They assured that we are getting a fantastic set of fixtures for our bathroom remodel. We swallowed hard because the cost was 50% more than the metal fixtures we had looked at by Koehler, but they convinced us. What a mistake. All of the control handles and Blu fixtures are stamped from plastic with cheap metallic coating. We've had two completely delaminate, and all of the wall covers have come loose. Our general contractor has been trying to get Pedini to replace those which the yellow plastic is showing through the cheap veneer, but three months later, the only thing we hear is the chip of crickets. Please think long and hard about a high-end distributor who pawns cheap plastic fixtures off, then seems to avoid standing behind them when they fail.

One thing I love about this store is that they have a wide array of masculine furnishings and decor. It's a nice change of pace from many furniture stores that seem geared toward older styles. They do a great job of catering to everyone's "eye".

We chose Rockwell/Chic at the recommendation of our contractor, as this was their preferred cabinet provider. This proved to be a mistake, as Liane Rockwell was more interested in satisfying her sense of design than meeting our needs within the space available. Our contractor needed to intervene to get the design changes we needed. Then the design mistakes showed up with the cabinets. Drawers would not fit under bathroom sinks and had to be remade, the kitchen appliance garage was missing the internal box and shelves, and the storage cabinet for our laundry room was delivered without anything to support the internal shelves and it was 2 inches shorter than needed, preventing the installation of the adjacent cabinets flush to the ceiling as desired. The Liane's response was, "Those things happen", and she refused to correct the situation. Leaving our contractor to deal with the cabinet manufacturer.

They were able to get the job done in a timely manner and communicated all the details (scope of work, pricing ...) upfront. Jim was extremely courteous, friendly and professional. Their plan looked wonderful, and after a month we had a few questions. After meeting with a ton of other contractors, we established a few questions we never thought of before we started this project. They told us that we would have a ton, and they would be very happy to help us. We are going to spend a lot of money, and wanted to make sure that the money we were going to spend was going to the right people. We asked the same 12 questions to the other contractor and they got back to us within a few days. I do not feel the questions were out of line, but apparaently they did not want to answer them. Look we are getting into a large project. Full kitchen and two bathrooms with a 1800 sq ft home getting its hardwoods completely restained and sanded. We got an email saying that they had been out of town, after a week of not hearing from them. After that never heard from them again. Still, have never heard from them. We emailed, and texted them many times. Nothing. I understand life happens, and things happen. However I have been in customer service most of my life, and if something happens you let your customers know why you cannot or will not be able to respond. After excellent service, there was no follow through, and after telling us, we would have a ton of questions, and they would be happy to answer any of them, they never did.

I usually don't write reviews, but I'd like to share mine for this time…read more I first contacted Bauformat for kitchen remodeling last February 2023 after seeing their pictures online, and I signed the contract in April 2023 after receiving the design. However, the actual order for cabinet production was placed in July 2023, and the cabinets produced in Germany were delivered in December 2023. I understood that it would take time since the cabinets are produced in Germany, but the company provided no schedule updates properly and just kept saying it would take time. During the installation process, design issues were discovered, requiring us to reorder cabinet parts. It took several weeks to receive the revised parts, and when we received the newly modified cabinets, they were still not properly finished, so we had to order parts again. The quickest we can expect the cabinets to be corrected is by September 2024. This has caused significant inconvenience in using the kitchen, and I think, there is no guarantee the issue will be resolved by September 2024. I understand that unexpected issues can arise during work and that ordering from Germany can take time. However, I didn't receive proper schedule updates or solutions throughout the process, and it was difficult to get answers even when I raised concerns. The process has been still ongoing for over a year. All I asked for was an explanation of when and how the issues would be resolved so that I could adjust my schedule accordingly. However, Bauformat responded that they had reordered the parts and there was nothing more they could do. It's a very unpleasant experience so far.

He worked with me to find items within their line and vendors but also gladly welcomed me bringing outside items like my sink, bathroom mirror, and tile for the kitchen back splash (who is now a vendor of theirs). He was skilled in finding the right colors and design to fit my style. They worked to keep within my budget and their estimate accurately reflected the final cost. The quality of the cabinets is great, no surprises from what is in their showroom and the contractor they hired is a perfectionist - witch caused a delay in finishing but was well worth it for the results. The team was very responsive to all my calls, even if they couldn't get an answer right away. The entire team seemed as excited about the finished product as I was. I highly recommend Bauformat Seattle for design, quality and customer service. I'll post pictures after painting.
