matched the paint on my wheels to the color of the car. I do not have any bodywork experience, but I know painting a silver metallic car is not easy. The paint was applied evenly and consistently without any unevenness or blotchiness. The car constantly gets thumbs up despite the 221,000 miles. Everyone is super friendly and approachable. Jay, the owner, and his staff are super accommodating and the work speaks for itself.
