I called in advance wondering if I needed an appointment, if I would be there for hours or what. I spoke to the kindest gentleman, Jon, who calmed my anxiety and answered all of my questions with total patience. He even told me it would take less than 3 minutes! (He told me the exact timed total but I forget lol) When I arrived, I was the only person who was in line for emissions and drove right up on. Another young man welcomed me along with Jon, and they informed me that the systems were down. I thought this meant that I couldn't do the test at all, but they assured me that I could, but there may be a delay in it being auto submitted to the tag office. All good for me! It's so good to know that in advance. Jon did his thing, all the steps needed to do this test and I swear, less than 3min later (I feel like it was even quicker than he quoted me) he was done!! What an amazing experience. At Wash Barn, emissions tests begin at $18 but for $2 more, you can get a car wash with the works. Sounded great to me so I quickly took that deal. Between the emissions test, chatting it up with Jon and the car wash, I was in and out in about ten minutes. Superior experience, customer service and value all in one.

I paid over $3,000 to have my BMW's air-conditioning repaired. After the repair, I had to bring my car back because there was now a problem with the fan--something I had not experienced before bringing my vehicle in. I was then told it would cost approximately another $900 to repair. One of my biggest regrets was telling them what the BMW dealership had quoted me--close to $5,000. In hindsight, I feel that sharing that information put me at a disadvantage. Instead of walking away feeling like I saved money, I walked away questioning whether I had been treated fairly. When I returned, they did explain what they believed was happening with the fan. However, from my perspective, if the fan was already having an issue while the AC system was being repaired, I should have been contacted and told about it before the original repair was completed. That would have allowed me to make an informed decision before spending thousands of dollars. At this point, I honestly wish I had gone to the dealership. I may have paid more initially, but I would rather have paid more and walked away confident in the work than spend over $3,000 and then be told I needed another approximately $900 repair for a problem I wasn't experiencing beforehand. I waited before writing this review because I didn't want to post something out of frustration. Months later, it still bothers me. For me, this is about more than the money--it is about trust. Unfortunately, I left this experience feeling that the trust I placed in this business was misplaced. They have also kept me from driving my daughter's car off a cliff on numerous occaisions. Although, if that was their recommendation, I would follow it without hesitation as I trust them completely (and really, really hate that car)! For the consistency, quality, and piece of mind, their prices are fair even though they aren't the cheapest place around. He was friendly and got me in and out as quick as anyone reasonably could. What I appreciated most is he was familiar with my old car and its quirks. As my car has aged, I've had trouble getting it to pass emissions, not because of actual emissions problems (I've had my mechanic fix those), but because of electrical issues. Jeffery knew exactly what to do. The shop I get my car serviced at around the corner, Eurotech, referred me to Rapid Rotation. Because of the direct referral, Rapid Rotation knocked $5 off my emissions test fee. They charged me $20 when it's normally $25, so that was nice. Rapid Rotation is kind of like an older, smaller, locally-owned Discount Tire. It's more along the lines of a humble mom and pop shop. Unlike Discount Tire, they also do oil changes, change air filters, service transmissions, drain and fill radiators, service differentials, and change wiper blades. The prices seem fair and in line with other shops. For example, an oil change is $30 ($60 for full synthetic) and a transmission service is $125. There are two Rapid Rotation locations: this one in Marietta and one in Kennesaw. This one is in a small strip (East Marietta Automotive Center) with other auto service shops. The parking lot is packed with cars. The shop itself is old (over 20 years in business) and no-frills. They have a waiting room with windows into the garage (there's actually an "Emissions Test Viewing Area"), a TV, magazines, and a restroom for customer use. During my visit, the TV was tuned to CMT. They have three bays and I saw four employees working when I swung by during my lunch break.
